I recently had an extraordinary experience with Booking.com's Transport Department, all thanks to a wonderful individual named Isah. Facing unexpected delays with my flight, I found myself in a bit of a predicament regarding my taxi booking. It was during this stressful time that Isah stepped in, not just as a representative, but as a beacon of support and understanding. From the moment I reached out, Isah was there to calm my nerves, reassuring me that I was in safe hands. He went above and beyond to accommodate my situation, ensuring that my taxi booking was rescheduled seamlessly amidst the chaos of travel hiccups. His empathy, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to helping me navigate through these difficulties were nothing short of remarkable. Isah's exceptional service and the assurance that "he will do whatever he can to help" truly set a new standard for customer care. It's rare to encounter someone so committed to the well-being and satisfaction of customers. This experience not only alleviated my stress but also reinforced my trust in Booking.com's services. To Isah and the entire Transport Department at Booking.com: thank you for turning a potentially disruptive travel setback into a testament to outstanding customer service. Your efforts are sincerely appreciated, and I look forward to relying on your services in my future travels. Isah, you are a true asset to your team, and your dedication deserves the highest praise.
Booked a car in Nevsehir Turkey, cancelled they sent me an email saying refund will be paid in 7 working days now 21 working days Contacted them 3 times can't help wrong dept we don't talk to each other we just take your money and hold it until you lose interest. Recommend don't use them worse than Banks
Booked a room at the Polynesian in Myrtle Beach. When we arrived at the Polynesian it was the filthiest place I have ever encountered! The room was uninhabitable! Had not been even vacuumed... food or some unknown substances stuck on floors... beds were filthy... bathroom was disgusting... lobby was filthy! We were refused a refund! Booking.com should remove this business from their list! Will never use booking.com again if these are the types of places you get when booking through them!
I used to be an avid booking.com user but will absolutely no longer use them. They don't communicate all fees on the hotel's main booking page until after you book the non-refundable booking. Then the final fees show. The last time I booked, there was a $150 hidden pet fee that was communicated only after the booking was confirmed. No ability to cancel. It doubled my entire booking cost. Book through direct hotel sites instead. Absolute garbage business.
As a small hotelier we are constantly having problems with booking.com The Cancellation policies are displayed in a misleading fashion and we receive more time wasters than genuine guests. The commissions are constantly rising. Companies like this will end up driving customers costs up as the hotel owners cannot continue absorbing the commissions - 15% of our income lost just for facilitating a reservation when we have the same facility on our own website. Book direct people and actually deal with the hotel - leave the middle man out! They are pocketing your possible discount!
I spent weeks searching for the perfect place for our group of 20 to spend New Year's Eve. After finally finding a place, getting every person to agree to it, and booking it I felt immensely relieved. One day later I received an email that an error was made and the price would be $800 more than I had already charged to my card. This put the price outside of my budget forcing us to cancel and begin the search all over again. Regardless of if the error was made by the property owner, Booking.com should work to make things right with the customer, in this case covering the difference in cost. If I booked a room on any other website (like Orbitz, Priceline, Expedia, Hotels.com) for $100 and the hotel meant to charge me $120, Orbitz would NEVER try to come back to me for an additional $20. These other websites are real companies who care about maintaining their customers, clearly Booking.com is not. I will never use this website again and I will make sure my 20 guests never do either.
Today I had it confirmed that Booking.com fixes reviews. That is to say, if you have a bad experience with an accommodation and make a complaint, booking.com can chose to bar you from leaving a review for the property. They simply do this by not sending out the review link. It seems that they just want the better reviews on their website, to encourage potential customers to book! Previously, all the places we'd stayed at had been great, so I had left very positive feedback. This was our first disaster stay... and I am not allowed to leave any feedback. What a con!
Booked a hotel in Florida. Booking. Com texted my wife and said the hotel was having electrical problems. We would have to cancel or stay at a motel 10 miles away. Cancel for a full refund. Later that day my credit card was refunded $35.00 and was charged a $815.00 cancellation fee. I'm still trying to recover my money, and customer help desk, just hangs up on me. This is a complete scam. Do not believe the commercials. Instead of Booking. Yeah, they should have said, Booking. SCAM

I booked a hotel in New York City up front for what I thought was a good price. I double checked for extra costs before submitting my credit card for the full price of my stay. Once submitted my booking confirmation stated that I will still have to pay an extra $560 in taxes and fees upon arrival. I immediately contacted the site and they refused to refund me my money (although my trip is still 5 months away.) Terrible customer service. I do not recommend using this site for your travelling needs.
Took my money and gave me a confirmation, only later to realize that the property had no electricity and were unable to entertain us. Three days they kept promising that they would compensate us and relocate elsewhere. To my surprise the third day when I was expecting an option from them, I got an email from them saying that the booking has been cancelled and they have initiated the refund. Two days left for the scheduled stay and all hotels and resorts are full now. They screwed the whole holiday. I recommend everyone that they shouldn't take their confirmations as 100 percent, instead call the property directly to avoid last minutes surprises
I have been working with them for the last 9 years. The customer support is getting worse every year. My messages are being ignored even though I write once or twice a year when I have a serious problem. The last two questions were not answered at all. All I get are template emails from bots. "We have forwarded your message to a specialist on this topic. They generally respond within 3 days." Well, they don't.
Best Western Cape Suites is situated right next to the Cape Tech University. Students share rooms, party, drink, do drugs, fight, throw up, shout all hours of the day/night. The poor security gets abused whenever they say anything. Police gets called in, Security companies only to sort out a situation for a couple of hours but then it continues again. I never felt safe and being a sophisticated young lady I would not advise you to stay unless you are here to be a student and party! For the same price, check out other spots that do NOT allow students to share rooms. Very disappointed and fear for the future of this establishment, unless they get rid of all the students!
Through Southwest Vacations' partnership with Booking.com, I booked The Notary Hotel, Philadelphia for one night. The reservation was for one night, 2 Queens. When we checked in and got to the room, we found 2 Doubles. This was for a girls' weekend and we were to share the beds. We specifically booked 2 Queens for comfort, yet got Doubles. When I called to ask to switch rooms (and get what we paid for) the front desk said they could not accommodate the request. Bummer. Not sure who is at fault here, but it's not the consumer. A reservation should yield the correct reserved and PRE-PAID room!
While traveling, I learned that my brother had a plumbing emergency at his house (where I planned to stay). Went online to find an alternative. Booking.com did not reveal that there was a cancellation charge (in fact, the entire one-night stay) until AFTER I had made the hotel reservation. Even then, the information was halfway down the page, buried within a list of other things. While this may be legal, it's sleazy. I'm a frequent traveler, but I won't be using Booking.com again!

I have been using booking.com for over 8 years now and I've observed that what you see is what you get. I most often got better deals through booking.com than when I go directly to the hotel/apartment website. I also find the trail of customers' review on booking.com very helpful as it at least provide some guidance on which properties or locations to avoid when searching for decent hotels/apartment. The search and filter engines are also great for quickly narrowing down your search.
I booked a hotel room from what I thought was the hotels website. But I was scammed. Hidden fees, no refund policy and absolutely terrible customer service. I will be so much more careful next time. The hotel told me to always call them and never book online because of the scam. When I called my credit card to see if they could help me, the first thing they asked was if I used booking.com. They said they get so many calls about them and there is nothing they could do. In a nutshell I paid 300 dollars more for a room than I should have. What a terrible sleazy company. They should be ashamed of themselves. They are disgusting.
Was visiting my daughter in Ayr Australia so looked on booking.com which only showed me 4 motels so I thought I'd look at b&b, but at this point it redirected me to Ayr Scotland. Whether it was I was on a small phone I did not notice or see anything to indicate this, so I booked immediately realised what had happened and cancelled. The ad said pay at hotel but the hotel (beechwood guest house ayr scotland) took the money. Booking. Com said nothing to do with them but always evaded directly answering the point of how I came from Australia to Scotland, tried 4 times and never got anything but contact hotel, the hotel whom I contacted a couple of times just completely blanked me no response what so ever. As with many large companies now they feel so large you get the 'what's one person syndrome' what's it matter to us if one customer goes elsewhere!
Avoid booking.com by all means. I missed my flight due to a taxi driver's strike in Milan. I ended up canceling my trip to Berlin, therefore, the week-long hotel reservation with Lime Home. Most hotel charges one night as a cancellation fee but refunds the rest of the nights. Lime home refused to communicate with me after I sent the cancellation notice. They pretended the reservation was still valid. How do I know they are not double charging for the room? Booking.com rejected my review, which reflects the fact. Before this happened, I had made several reservations thru booking.com on the same trip. So... avoid booking by all means. They won't be the advocate for you even though you spend a lot of money there.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid booking.com as you don't know if you will be running into any hallssels. But I am sure, when you are, they are not your advocate.

I booked a hotel with a nicer cancellation policy.
Rented a place under the impression that was renting a decent Hotel room, based on false advertisement allowed by Booking.com.
Cancelled the reservation the moment I arrived at the address provided and there wasn't any sign indicating that was the right place nor anybody greeting me and my wife. Felt very unsafe in the area.
Tried to get at least a partial refund and booking.com is useless.
TERRIBLE customer service.
Will avoid use them again.
Hello I used booking.com and it was good site until some point. Now it is a collection of garbage hotels with great looking rooms but when you arrive to hotel rooms are like a basement. Never will use that site!
Found the same room, same dates for $120 cheaper. Sent proof. They would not adjust the price. Asked to speak to a manager, said they're busy. They suck! Will NEVER use them ever again. We've had great service with Hotels.com.
I had a pleasant experience with book. I will continue to use it, but be AWARE they have terrible customer service that purposely disconnects from you. If you use the site make sure you review your bookings before confirming, because you're on you're own.
I have been using booking.com for over a year now. They almost always have given me the best deal on accommodations. I particularly like the option of cancelling up until the day before in case something unforseen changes my plans.
Booked through booking because of a free taxi offer. It's been chaos on all airports everywhere. Taxi driver left after 30 minutes while booking promises 45 minutes after landing + 15 minutes. Received a phone call from booking where they told me too bad you missed your slot, not our fault. The least they can do is TO NOT offer taxi offers these times of airport chaos. First and last time booking.com
Book my trip in -March thinking they booked an Ocean Front at fancy hotel. Got there we had no ocean, no sun no balcony. We paid over 250 per night for this carp that we could not cancel
I will never use booking.com, I would have done better if I did it myself.
On my last trip I booked a hotel through booking.com. When I received the confirmation, I noticed an issue and tried calling customer service - to no avail, after being on hold for 20+ minutes, I gave up. Instead I emailed them, along with a screenshot, to explain/prove the issue. 10 DAYS LATER, they finally replied, telling me, there was nothing they could do, I should have contacted them earlier! Lost money and time, dealing with an extremely condescending customer service. Never again...
We are staying at St Nicolas Elegant Residence in Paphos. On arrival, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Any requests are dealt with immediately. We stay in a lovely apartment spacious and clean with all the necessary equipment, big fridge microwave, oven, kettle etc. Relaxing view of the see and lovely pool from the big spacious balcony. Huge complex with great facilities, tennis courts, play park for children, sauna, indoor pool and gym. I will definitely return to St Nicholas Residence
Booking.com provides online bookings of hotels, resorts, hostels, and other travel accommodations around the world. The site attempts to separate itself from rival reservation sites by offering deals and its own hotel reviews. Booking.com is a subsidiary of Priceline.com, a publicly traded company (Nasdaq: PCLN).
Hello,
I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. Situations with cancellations will always depend on what type of policy you select. Booking.com will list the various policies that are provided by the hotels. There are policies such as Free Cancellations reservations, Special Conditions reservations and Non-Refundable reservations. I would like to investigate this matter further, and would appreciate if you would share your booking number. Please reply to this comment, or send an e-mail to customer.web@booking.com referencing this review.
