Do not use this site. We thought we were on the actual hotel's site but were not and were literally charged hundreds of dollars over the room rate and we an elles about two minutes after making the reservation. And our credit card company would not give us our money back
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you are on a legit honorable website before booking.

We purchased directly through the hotel's actual website despite our unsuccessful attempt for a refund.

We tried booking at a Toronto hotel but there was no availability Joyce, in Reservations at the Canopy Hotel, was a terrific help. She checked throughout other establishments until we found what we were looking for. She saved us time, and was most pleasant and helpful! Thanks Joyce. Bruce and Susan McKie
1 star only because they dont allow negative stars. This company is operating with misleading and deceptive practices which are illegal in Australia. The only way to stop or limit there scam behaviour is to warn people. I made a booking with Bookonlie.com not realising they were an american website. They charged american $ for a booking in Australia for an Australian hotel. They also charged over $50 aus for insurance which I did not select. When I call and complained they chose to cancel my booking. I DID NOT ASK FOR THE BOOKING TO BE CANCELLED> So now i have lost over $600 and have no accomodation. Numerous calls to - yes you guessed it a Phillipino call centre - i have had no help. They tell me someone will call me back but it has now been over 2 weeks. The last call centre person tried to assure me they were a highly professional internal company. MMM you would wonder if this was correct why they would need to steal from people.
Adrian helped me find the room of my dreams in Redding. We may just be coming for a tournament, but his customer service made it feel like an exquisite vacation.

The phone attendant was great. Quick, through, knowledgeable, very friendly and made me feel good about calling in person instead of wrestling with an impersonal website

Ivory was extremely courteous and very helpful. She turned a slightly stressful situation into an enjoyable one. Totally professional but still warmly engaging.

Yeah they said $94 room rate, soon as I hit ok, an extra $53 non return tax recovery & fee was added. Would never use this crappy site again. Rip off!

Thanks Becky. After three flights today, an early start and accompanying friend following surgery we are pleased with your assistance in reserving the last room for us. best, Rod

This company is a total scam. My elderly father booked a refundable room through them. He needed to cancel because of getting sick before travel. He called the hotel and per their policy could cancel but unfortunately he had unknowingly book through this 3rd party vendor. The email confirmation stated to contact BookOnline via email or phone. When you call they send you through a ticket system which will go unanswered. We got a hold of one very rude customer service person who said they'd call us back but never did. Between the two of us we sent 7 emails. They obviously scammed my father out of $400 to make a $10 booking fee. The hotel (Four Points Sheraton) confirmed that this company is a scam. What's crazy to me is that they (BookOnline) only makes a $10 cut to scam people, including my elderly parent living on a fixed income. Shameful.

Booked 2 nights at "Days Inn" through bookonline.com, & it was 280.00$.
Once I got here & looked around, noticed how the front door to my hotel room was cracked luke warm water in the shower, etc.
So I went to the front desk, an asked to checkout, how 280$ for 2 nights was pretty rediculous, given the state of the rooms.
He looked pretty confused, an told me for 2 nights, it would be 180.00$... and that was without any reservation etc.
Bookonline seriously charged 280.00$ for 2 nights, booked a week in advance.
If you do go through bookonline.com. Just call the hotel first, & ask how much their rates are before you plunk your credit card into these guys... lmfao

First off, I thought I was on the Comfort Inn website, but that was not a big deal. Well I was setting up my reservation and got to the end when it gave me a message saying there was an error processing. I then did it again and this time it went through. Next thing I know, I got two emails and two charges. I have called BookOnline numerous times. A person never answers and all I can do is leave a message. Nobody helps in this company. BE AWARE OF USING BookOnline!

Joi gave us a hotel almost 45 minutes off of rt 75 North. Told her I wanted a hotel with a bar and restaurant, couldn't cancel my reservation because she already took my card. The Best Western has no restaurant and no bar and it's under reconstruction! NEVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK LIKE THIS AGAIN.

The Hilton guest relations member was awesome she worked hard to find me a room at the last minute for a great price.

They disguise the site URL to look like the direct hotel website in Google search. It wasn't until I saw the $150+ "tax and recovery fee" on a $214 reservation that I realized something was off. By then I'd already booked. I canceled the reservation, but the site isn't clear on whether or not they refund the exorbitant fees. For comparison, booking directly on Marriott had $34 in government taxes and fees. Bookonline.com is crazy.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. Just don't. Book anywhere else - directly with the hotel, Priceline, Booking.com, Truvago, Kayak - anywhere else.

Hi Elissa, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, BookOnline must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. BookOnline conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please send us a private message with your reservation information used at the time of purchase and we will respond with the next steps.

I had a lot of questions and she answered all with professionalism. She's DEFINITELY AN ASSET TO YOUR BUSINESS. HONESTLY I SAY PROMOTE HER ASAP. IT WAS AN HONOR DOING BUSINESS WITH HER.

Beware that BookOnline is NOT the same as Booking.com. The page with the price for Booking.com appears but behind it is the BookOnline Page. It added $41.00 of "tax recovery charges and service fees."
This is intentionally misleading and there is no way to rectify it. The hotel I booked was unaware and told me the price was as I expected. The charge to my card was an additional $41.39. STAY AWAY
