I heard about this watch from all of the media reports which often say how inaccurate the bodymedia watch is and how it simply does not work as well as they claim. Here is one article bashing bodymedia http://techcrunch.com/2013/11/25/if-inaccuracy-were-illegal-the-feds-would-have-to-regulate-most-health-gadgets/ I am writing this review because I acknowledge that it cannot be 100% accurate. Clearly nothing can perfectly measure the amount of calories you consume. It is debatable whether or not they should even include such a feature though I do appreciate the attempt at giving me a number and a goal. The concept works because it forces you to think about exactly what you are doing every day. Out of the various watches that are out there I think this is one of the better ones for fitness.
The body media armband is great although the interface does not work well with all Androids. At one point, I cancelled my subscription and was not aware that the cancellation did not go through. When I re-instated the monthly subscription, I was charged twice; once for the new month and once for a past due balance. The portal did not notify me that a past due balance existed and I did not know the second charge would appear on my credit card statement. I asked for the second charge to be removed due to lack of authorization and notification, and Body Media customer service refused. I think it's a little underhanded and unethical and not happy with the response.
