Excellent, a little exaggerated in the descriptions, particularly with the demand for the reservation at the moment. Checkout was simple because the location was, for once, even better than expected and the payment had already been transferred.

Over years I rented 2 hotels and 1 car in different countries. All providers charged unannounced extra fees. Last time, for the car rental Booking.com told me to not worry, they understood the issue and the car rental shouldn't have charged these fees, to complete my rental has planned and to fill out a claim when back home. I did it and not only they rejected my claim while I provided the same information I provided before but when I have tried to escalate it, they hanged off on me every attempt. We are talking here $429 extra for a $890 car rental. For hotel I was charged 13% extra at the front desk because it was a Booking.com reservation. Both hotel in Canada and in Costa Rica were below standard one with cockroach and limited bedding, no soap, no towels, etc, the other one in Canada with angry owners and post-it literally everywhere in the bedroom to dictate what to do or not. I'll never ever use Booking.com again. I really enjoyed using other apps such as Expedia, TripAdvisor and Viator and would recommend using these ones instead.

Dismal customer service. Don't use them! I booked and paid for reserved seats way in advance. They placed my six year old son on all alone away from us on the flight. When I called the customer service they did not help, told me to solve it with the airline, pay for seat reservation again with the airline and try to claim it back. When I asked to speak to a manager they refused to put me through. They don't care about customers whatsoever.
Booked a hotel in Phuket via booking.com. Key in wrong name and realised immediately. Email booking.com right away. Received 4 generic msg from 4 diff officers with no solutions given. Decided to email hotel directly and received the reply within days saying Name changed allowed without charges. Forward the email to booking.com then again have no response from them. Decided to call hotline UK number. Spoken with one staff and he promised to check with the team leader and will email back. Received the email within hour with the same headline and generic msg and add on few line. No approval from team leader! Wtf
Hotel give green light to change name but booking.com say no. And no solution given.

I booked a scam on booking.com and fought so hard for my refund. I still haven't received the refund for the scam, but only for the additional costs that came from booking a new accommodation. Worst customer service on the planet and they're making billions.

Once I had secured these flights I booked Garma ($6000) and return Flights Melbourne to Cairns. Later that day I went to print the paperwork for all bookings but after 6 hours of emailing and calling I was told I had no flight booking and knew nothing about it. They still have my $2700. Apparently despite knowing nothing about my booking (booking number and PIN number aside) they felt justified in taking my money. It will 10 days for them to return the money for the booking they know nothing about and we have no internal flights to get to the Garma festival so will probably forfeit those tickets as well. They have no customer service. I just kept getting the same email asking for confirmation and PIN number and then a reply saying there is no such booking. Thanks for wasting my day and my money, booking.com

My recent encounter with Booking.com was nothing short of a nightmare. I had diligently booked round-trip tickets from Vancouver to Toronto and back through their platform. The trouble began on the second leg of my journey when I arrived at the airport only to discover that my flight had been rescheduled without any prior notification, despite my ticket clearly stating an on-time departure.
To make matters worse, the airline staff at the airport shockingly denied me boarding, leaving me stranded with no clear guidance. In my moment of desperation, I attempted to contact Booking.com for assistance, but instead of providing support, they conveniently shifted the blame onto the airline. This complete lack of support and communication from Booking.com only compounded my frustration and disappointment as I missed my flight.
Booked a hotel for a week for 500$. They have an option online to have your check in date as unsure in case you are unable to make it your first night due to travel. I arrived 2 days after my check in date and was informed my reservation was canceled and that I would not be receiving a refund. I've emailed and called their customer service and get no emails back. Total scam of a website never use them.
If I could have a negative star, I would. Their customer service is horrendous. Will not fix a mistake they made on their hotel description, which cost me money! Refuse to refund or do anything. No supervisor available after 20 minute hold! Liars and scammers.
Booking.com promised me compensation for a fraudulent reservation. After some time, they deleted the conversation and reversed the decision to compensate. Fraudulent conduct. If you have a message from booking com that is important, save it outside their system.
I messed up on our return flight. They refused to help us. Told me someone would call back in 3 hours. Never received a call. Had no empathy about our situation and that we was traveling with small children. Will NEVER use this site again for anything.

Dirty sheets, mould, cockroach poo in cupboards, 2 inch dust under bed, bed broken and could feel springs, tiny room, no sound barrier was given ear buds! Hotel didn't care when left early was rude called booking.com to ask for help getting money back they hide behind hotel having no refund policy. Their site was misleading strongly recommended you never trust or use booking.com

Contacting booking.com was beyond frustrated after my connection flight was cancelled by the airlines. Even with supporting documents booking would not listen to me in any way they would be it help me reschedule. They were rude and un helpful. One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. Don't use this company if you want to save a headache.

Used these for a night stay in York I really needed hotel with a car park so put this in my filter search choose Hampton by Hilton York. £256 for one night. Disappointing is an under statement no car park as advertised had it been a disabled person they would have struggled with the trek. This hotel is close to travel lodge for facilities but double the price on looking on line the rooms were £120 a night that's the true value of the room at best.
Confirmation number 2903. 055. 552 - had to leave my POOR accommodation at Earls Court London on 01/08. Put in an immediate cancellation request and to waiver the fee- the property was filthy, window didn't open (it was 28 degrees with no other source of air), sticky substances on the walls, excrement in the bottom of the toilet, the shower broke off in my hand - all of which with my 9 YO son. I spoke to reception; she offered zero reconciliation and she told me to speak to Booking.com as they regulate the payment--- so I did. I've had to chase them today for the operative state that I have a 20% good will refund - 20% of the total booking which the hotel has been paid! Absolutely disgraceful and I'll never ever again use this platform! The worst!
I have used Booking.com for years - BECAUSE IT'S EASY. Problem is they seem to be playing both sides against the middle for max profit. You cannot really rely on reviews, as most, if not all, appear to be "rigged" or written by someone who didn't stay at the same place you did! Owners are as greedy as Booking.com! I will never pay "in advance again" thinking review ratings and photographs are even close to being accurate reality - HA, they are not! I wonder how or IF they screen owners who list rentals. Some of them are downright scary, putting people in uncomfortable compromising situations.

Customer services are absolutely useless, using the chat service you get a different agent for each reply and no consistency. Make a booking, get given a price then have 130 dollars added on after confirmation. Avoid at all costs

I am writing this review after several very negative experiences with this platform, where customer care agents are trained to find ways to avoid responsibility and basically leave the customers alone in the dark when things go south due to no fault of their own.

Booked two rooms at a basic hotel that didn't take reservations over the phone. Made to use online booking. Got to hotel and it was literally scariest place I've ever been. Was told by people in parking lot that it was under investigation for drug dealing. The hotel had also just had a recent shooting. We left without receiving a refund. Called booking.com customer service lady was nice but put me on hold to call the property manager. I waited on hold forever then the phone just disconnected. The hotel was not a safe place to be at let alone sleep there. But the property had already been paid so they didn't care we left. Still waiting on my refund. Would not recommend using this online booking agency that offers reservations for such a shady place.

Com refused point blank to refund us, except for the insurance element of the hire. Awful customer service. Will never ever use this parasitic company again. Beware avoid at all costs.
