This may be a lengthy review, but whatever you do, beware, vet Samantha Stankus. Based on her biases, she will provide two things:
1. A costly bill of over 1800.00 for all sorts of exams
2. An unfair and biased assessment.
If PETA is involved, this will be the wrong place to visit. Not only did she not care about my dog possibly being intoxicated by a neighbor's chemicals, but she also spoke with Samantha Phillips from PETA.
I NEVER heard from PETA again. I gathered that Dr. Stankus gave a terrible verbal recommendation based on her biased views, and Mrs. Phillips agreed. None know my history, my character, or my struggles as a disabled individual who, by fire and landlord, suffered homelessness with my two dogs. We lost everything. I could not get them very care, still cannot, and I lost income. Mrs. Stankus did not consider and overlooked them, along with Mrs. Phillips, who are Caucasian females. Why do I mention race? Because of race, these two professionals judged me poorly as a pet owner going through extenuating circumstances and extreme financial hardship. Because of Dr. Stankus, Cookie did not get proper care representation. The vet assumed I was negligent with my dog and may have bad-mouthed me to such a degree that the PETA Rep never called or reached out. She did not explain and did not further investigate with me. The PETA Rep held Drm Stankus's negative account as gospel. Please DO NOT, I LOUDLY REPEAT, DO NOT SEE THIS VET. They will not be sympathetic, nor do they care about your hardships. She was supposed to assess my dog for sudden tremors and seizures due to chemical poisoning and toxicity. Well, that was not an option. I could have been told before the appointment. I find her practice to be interested only in what she can take out of you financially. It is high priced and not affordable for people with disabilities. She judges you based on her biases and your race. If I were a White female, her approach would've been sympathetic and empathetic. Bad vibes; I should've run out. Dr. Stankus seems cold and uninterested. She seldom shows affection or warmth. She seems socially challenged only if you are a minority.
