Excellent, a little exaggerated in the descriptions, particularly with the demand for the reservation at the moment. Checkout was simple because the location was, for once, even better than expected and the payment had already been transferred.
Booked a car in Nevsehir Turkey, cancelled they sent me an email saying refund will be paid in 7 working days now 21 working days Contacted them 3 times can't help wrong dept we don't talk to each other we just take your money and hold it until you lose interest. Recommend don't use them worse than Banks
I have booked multiple properties recently which have either not been up to standard or booking.com has confirmed on the properties behalf that amenities are available when they haven't been. There is no way to get your money back or receive any quality assistance with these bookings. You're best to book directly and cut booking.com out completely.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t EVER use this site. They are crooks

This has to be the single worst customer service for any company I've experienced in my life. Called at least ten times with people that. Once I communicate with someone they promised to call or email be back and never did. What they did was charge my cc right away instead of the date they had stated they would. I have never been treat so bad when spending 7000. 00 dollars. Will be my last experience with them ever!
Watch out! Booking.com does NOT have your back with their zero cancellation fees. They will give you the run around just to make their commission. This is a scam and a waist of money! I have been dealing with booking.com for almost a month now trying to receive my refund, and they want to blame it on the hotel. What a JOKE, and total run-around scam of a website. I also tried calling and how convenient, their number was busy. If I could save someone else from getting ripped off please take this into consideration. Book only on the actual hotel site.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT use booking.com

I did not end up staying, no refund was made.
Storm Eunice hit and all trains cancelled which consequently led to us not making it to the hotel. They refuse to give us credit to even just stay another day or give refund. With prices soaring it's disappointing that a massive corporation refuse to help a customer out. When I used to book as a business and they were very flexible because they only think about money. Don't get me wrong if everything is going smoothly, they are fine. Very disappointed
It's been now 4 months since I had made a booking and the hotel cancelled on me last minute. I've called them so many times and their email address never works, still no refund after so many promises and email claiming that it was done. At this point im just glad I've deleted my account, because I've wasted so much energy, time and money on calling them over and over to get this right. Stay away from them.
My only regret is that I did not come to check the reviews here before this experience, now I know to stick to airbnb

So I'm watching MSNBC on a Wednesday night when Bookings.com comes on with an advertisement making their last statement of "and we have free cancellations too". The owner of this company operates out of the Netherlands so don't believe what you hear cause it's fake news. If you gotta have a third party make reservations for you please find another one!
Tip for consumers:
Bookings.com won't give refunds even if your flight is delayed and you have to cancel your motel/ hotel reservations.

Really none. They are trying to keep my money for motel & hotel reservations that one, I wasn't going to use and two, the person who I talked with told me my reservation was cancelled and they were going to refund my money, and send me a confirmation email. Neither was done.
Asked a refund for a cancellation flight. Got the mail, called several times the customer service. Was assured being refund in two weeks. We are at almost 7 months. Now they don't reply anymore. And they have the courage to advertise trough all mass media?
Tip for consumers:
The flight was canceled on schedule due to force majeure 100% provable with full refund. The helpdesk told me the airline had sent the funds for the refund. They told me the delay in refunding was due to the ongoing crisis. They publicly wrote that my insistence slows down the refund. 7 months of waiting and I'm persistent?

My daughter and 2 of her friends booked a trip to Italy through booking.com. Bottom line they booked a hotel in London through booking. Com because of major flight problems, $450 was taken from my daughter's checking account and when they realized she was 19 they cancelled her hotel, kept the $450 and refused to refund it and then tried to charge her a no show fee for an additional $300?! Those steps were done by the corrupt hotel who I strongly feel was taking advantage of the 3 young girls! Booking.com offered absolutely NO SOLUTION AT ALL! It's disgusting to basically steal from someone with no recourse! Myself and my wife booked an anniversary trip for September through booking. Com which we will now cancel! We are also going to go through legal channels now! Just unforgivable disgusting!
I reserved a hotel last October in Ostend for Easter 2022, They offer free cancellation and no pre-payment necessary. My wife used her debit card to reserve the hotel as I usually pay on arrival with my Clarity card which is fee free. My wife has just got her statement which shows a bank charge of £11.12 for an overseas transaction and the hotel inform me that booking.com took the money the day after we made the booking as I had not selected the pay at hotel option. Very sneaky and underhand. If you make a booking with no pre payment necessary you do not expect to be hoodwinked in thinking it was at the hotel and have to make another selection. BUYER BEWARE.
These people will steal from you flat out! Tell you they took care of it and that's a lie.

Didn't use it at all. They just flat out stole my money and gave me a FAKE confirmation number. Then the illegal working the motel says it's not theirs. Booking.com is a scam. Plain and simple. Please do not get taken by these horrible liars.
Long time booking user. I checked 2 days early from the hotel agreed to refund just waiting for booking to call them. I went through calls. Text. Email. I can't help you with that and most emails just a copies: sorry we apologize just sweet words. Even i have another booking coming up on august ( this one no refundable. Its ok with me) its had to get answers. Emails already prepared the first 2 lines. I lost money for 2 nights
I travel a lot and use various booking sites. During the last two bookings of mine on Booking.com, beautiful pictures were posted of the rooms that I booked, but when I arrived were filthy. During a pandemic, this site should be more in-tune with the facilities that they promote and should look into and not promote dirty facilities with poor reviews. During one booking, I was charged a cleaning fee for a room I never stayed in, and was not entitled to any reimbursement because they had notified me of my cancellation status TOO LATE. This is unacceptable customer service and business practice, particularly during a pandemic. Use the other travel sites.
Booked the Fame Hotel in Blackpool south shore. When I booked we asked for breakfast free parking and Wi-Fi. Well got there the host Evan didn't introduce himself explained about keys, he then rushed off, when requested time for breakfast, he said had we booked said yes! Went into this room where his wife Tina appeared no introduction and was quite scruffy said we only booked room only, explained we'd booked breakfast. She stated they don't do midweek meals. But if we required breakfast it'd be £8 per person. We declined. On entering our room it smelt badly, hence we went out and bought antibacterial spray. Dent in wall, shower was crap. On positive note view was amazing Wi-Fi was okay but slow but was manageable. Room in itself was okay. We arrived on the Monday Tina messaged us by email on Wednesday regarding price of breakfast including child we had no children. The host you never saw, when you did they just ignored you. Would we recommend No would we stay again definitely Not!
I'll keep it short and simple.
We rocked up to a booking.com vendor. They said a place has been double booked. They offered us an AirBnb that their friends were running. They drove us there. We waited about 20 minutes for the owner of the AirBnB to arrive. They stopped their car, took one look at us and left.
5 minutes later, the vendor with us receives a call that her friend doesn't want to give us the place because of the way we look.
If you don't want to be held accountable for the racism of the friends of your vendors, maybe look at not having an issue such as double bookings happen so frequently in an age where technological capability is as abundant as oxygen?
In all seriousness, neither of us are ever using your service again, and will tell every person we meet about this story. Absolute trash.
I had used booking.com a few times in the past for hotels and even needed to cancel or change reservations and had no problems. But I booked a flight the other day, then realized it was not going to work, so took advantage of the very clear promise that I could cancel in 24 hours. I called, was transferred, was put on hold--forever until phone battery died. Tried again today. Was told a whole lot of gibberish (BS) and then that my request would be sent to the "Support Team." That's all. I was promised a call back or response. Nothing at all. If I have to, I will take this to small claims court and I won't let up. Advertising 24 cancellation is fraudulent, if they don't honor it. But then when I see today that the company doing the booking is in Miami, of course. Florida is filled with cheats. I would never, every under any circumstances book with them again. Go straight to the airline or hotel or forget it. I will be cancelling a hotel I booked.
Tip for consumers:
Book straight with the airline. Never ever use booking.com. Even with hotels, watch very, very carefully for cancellation--do it only if it can be done online.

This really upset me, not only not getting my refund, but also the fact of calling more than 4 times but giving big different solutions. As a customer I would expect to receive a fair and firm answer from a reputed company like booking.com.

I booked a hotel through these people and then cancelled it the following day when i realized what a $#*!ty place it was.
I should have been given a refund right then and there, but i have been waiting over 75 days now and all i get is the same song and dance about how they are working on it.
This is a complete scam company who will do nothing to help you should your booking not turn out as they promised.
Do not use them...use someone more credible
Here is what they don't tell you--you book through them, and the hotel sees you as an inferior guest. Our hotel, Holiday Inn Express in Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, had multiple issues--TV not working, a refrigerator without visible controls that froze and exploded food and canned soda. A desk clerk promised us a discount for our trouble, but upon checkout, we found out that since we booked through a third-party site, and they already had our money, we were SOL. The hotel did not respond to a nicely worded and thorough email, so what might have been a four or five-star review, had they addressed the issues or at least answered us, became one star. Same to Booking.com. There appears to be NO WAY to warn other guests about this practice. Basically you are buying a pig in a poke, to use an old-fashioned expression that means you pay up front and HOPE you get your money's worth.
After reserving 2 hotels rooms via Booking.com and driving 45 mins to the hotel just to find out that Booking.com NEVER even booked my hotel stay, I ended up paying over $300 more for my rooms because at that point I had to book directly with the hotel! Booking.com still sent me emails as tho they took care of me. They wasted my time and money. I could have used a different company! I've told everyone I know not to use this company. They are unreliable!

I had to work with the actual hotel (Fairfield Inn Troy) myself because Booking.com gave me a bogus confirmation number.
Never had problems with booking, booked about 20 times, currently having Genius second level and prices often lower than book directly with hotel (especially with 10% return on my credit card). When borders were unexpectedly closed in Russia, I had a hotel on Maldives booked in 2 days! The hotel didn't want to return the money or move the dates, they just told us that from their end borders are open (though flights from Russia are cancelled). I called booking support and they helped to persuade the hotel to move the dates without additional fee. So I consider service as good enough.
My booking was forwarded to lastminute.com because I checked the option " book flight and hotel" Despite my client status at Booking.com I cannot reach them to cancel this while I got a bad feeling immediately.
It became truth: lastminute.com starts to change the flight schedule and simply promise you that they would make a new proposal - no way, they postpone and delay until they say " it is too late" I have checked and the flights we initially have were still available. Finally we need 8 hours more (double) and an extra flight.
Booking was not reachable even not for sharing this review so I need to do it by public channels.
I wish everybody a carefree and safe and above all a pleasant journey

We booked a room when we arrived the hotel was beyond unsafe and gross people shooting up in the stars ways the cops came several times to different rooms...our sink was leaking all over the floor amd was clogged. We checked out and when asked for a refund for the the remaining days they said we had to go to booking.com well we have been fighting with booking.com for day countless hrs and calls to get no where. Worst customer service will never use them again
They withdrew my money but I never got a confirmation email or Booking Number. Then one of my flights was cancel by the airline company. It is impossible to contact "booking.com". All their phone numbers do not work! They will NOT help you without a Booking Number! Very frustrating. I had to purchase another ticket, but not through booking.com.

I tried booking a family trip through Booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel we were given the wrong room (we need a suite to accommodate our 5 year old twins) and promptly checked out. I was told by Booking.com I would receive a full refund in 7-12 days because they had the wrong room code (Hilton said this had happened 3 times before). So we took our kids and luggage across town and booked at another Hilton (I was loyal to the Hilton brand name). Now neither party will help me get the refund I was promised on the phone before we left. I've spent hours on the phone with Booking.com and all they've offered is $25 Euros (the trip was $533). We will never use this service again, or Hilton for that matter.
These people are thieves. I was refunded for 1 night at a hotel where there was an issue and was credited 280$ from the hotel but booking only sent me 259$ stating that the rest in in my "booking wallet" and when I went to check it said I had 0$ in my wallet. When I said this over and over the company just repeated their speech again like robots and hung up on me. I will be pursuing this with my lawyer!
