Taxi failed to collect us at Athens Airport on 30th August 2023 and since that time have spent over six months of exchanging emails. During that time have been promised refund on over six occasions but without result. They now say it is the fault of the hotel who should refund. The hotel disagree of course. Unfortunately it is only now that I see that Booking.com, has an average of only ONE STAR. There is no facility here to award less than one star otherwise I would be giving zero as they deserve. Looks like I will be losing this refund but I wont be caught twice. I will never use this company again for any service they 'provide'. They do not address any complaints and continue to fob you off till such time as you lose patience and let them keep your money. I also note that, of course, they do not respond to reviews. I wonder why?

I have exchanged emails with Booking.com for over six months before resorting to do this review.

Avoid buying any flight *******@bookingcom at all costs. Especially their flexi ticket which they don't support and is a literal scam!
We tried to get a flight change for 5 days, eight calls, the flight times came and went, while they promised to call back in 3 hrs every time. Never a call came!
Left stranded overseas, our only option was to buy a completely new ticket direct from an airline company.
To top it off, their online complaints form is broken on both chrome and edge.

"I'm extremely disappointed with the experience I had with (booking.com) and their car rental service in Dubai. Despite paying for the service through their platform, they are refusing to provide an invoice, which is unacceptable. Initially, their customer care team promised an invoice, but now they're denying responsibility. It seems like a deliberate attempt to avoid paying taxes. I'm left with no choice but to raise my voice online to get their attention and resolve this issue. I urge (booking.com) to take responsibility and provide the necessary invoice for the service I paid for. I emailed in regards to booking.com overpricing hotel room that I booked in comparison to hotel price. I could not cancel as was less than 24 hours and the hotel had no manager on site. She said there room prices were cheaper than booking.com.

I tried contacting booking.com via app but it wouldn't let me send a message, I sent many emails but bots just kept responding asking me to send same information and when I rang I had to ring outside country number but was on hold for ages. Absolute shocking customer and I have booked all my stays through booking.com for years, even have Genius 2 but would be reluctant to book with them again!

My car rental for Bangkok, Thailand update. Booking.com instead of issued me refund or credit for booking that I didn't get. Booking.com sent me an email receipt showed the full amount that I paid as canceled fees. Never in my life heard of this...WTF! Do not use Booking.com if you ask me. Scammer!

I booked a car rental for my trip to Thailand and was surprised when told you are late to pick up a few hours ago. We argued with the front desk lady and she told us that the rental company did not receive the payment and told us to talk to the third party rental company, Booking.com. Upon checking my credit card company the rental already full charge and paid in full. I contacted Booking.com and the first person was very helpful so I think. After going back and forth, she told me that the best they can do is refund me three days but I have to rebook a new booking with them. I searched and tried to re-book and lost connection with the first person. I re-opened the contact with Booking.com the 2nd time and me with Arnold and he is equally helpful but after I booked the new booking and he told me to wait for confirmation which could take up to 24 to 48 hours. He said that he cannot wait any longer and told me to re-book with another vendor when I can get confirmation right away. I went back to do another searched and after two hours for searching I could not find any company that will confirm rental payment right away. I Opened a live chat trying to get assistance in securing rental car but another lady just gave me the run around. I told her that I am one unhappy customer and if I could give zero star for rating, I would. She has enough of my ranting and exited the live chat. What a joke of a company (app). Don't waste your time and money like me.

I read through the other reviews too late and I suppose mine isn't as bad though I did pay for 2 nights and didn't get refunded though clearly didn't stay at a woman's dorm.

I had a disappointing experience with Booking.com. Initially, I received a reward for a free airport taxi service due to my first booking. However, the service was abruptly removed without any prior notice, and when I contacted customer care, they claimed the offer had expired with no clear information about a 24-hour expiration period. Disappointingly, they refused to provide the promised free service.

Furthermore, I noticed an incorrect application of city tax for kids under 13, which goes against basic tax laws. It seems many customers may unknowingly be paying this additional city tax. For a reputed organization, such lapses in communication and adherence to legalities are concerning. I hope Booking.com addresses these issues more seriously in the future.

I rented a car via booking.com/cars. Even though I PAID THE FULL PRICE IN ADVANCE, when I arrived at the pick up point at the airport they told me I was too late and my car was not available. According to them, I was supposed to pick up the car at 11:30, but my flight arrived in the evening and the car was not available anymore. I had to pay more than double the agreed price again in order to get another car.
I find this totally unacceptable: when paying for a service in advance, that service should be unconditionally available to you. It was not a simple reservation, the full price was already paid.
Booking.com refuses to refund the additional amount I had to pay, and the customer support is terrible: communication is over email and every time a different person replies (so far about 10).

I greatly lament not reading the reviews before renting a car through Booking.com. When searching for a car at JFK, they offered a great price through Hertz, but when I attempted to book the site said the car/rate was not available as posted. I shut down the browser and tried again, this time with a different car. The booking went through. Then today I see they charged me TWICE - once for the 'unavailable' car and then again for the new booking. I called and they charged me $89 to cancel one of the bookings, this less than 24 hours after my first attempt. When I protested the double charge due to their website problem, they were not responsive and would not put me through to a supervisor. The absolute worst experience ever for an agency like this.

This 'company' will do anything it can to scam you out of every cent.

In addition to making it near impossible to withdraw funds from our hosting service, their 'clever' finance chart shows your GROSS profits, while also presenting a bar for the commission you owe them. This makes it seem like the profit bar is your NET profit, as there's another bar for your commission, so why the double representation?

Clearly, this company is geared more towards fooling it's client-base, and extracting as much value from the marketplace by way of being a parasitic middle-man.

I end up paying over $1000 for a hotel room in Las Vegas that was booked through booking.com needed to change my reservations and I could not change or cancel.

I booked through booking.com and 5 days later cancelled due to an unexpected situation. The hotel agreed to allow the cancellation without penalty. Booking.com refused to accept the cancellation since they claimed that the hotel never contacted them. The hotel service manager and hotel manager, who I spoke to over the phone both verified that they contacted booking.com and agreed to allow the cancellation. Despite repeated calls and emails to Booking.com, they continue to deny any communication with the hotel. Booking.com is currently holding hostage 700 dollars of my money and absolutely refuse any knowledge of a cancellation. I have a cancellation number issued by the hotel. Booking.com may not be a complete scam but they sure appear to be. I have contacted my credit card company and if that doesn't work I will contact my state attorney general. I feel victimized. I will never deal with again.

This company should not be in business! There main purpose is to screw people! I had a car rental through them and due to flight delays and flight detours due to lack of fuel I didn't arrive at Orlando as expected totally out of my control now they refuse to return my money, that's BS. I will never use them again and recommend that you don't use them either unless you have money to throw away.

Without my consent, Booking.com gave my credit card to a vendor, who charged me, without me even staying at the property. 10 phone calls later after hours and hours with the agents, booking.com keeps finding excuses not to return my money

If you thought VRBO or Airbnb were bad - BOOKING.COM takes the gold star of worst website for hosts. Couldn't be anymore user unfriendly if they tried. They clearly have developers developing the site to ensure hosts are lost in how they have things set up. Certainly not created by anyone who has end user experience as a priority. Get your 90-year old developer off the development team and get someone in that has some experience with current day websites and how to work with hosts and even travelers.
Email support terrible. Phone support terrible (if you can find a number). Website - hard to do anything as they systems don't actually work! Cryptic emails. And my worst fear is not getting paid by this company! Clearly not driven at all by any kind of up to date technology or even bothered about user experience from host or traveler stand point!

Just after booking a flight I asked for a refund ob about 900 USD for a flexible ticket. It has been two months now and every time I write to them they keeps saying that the payment has been authorised, that the "financial department" is aware of the delay and that they will contact me when they payment can be made. Today they tell me that it's not their fault but Gotogate 's fault. Gotogate? The ones that most users dislike? The 1 out of 5 star company? So Booking.com cannot do anything about it? I wish I would have known. Never again!

Trust me, if I could, I would leave less than a one-star review. Booking.com is a scam. I booked a reservation for a birthday trip to Orlando at the beginning of February. The reservation was for 2 days at a hotel near Universal, and ultimately, I only stayed one night due to a bed bug infestation that resulted in full-body bites all over my and my husband's body. It is over a month later, and I have been unable to receive a refund from Booking.com because they repeatedly hang up every time I call. They obviously flagged my information because I have also tried calling from different numbers and still am hung up on. I even reached out to the hotel and spoke to their manager and received an invoice with a voided amount so I may be refunded. Booking.com refuses to refund me, so they are essentially stealing money that does not belong to them. As I mentioned earlier, it has been over a month since my stay at the hotel. I have not been refunded, and I am still recovering from the injuries sustained during my stay (I have had to seek medical attention). I will be seeking legal action because clearly, this company is a scam and does care about its customers, and I deserve to be compensated for the physical and emotional distress I have experienced. Please do not book with them.

Don't EVER! Book with booking.com!
I tried to book a flight
I book the flight. It charges my credit card. Then the app says that package is no longer available. The new price will be a couple hundred bucks more. I'm annoyed, but whatever. I have to go. I book that one. It charged my card for the FULL amount of the new booking. They issue a refund for the first booking, but it takes 3-5 business days.
I call customer support. Very nice person, but couldn't help me in the least. I ask for a manager or someone who could help. She tells me that she can put me on a waitlist to speak to a supervisor. The estimated wait time is 72hrs.
Incredible.
NEVER EVER AGAIN YOU SHADY MF's

I wish there was an option for zero
Worst customer service ever. It took over 4 months to get a 700 Euros refund. Had to call at least 15 times and each call got told different response. Would not even consider any compensation for the delay and the aggravation caused due to the delays and the calls I had to make. Each call had a difference promise from their customer service team. They spend half and hour apologising reading the company script but do nothing about solving your issues. I will never ever ever ever use them again. Having seen the ratings they have I am not surprised why they have such low ratings. I am however totally shocked as to how they manage to stay in business with such bad customer service and reviews.

My experience with Booking.com regarding my stay at Treebo Trend TMS Residency in Delhi was extremely disappointing. Despite clear violations of booking terms by the hotel, Booking.com failed to provide any assistance or response when contacted.
