They disguise the site URL to look like the direct hotel website in Google search. It wasn't until I saw the $150+ "tax and recovery fee" on a $214 reservation that I realized something was off. By then I'd already booked. I canceled the reservation, but the site isn't clear on whether or not they refund the exorbitant fees. For comparison, booking directly on Marriott had $34 in government taxes and fees. Bookonline.com is crazy.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. Just don't. Book anywhere else - directly with the hotel, Priceline, Booking.com, Truvago, Kayak - anywhere else.

My husband made a reservation months ago, but had issues when he arrived. They only had $1,200 a night suites available. While my husband was at registration trying to reserve a cheaper room, I called and spoke with Vanessa. She was able to book him a reservation for 3 nights at the Cosmopolitan. My hubby was able to walk over and check in immediately. After a long flight, finding a reasonably priced room was a relief.
I mistakenly booked a hotel room on this website and paid in full at the time of booking. When I checked out of the hotel 3 nights later I was told that my payment had not been received and that I needed to pay for my stay with another credit card. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
The associate was very polite and solved my issues very quickly.

It was a very long wait at the time I called, but I hung on and waiting not to even hear a few fun facts about hotels around the country. Lauren was especially patient As I had to confirm with my daughter via messenger, to confirm exactly what she wanted for our stay. She was especially friendly and took care of everything quickly and effectively.

She barely heard what my issue was and transferred me to a customer service number that needed a itinerary number with a H which I don't have. It was a billing error and I needed to be connected with the reception desk. I eventually found the number myself on Google.

I was trying to link up with some friends that will be staying this weekend at the Courtyard by Marriott in Charleston, SC Northside Dr location. Bailey was pleasantly helpful, and I honestly did appreciate her in searching for me. They were sold out but she suggested another nice location. Sighed heavily and told me no room was available. When I began to say I'd go somewhere else he said oh wait here's one and then quoted me $400. I was able to book online no problem for $250 range. This makes me distrust you guys.
