They disguise the site URL to look like the direct hotel website in Google search. It wasn't until I saw the $150+ "tax and recovery fee" on a $214 reservation that I realized something was off. By then I'd already booked. I canceled the reservation, but the site isn't clear on whether or not they refund the exorbitant fees. For comparison, booking directly on Marriott had $34 in government taxes and fees. Bookonline.com is crazy.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. Just don't. Book anywhere else - directly with the hotel, Priceline, Booking.com, Truvago, Kayak - anywhere else.

Amanda was very helpful in getting my reservation completed when my flight was going to be delayed by about 3 hours. The intercom at the Denver Airport was loud and kept going off while I was trying to make the reservation and Amanda was very patient and helpful.

When booked was told I had smoking room for two nights…. They couldn't book for three nights cause they said Friday smoking was already booked. Arrived today and this hotel is totally smoke free! Went back to website and it said three more smoking room available! They also said my reward was two bottles of wine…. Hotel knows nothing about this at all! SO SO DISAPPOINTED! I came here because my sister in hospital diagnosed with cancer and only has two weeks to live! I just really needed room to relax in because so emotional! So I'm paying for my stay here and am staying in my car right outside back entrance! Will use the bed when I come in and will just go out to my car in morning with coffee before I head back to hospital! CHANGE YOUR WEBSITE!

I thought I was calling the hotel directly but book online.com didn't identify themselves. I requested my reservation they booked it and when I arrived at the hotel they had booked the wrong room. Ultimately I cancelled this reservation and worked directly with the hotel. Booking online has refused to give me a full refund when this was their error. These people are deceptive and just want to take your money. Please book directly with the hotel for honest service.

We were told we would have two queen beds. They were full size! Room smelled of smoke. Drapes were ripped and dirty. When booked we were told it was pet friendly. At check in they said they are not pet friendly.

I'm trying to find a room for a seminar with Northwestern Anesthesia. He didn't try to help me find a room in that block and quoted me the week for $******* and not even sure if it's location is where the seminar is being held. He had an arrogant tone when I questioned the price for a block room amd when I said nevermind, he just disconnected the call.

I have had multiple issues with hotels.com so i moved forward with calling the hotel and asking several questions for safety and all questions where answered. Also Rosangelica lives by her name she was very professional ery clear and very assertive. An angelic customer service help i have ever received.

I had made a reservation, but did not have a reservation number on hand because BW mis-transcribed my email. I'm disappointed that BW did not call me when the reservation email bounced, but the agent did a terrific job of sorting things out.

Kimberly to my opinion went above and beyond to try to help. She listen to my needs and did all she could to find a hotel and long term parking with shuttle service to airport. Unfortunately she could not find a hotel that offered all of my needs through your agency. She did call a hotel that I would have to contact directly. I wish I could have booked. I want to give a special thank you to Mr. Cory for setting me up with an affordable and clean hotel. The hotel that I checked into was VERY Scary.
