They disguise the site URL to look like the direct hotel website in Google search. It wasn't until I saw the $150+ "tax and recovery fee" on a $214 reservation that I realized something was off. By then I'd already booked. I canceled the reservation, but the site isn't clear on whether or not they refund the exorbitant fees. For comparison, booking directly on Marriott had $34 in government taxes and fees. Bookonline.com is crazy.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. Just don't. Book anywhere else - directly with the hotel, Priceline, Booking.com, Truvago, Kayak - anywhere else.

Neal assisted me with my booking in a professional manner although I didn't like that I did not get my IHG discounted rate which is why I booked at this facility. When I reviewed the bill I saw that a $50 fee was added to the special rate.

I booked a reservation online with Country Inn & suites by Radisson hotel. There was an incoming hurricane and my 93 year old father lived in a mobile and needed to evacuate. When we arrived at Counrty Inn hotel to check in they told us that because my credit card was declined they canceled the reservation without notification and the hotel was sold out. I didn't have enough credit on my card to cover the room. It was to my understanding that my credit card would only be used to hold the reservation and pay for the room when we check in. So I started calling hotels in the area trying to find a room. Many in the area were sold out or the rates of the rooms were too high. I spoke to Tnesha on the phone for about 40 minutes until she located a hotel. She was kind and patient with me and understood the situation my father and I were in. Thanks again!

When I tried to purchase on online, my price was way too high for what I had been quoted per room. When I called the number given, she was very helpful and and gave me the correct price.

Joi was on duty when I called. Her original suggestion was more than I could manage. I was calling for that very night and there wasn't al lot available. She found me a place at a location I liked and price I could afford. I will use this service again.

My husband is not well. Our 49th wedding anniversary is next month. Not sure if he will make it to our 50th next year. He used to plan all our celebrations. I needed help. I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks.

Got a quick response from sitejaabber about my bad experience with bookonline. Sitejabber needs to look at the reservation statements that bookonline shows to the customer. Sitejabber would know what they are saying is not helping the customer. Sitejabber responded to me saying that the charge amount is on the checkout page. What good does that do after you've been told a different amount when booking the room. You get ready to check out and you notice the extra charges bookonline has added. Opps to late to cancell now. They just got you!

Kelly was great…. Personable, quick on the draw, smart…. Even though she was picking up where another agent had left off, she got it all.
Easy and pleasant exchange.

Follow up review. I am Canadian and booked a hotel in BC in Canadian $. I prepaid in Canadian dollars. I was charged in US dollars. Book online converted to US. I paid a total of $352.00 for a 3 star room. I contacted 2 different individuals at Bookonline, who basically said "Too bad, you booked it" STAY AWAY FROM BOOKONLINE. They are a dubious, underhanded company.
Tip for consumers:
That they converted my Canadian Visa to US dollars without my knowledge
Products used:
Canadian charged US dollars on BOOKONLINE.com

Poor at best. Communication challenge, unable to find room block, was transferred with no details or indications and then was stuck in the endless loop of unintelligent AI

Found a room at Comfort Inn in Ottawa fir $95 for Choice Privileges membership. Called the 888-xxx-xxxx number and discovered that the room rate had been changed to $117. I went back on Trip Advisor; still offering room for $95. They wanted my password for Choice. T.A. Said the password was on eveey email from you. Looked up my email; fiund a number; entered it on Trip Advisor site and it came back as wrong password. I asked fir new password. Got the link; went on; changed it. But then Choice site wanted confirmation. I clicked on confirmation, but the site said confirmation was too slow and had expired. I am not a millenial who knows how to keep multiple tabs open on my computer. I M seriously thinking about just sleeoing in my car.

Very pleasant, professional and efficient lady handled my reservation.
Thank you!
The online reservation locked me out because it didn't send me a code to enter.
That was a disaster!

Ariana was very sweet & nice on the phone. I explained to her my connecting flight in Dallas was cancelled b/c we came in so late & I needed a hotel asap. It was a little after midnight. She checked the Grand Hyatt since it was at the airport. After adding taxes the one night stay was going to be over $630.00 she checked the other hyatt properties. Found one & when she went to put my CC in, she said the rooms disappeared & all Hyatt properties except the Grand Hyatt were full. I said book it & I'll walk to terminal D to the hotel. Upon arrival, a clerk named Lisa said Ariana accidentally booked the room for Saturday with a check-in of 3PM! Lisa refunded my card and gave me ******* as the confirmation cancelation number. I've been trying to contact Hilton since 6am CST to make sure it's been rectified. CANT TALK TO A HUMAN!
