I recently had an extraordinary experience with Booking.com's Transport Department, all thanks to a wonderful individual named Isah. Facing unexpected delays with my flight, I found myself in a bit of a predicament regarding my taxi booking. It was during this stressful time that Isah stepped in, not just as a representative, but as a beacon of support and understanding. From the moment I reached out, Isah was there to calm my nerves, reassuring me that I was in safe hands. He went above and beyond to accommodate my situation, ensuring that my taxi booking was rescheduled seamlessly amidst the chaos of travel hiccups. His empathy, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to helping me navigate through these difficulties were nothing short of remarkable. Isah's exceptional service and the assurance that "he will do whatever he can to help" truly set a new standard for customer care. It's rare to encounter someone so committed to the well-being and satisfaction of customers. This experience not only alleviated my stress but also reinforced my trust in Booking.com's services. To Isah and the entire Transport Department at Booking.com: thank you for turning a potentially disruptive travel setback into a testament to outstanding customer service. Your efforts are sincerely appreciated, and I look forward to relying on your services in my future travels. Isah, you are a true asset to your team, and your dedication deserves the highest praise.
Booked a car in Nevsehir Turkey, cancelled they sent me an email saying refund will be paid in 7 working days now 21 working days Contacted them 3 times can't help wrong dept we don't talk to each other we just take your money and hold it until you lose interest. Recommend don't use them worse than Banks
I will never ever use this company again. I've gotten told three different stories it was a he said she said situation they have no integrity their principles are down the drain. I could go on and on about this company as you can see that's why they got a 1.4 rating
Got charged an extra 50 euros from my card for a hotel stay a week after it happened.
It is alarming how this can happen, if you give these criminals your card details then they can happily charge you any amount they want to with no authorisation needed.
We recently stayed at Maplestone Hall in Shepton Mallet and had to leave after the first night. Reviews suggested it was clean and staff were friendly. Our experience was the complete opposite. Although Booking.com gave us one night and £20 back, we were told the B&B have refused the refund. We felt the need to let others know there is something wrong with the reviews of this B&B and booking.com have so far not allowed the publication of any photographs, which support our claim. Such a shame because we now feel as though we can't trust any reviews and if this continues, will not dare to trust reviews on booking.com again.
Their advertising is completely dishonest stating that it is "the last room" when it isn't, the cheapest in the area, when it isn't. I have asked them constantly to make sure bookers know it is up three flights of stairs, they won't.! We are looking at alternative ways of advertising our free rooms. They take 15% commission, ring the hotel direct they will almost always beat booking.com price! Awful company that should never be allowed to trade.
DO NOT USE THEM! This site pops up when you try to go to any brand car rental and appears to be the car rental agency itself. I travel a great deal and always book directly with car rental agencies - not an online booking company that makes it's money by ripping people off. Their website states "free cancellation". Every car rental company that I use allows me to cancel up to the time I pick up the car. When my flight was changed 12 hours before departure I had to cancel the reservation and booking.com charged me for the entire rental.
Used Booking.com for various hotels in Italy and when something went wrong (they posted a room as twin beds instead of a double and wouldn't allow for a refund and dodged an email and two calls. They promised to call back after escalating an incident and didn't. On the third call back, customer service apologized for my "aggravation" and refused to let me talk to a manager or escalate the issue. They refused to take any responsibility, blaming the property owner, who then blamed them. It is a scam. I will never use them again.
Tip for consumers:
Use another booking site. There are many of them.

They say there is a refund, but cancellation timelines are too far in advance, especially if you get to a property and it is not what was advertised.
Consistent with the 55% bad reviews of this company I can now see why. I booked a car on Booking.com and it clearly stated on the booking page "free cancellation." After having to cancel, due to Covid, Booking.com says there is a $40 cancellation fee. Even after calling, sending a screenshot of the free cancellation promise, they refuse to refund my money. Now going to fight using my credit card company to retrieve my stolen money. Please use the many other reputable companies out there to book your travel who will give you your money back and honor their promises and agreements. Bye bye Booking.com
Do not trust this website. No refunds for hideous hotels. Despite the advertisement being completely inaccurate. I checked out of a hotel I booked using bookings.com after only 1 1/2 days out of a 5 day stay. Local prostitution on the street. Gunfire at night. Sirens throughout the day. They had a gate to the parking area, not because it's safe there. It wasn't. Terrible hotel, and bookings.com won't do anything.
Do not trust them with your business. I will never use them again.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use this site. There are a lot of reviews just like mine about how poor and disreputable this site is.

Overall approach to Customer Service - thank you, sorry, thank you, sorry - ultimately we will support the property whenever cases of dispute are brought forward.
It took 11 emails through 7 different Customer Service representatives to determine booking.com were not going to provide me with any real help or support.
So, I went to visa, who after investigation, agreed the property was fraudulent, and provided me with a full refund.
There is no mechanism through booking.com to call out the fraudulent properties they support. So you can't trust the reviews on their website either.
We booked two family rooms through Booking.com in B&B in Hythe, Kent to attend a social event. Reviews on Booking.com were fairly good. Arrived to find our rooms double-booked and were offered no alternative, despite have received email confirmation of booking and having checked the previous day by phone. Ended up returning to Devon same night as other venues full, leaving our weekend ruined and two extremely exhausted children. Read reviews on Tripadvisor.co.uk to discover many other guests put in the same situation as us, and those that have managed to stay at same B&B have posted terrible reviews.
I book a lot of hotels, probably about 100 nights per year for work and leisure. I have come to the conclusion that booking.com is by far inferior to the other hotel comparison sites. The main reason is that it doesn't advertise the true cost until the very last stage and only in the small print. I have just stayed at a hotel which initially looked good value, but there was then 15% added for vat, 4% for city tax, I had to pay for all electricity I used and wifi was also extra. I definitely could have got a better price if I had gone to another hotel which showed the true price in the original advert.
I have booked over 20 hotels through booking.com and very very rarely have I paid at the property, the 'total price' listed on my booking.com reservation. This past weekend between 2 hotels, I paid an additional $60.00 for one night stay at each property. As well, the 'money' in my 'wallet' seems to disappear without any kind of explanation where it was 'spent'. Not a great rewards program at all. I will be booking direct from now on as I see no benefit whatsoever with booking.com. I will be removing all credit card/personal information from my account.
I found a fraudulent hotel/company and wanted to report it. I searched for hours just to report this fraud. There was no direct "customer service" nor was there a "contact us" button like in Trip Advisor (I reported the same hotel there too, since they are also promoting it). If you click on "customer service", it directed me back where I was. It's like a vicious circle. When I finally got where I should be, I could not simply click on "send" because I am required to log into my google account to be able to send the report. They should provide an email address to make scam/fraud reporting easier.
I strongly discourage using this site. I have just had a very unpleasant experience - I booked accommodation for 3 people through the site but on arrival found that there was only room for 2. I subsequently learned that this is a common occurrence with this site - to lure you in with misleading availability. We were offered alternative accommodation at no extra charge but 2 days later charged an extra $110! Booking.com has washed its hands of the incident... Pathetic.
After reserving a hotel room with Booking.com I booked my flight via Expedia and was offered the same room for approximately 10% less. Numerous mails to the customer dissatisfaction team at Booking.com confirmed that there is no interest to handle complaints in a proper manner and the "best price guarantee" is worthless.
My advice, do not simply assume that this comparison site will result in you securing the most favourable hotel rates. Shop around and do your own comparison.
The studio in Milan was horrible, poor air conditioning with the hot weather, caused me to leave the rental and book another hotel through booking.com however, after complaining to the property manager, who did not do anything I complained to Booking.com yet Booking.com refused to give any refund. Booking.com only care about your money once they get your money even if you are dissatisfied with your stay, they will never refund a penny. Horrible site to book rental.
Booking.com will not guarantee your satisfaction. Never do any booking through Booking.com you will lose your money.
Tip for consumers:
Booking.com does not guarantee their customer satisfaction. All they care about is to get your money.

I booked an 8-day stay for a large apartment in Paris, for over $6000. They charged me the rent TWICE, claiming that my card was invalid. Then, they threatened to cancel at the last moment if I didn't pay a 500 euro deposit. I paid that three times--again, "invalid card." But after I arrived they cancelled the reservation, I succeeded in getting the $12,000 back, but not the $1500. The basic problem seems to be that this site is happy to deal with fraudsters who claim to be property owners.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site.

None. I was the victim of fraud.
I have been using this company for 2 - 3 years and have only had a problem of being sent to a double booked hotel once ( and even then we were taken by the owner to another hotel). I like it because you can read the reviews of people who have stayed in the hotel recently and check the rating from 1 - 10. I try for something around 7.5 plus. When you sign on with them you get cheaper deals as well.
Tip for consumers:
Read the reviews of others before you book.
Has anyone been mislead with the cost of the booking from booking.com? Agreed in UK £'s only to be sent an email confirmation in dirham and been over charged by £700. No one will refund, customer services have been extremely rude and unhelpful. Any advice?
I am about to take this to every social media site and ask to check all their foreign bookings and see if they had been over charged like me as I have a feeling I am not the only one who has been mislead, surely this has happened before... its very fraudulent and I hope they get caught out.
Selected a room in Myrtle Beach. Icon showed "Book for $2603". We got billed $3373. 95. Contacted them the same day where they blamed the hotel and the hotel stated the rate difference was 100% booking.com. I'll never use their site again. We even had a photo of the page showing the rate. They're response... "that's not enough proof".
I will never use Booking.com again. I was lied to several times. When I followed up on my concerns Booking.com told me to call the health department on the hotel I was staying at and only offered me false promises of someone calling me back within 24 hours to relocate me. They did not take an extremely situation seriously and failed to follow you. Please book through another site. I doubt they will be around operating this way. Save your self.
Tip for consumers:
Please use a different booking service.

a hotel room through their site that was in violation of many health codes. When alerted they said within 24 hours they would contact me on how to proceed. They did not and instead told me to report the hotel that they recommended.
Absolute he'll, worst experience I have ever had. Staff made huge mistakes with change of booking even when we rang them direct. I will never use them again and they should be taken of the booking sites. So stressful, they obviously don't care as there is a huge number of
Complaints Already!
Hello,
I am sorry to hear of your experience and would like to provide your feedback to the hotel. Please post your booking number or email it to customer.web@booking.com referenceing this post.

I reserved a hotel thru booking.com, then cancelled >2 days beforehand when plans changed. I was charged a 100% cancellation fee! I'm sure this is "legal" somewhere in their policy. Never, ever, use Booking.com.
They charged me 48 Euros though while reservating it showed only 28 Euros. They didn't try to resolve the issue and just ignored my screenshots claiming it didn't contain a date (their system doesn't allow to take screenshots with dates - I guess it's with intentions to do scams like those).
I used to use them every other day as I'm a world traveler.
No More. Don't work with scammers and cheaters.
I have used this site in the past with good results... however, I recently booked a room and received my confirmation number...(2 nights away with my wife, without the kids for the first time in 5 years!) Booking.com called the next morning to very bluntly state the hotel was double booked, that it was the hotels fault, nothing to do with them... and there was nothing they could do about it, regardless of my confirmation number! Now here's the hardest part... we can't get any accommodation where we want to go! I will avoid this website going forward and advise as many people as possible to do the same. It's boycott.com for booking.com from here on out, it's not acceptable to treat people like this. I can only hope they go from worst to bust.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid this website and encourage others to do the same......there's better, more professional sites available
Hi Declan,
My apologize for any inconvenience caused and for having troubles with your reservation. In the rare occasion of an overbooking situation an alternative property should be arranged for you. May I ask if you contacted our Customer Service Team? Can you please post your booking number so I can have a look into it? Regards, Chloe Booking.com

Hello Lesley,
I'm very sorry to hear about this. I would like to investigate what happened with your reservation. Could you please provide your Booking.com confirmation number so I can investigate the booking?
