I have been a seller on Bonanza for years. Hardly any sales at all. Bonanza does not honor USPS Ground Advantage pickup service. I told them that I did not expect Bonanza to pick up my shipment bc USPS picks up my shipment at my home (the best feature of USPS Ground Advantage). Previously, they encouraged me to participate in their own shipping platform and requested I have $30 in my shipping fund reserve on their website (for their convenience). I am supposed to be able to withdraw these funds at any time, knowing that I wouldn't get their discounts if I used Ship Station or other shipping service instead. Keith, their "Happiness Producer" refused to return my shipping fund of $33.91. I owed them a seller's fee of $7.95 for my recent sale. Instead of waiting for regular billing on 2nd of month, they charged my account right away. I am shocked that they are so petty and malicious. Do not PREPAY any shipping fees to get a discount bc you will not get them back, even though they have a "withdraw funds" link. An error message shows up. Greatly disappointed that I did business with them for years and they have treated me so disrespectfully. Scam artists!
Bonanza has the worst customer service. I have been selling on this site for years, had someone try to fraudulently purchase from me in November because Stripe allows fraud. Got the transactions refunded but on one the sales tax of $52 was already sent to Bonanza. I contacted support and was told they would look into it, that was back in November 2024 and they ignore my emails about any updates. Tried to contact BBB but they closed the case since the company does not keep an updated address. I also would not recommend this site since they also now started making you to use their postage and they charge more when you don't send them money to create a postage account. I have already filed a claim with the state Attorney General with receipts and the emails. If you don't subscribe to their overpriced memberships they don't care about you as a seller.
This is probably the shadiest companies I have ever used! Fair warning selling on this site or buying for that matter.
Look at all their reviews on here, BBB, etc. Speaks volumes on how they are as a company.
US Post Office states item was returned to sender due to an issue with tracking number. I never received the item. Wrote to seller numerous times and never received a response. The only use PayPal which is of no help at all with issues with a vendor. It appears they may be located in India. Strongly suggest not to do business with this seller.
I bought a figure on this website, the money came out of my account, then a email that my order was cancelled and going to be refunded, but I've yet to see any money back. Got scammed by this site by one of their sellers and I don't think I'll get my money back.
Ordered a gift for my father 7 days ago... seller will not send tracking information, even after many inquiries. Should have used eBay or Amazon. Shipping was more then the product itself. So disappointed. Will not return. I just hope I get my 56.00 back
I ordered a dog crate cover through Bonanza; it was sent to the wrong address, and the people at Bonanza sent another one, no questions asked. When that one arrived it was the wrong size. I received an immediate refund. Very professional, quite responsive, and very speedy. I would order from them again!
I tried Bonanza for the first time, and my order never arrived. I tried contacting the seller three times to no avail. I then turned to Bonanza for assistance.
I later learned that disputes have to go though the buyer's credit card company, as Bonanza does not offer any type of purchase protections. That's not a great way to do business, so I wanted to give people a heads up. I, for one, won't be using this site again.
Bonanza isn't really a good resource for online selling and now they eve worse as they actually charge sellers if they don't buy their shipping labels from Bonanza or "approved" integrators. I am only going pay $2 one time because I can't close my account if I don't pay it.
Don't expect to get a refund! Go somewhere else (like etsy or ebay). No help with disputes " keep working with seller" who won't respond to messages. PayPal gave me a refund which let this seller HaiT103 off the hook to refund. Looks like the whole website is a scam
I bought an Xbox 360 game from them. When it arrived, I looked at the disc and it has this faded area at the top of it. I put it in the system to try it put and wouldn't even read the disc. I contacted them. And after back and forth banter for 2 days, they finally just started to ignore me. So now, instead of just giving me a refund or picking something different, I am out of money and a game that is just trash. I used to buy from them with no issues but after this, never shopping with them again.
Starting in November, they charge sellers a $2 shipping "deposit" if you don't buy your shipping from them they keep the $2 deposit. I went from no deposits showing, to $136 added to my bill all at once. Then tried their shipping and cannot print out the label to fit my label stock...Have to print out on a sheet of paper and cut it out and glue it to the package. Their attitude towards sellers changed drastically when the got their new ceo
"Customer Support" is worse than non-existent. No phone number, and emails are only sporadically returned by their "Happiness Producers" (yes that's what they actually call their customer service members--funny/not funny) Entire weeks pass in between replies and when they final arrive they are misinformed and ineffectual. A word to the wise: You're completely on your own when purchasing through Bonanza.
I purchased and paid for an item on January 20. It hasn't arrived yet, which would be OK if there had been ANY communication whatsoever from the seller. It hasn't even shipped yet, and it's February 10. I've sent the seller a couple of messages and gotten no response at all.
I filed a dispute with Bonanza.com, but the only "help" I've gotten is a message telling me to work it out with the seller myself. I can't even leave a seller review without filling out a complete profile, and given my dissatisfaction with the site, I'm not inclined to do that.
I was sold fraudulent items from one of their sellers. As a company they offer ZERO customer support and tell you to work it out with the seller, despite the fact that I was deceived and sold items that were not as listed. After countless emails between the myself and the company and myself and the seller I was able to get a refund for the fraudulent items. I had to pay over $25 in shipping out of my own pocket to return the items. I do not recommend shopping with this service, they provide no support should a transaction go wrong. Many hours and dollars wasted on my end. I would give zero starts if I could.
Purchased diamond painting via Bonanza Market place, took over a month to receive. The quality was terrible, you can't see the letters most are in black the canvas is very thin and missing glue in many spots. I was missing 3 colors of dots and to buy from a craft store. I didn't want to wait another month to receive them. I won't waste my time buying from this seller again. Very poor quality!
They attempted to overcharge me on sales tax. Sales tax is supposed to be charged based on a buyers zip code.
Instead of the seller paying sales tax as it should be, Bonanza has inserted themselves in the middle to collect and pay sales tax on behalf of the buyer. So, if a buyer is charged too much, then where does the extra end up?
This really sounds like something the FTC might be interested in.
I'm not a seller, never have been. I was thinking about buying something until I realized what they are doing.
No need to take my word for this. Open an account and place something in your cart. Then check your zip code to find out how much sales tax you are liable for. Check the numbers. (Tax liability 5.3%) They have also inflated the shipping costs.
They have absolutely nothing I can't do without or find somewhere else.
USPS lost the package, found it 2 weeks later, returned it to the seller and no refund was issued and no communication from the seller. Bonanza is a useless website, contacted support, received instructions what I should do and brief explanation of their policies. I closed my account and will never order again. Neither will any member of my family. You are only good at collecting fees. When it comes to problems, you hide behind your policies and do nothing. The seller didn't give a $#*! and neither bonanza. You are a good match. Keep going like that. Wish you failure.
Our company thought we are trying out this marketplace and listed all of our products we sell. These are more than 10,000 items.
We have the Gold membership for $40 per month with Google Shopping ads.
After two, months, we only sold 6 products.
Many listings have images disappeared, half of the brand we offer cannot be found when using the search function, inventory cannot be set to zero, because Bonanza does not allow to have a zero inventory, and many more bugs/issues.
We contacted the support several times with these problems, but they just ignore you by not responding at all.
We are removing all of our listings and closing our account. Not worth the time because you lose more money in the long run, considering all the time involved.
I ordered two t-shirts on August 18,2016. Today, September 16 I still haven't received my merchandise. I've had numerous email conversations back and forth with Bonanza's customer service people who can't tell me anything about when or even IF I'll ever get my order. They don't even seem to have direct contact with their own seller! All they tell me is that I need to file a dispute with PayPal. I'd really just like the two shirts I ordered. I'm angry, frustrated and disappointed and will NEVER deal with this company again. Bad news!
Answer: Bonanza has an internal customer service department that can be contacted directly at support@bonanza.com, or you can click on the "Contact" link found on the footer of any page on Bonanza.com
Answer: Not fake but not a good site to do business
Answer: Ebay. I always get great customer service from ebay... as a seller. Bonanza provides no customer service; if you have an issue, they just keep sending the same "canned" response over and over... and I had one sale on Bonanza for which they charged me a 17% fee... then they took $25 more out of my bank account... I have addressed both of these issues with Bonanza... Regarding the huge 17% fee... they sent me about seven (7) of the same "canned" response. I wanted a lesser % fee since their website claims they always charge the "lowest fee possible"... just one "canned" response after another... If they would have offered a more reasonable % fee in order to provide me with satisfactory customer service. I would have been satisfied; but they did not... after the seventh "canned" response... I closed my booth... And NOW... EVEN WORSE... they took an additional $25.00 out of my bank account... and for what I have no idea. I called the phone number which was listed with the transaction on my bank account and of course got a recording. I left my information, and it has been four days... and still no response. When you call ebay, you speak to a live person who works to solve your concerns... I HATE BONANZA... and you would think that BONANZA would not want RIDICULOUSLY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS... but they do not care. I moved all my ebay items to Bonanza to see if it was a better experience than ebay... ebay's fees are 10%... and they have a much larger shopping audience... and they have real customer service people that you can talk to. Bonanza has a much smaller shopping audience, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL, and their goal appears to be to charge sellers the most enormous fees that they can get away with. I never get online to post negative reviews... I generally get online to post about great customer service and great products... I like to keep things on the POSITIVE... but this is just not possible with BONANZA... they are like a Phantom Selling Platform... totally disgusted. I will be reporting BONANZA to the BBB and to the US Attorney General's Office. Very disappointing experience.
Answer: Sellers can create and offer coupons with zero limitations ("Sell on Bonanza > Edit booth options > Discounts & Coupons").
Answer: I set up my account with Bonanza and their platform is pretty much the same as setting up an account with eBay, Etsy, Amazon, etc. What problems are you having?
Answer: I have never seen any benefit to paying extra for advertising. Bonanza just doesnt do it like ebay does. Have you ever seen a Bonanza ad on TV? Nope. And therein lies the problem. Nobody will shop there if they havent heard of it. True many sellers are leaving ebay (or sadly being kicked off by the BS) but nearly everyone goes to Bonanza to SELL not to buy.
Answer: Yes and the answer be sure if ya are absent minded of being taken advantage of..
