As stated in previous comments, my fees/taxes were almost $100 more than what I could have booked through the hotel. On top of that the hotel allows for cancellations and Bookonline.com does not. There was no breakdown of fees, so when I saw the bill later I thought there must be an error because the taxes and fees were over 75% of what my nightly rate was! The booking was $144/night and the taxes/fees were $108/night! Through Marriot directly the taxes/fees would have been $13/night at most. I've tried getting in touch with customer service several times, but keep getting the same robot generic response back. The only reason I'm writing a review here (First review I've written ever maybe) is because I've seen them respond to some of the poor reviews given here. I'd like to recover my almost $800 extra I spent on this 8 day booking. DON'T BOOK HERE. There are plenty of better options.

1 star only because they dont allow negative stars. This company is operating with misleading and deceptive practices which are illegal in Australia. The only way to stop or limit there scam behaviour is to warn people. I made a booking with Bookonlie.com not realising they were an american website. They charged american $ for a booking in Australia for an Australian hotel. They also charged over $50 aus for insurance which I did not select. When I call and complained they chose to cancel my booking. I DID NOT ASK FOR THE BOOKING TO BE CANCELLED> So now i have lost over $600 and have no accomodation. Numerous calls to - yes you guessed it a Phillipino call centre - i have had no help. They tell me someone will call me back but it has now been over 2 weeks. The last call centre person tried to assure me they were a highly professional internal company. MMM you would wonder if this was correct why they would need to steal from people.
Called Christopher and he was able to help me with my room accommodations and membership information. Super happy and we always come back to our favorite Jewel.

No email confirmation of reservation, the room you book will not be what you get. I booked a King Pet Friendly room only to find out the day of arrival that my pets could not be accommodated. This company caused a no notice cancellation that cost nearly 300 and they don't care. If I could take a star from my 1 star rating I would. I'll be filling a complaint with BBB

I didn't book the room my sister did I canceled the very next day. Long story short I never stayed at the hotel and they still took 280 out of my account times are hard I'll never book with them again!

Rooms would sell out by the time I processed my card. Then it wouldn't process when I did get a room. I called the Reservation line and was done in 5 minutes. So just skip online and just call!

My experience was horrible. Book a hotel with Best western Cypress Creek 7921 Lamar Pool, Biloxi, MS *******. Room305 was infested with bedbugs. Not only that I have not received a refund.

1st attempt was not successful. I found out when I called reservations # b/c I had not received an email confirmation. 2nd attempt reservationist confirmed reservation but still no email confirmation. 3rd attempt Gio Marco redid the reservation and FINALLY it went through.

We booked a room online for a Fairfield Inn at a rate of $119.00. Book online did not disclose that they were charging an additional $50 + dollars for taxes and fees. We would have never booked this room knowing there would be that much in additional charges.

I reserved and cancelled my reservation within a few minutes of realizing I was not on the Wyndham Rewards site. The reservation confirmation emphasized Free Cancellation, but I was charged the full amount of $1822. 33: they will give me no refund and they will give me no room (will not reinstate my reservation). I complained to Google about elevating any company with such a bad Better Business Bureau rating to the top of my search list as if it best matched my search.
