I get you sell less than brand new books, but if you'd take half a second packing you'd make your customers exponentially more happy. For the second time my book was damaged due to stupid packing mistakes. One of my softcover books had a hardcover shoved in the middle of it smashing a bunch of pages into an accordion because whoever packed it was too damn lazy or just didn't give a $#*!.

I was very skeptical at first because of the prices. Only asking 20 dollars for a 40-50 dollar book? Come on has to be a scam right? WRONG. Within a couple of weeks a perfect quality, immaculate, and brand new copy of the book arrived and only for 20 dollars. Yeah, I know my new book website.

I was happy with the selection but the shipping left something to be desired. My order of 13 books were sent in an old computer monitor box that was poorly taped up and by the time I received the box half of the books inside had bent covers and were falling out of the box.

Books were very poorly packed, they banged around the box since there was zero packing material to keep them from doing so. And some of the books look like they were damaged before they were shipped. Can't think of why I would want to purchase from you again after that.

Excellent English translation by a Chinese professor of of this No. 1 Chinese classic, a Chinese "Romeo and Juliet" story. Surprisingly low price of $8 per copy for a $23 book. 100% new and excellent condition. Encouraged to buy more copies to meet a minimum $ purchase for free shipping. I did. Books delivered by 'Expedited Parcel' to me personally (I happened to be home) by Canada Post in only a few days. I gave a copy to my daughter. The other copies are for my friends.

First time user of this website. Very glad to have come across it in my research of a specific book. Now, Book Outlet will be my "go-to" site for book shopping. Thank you for the quality products and the reasonable prices. Both a must.

Overall a great experience. 85% of the books I received were pristine/giftable; several had bent corners, dirty covers, and one unfortunately had a chunk of metallic rubbed off the binding. Excellent for the prices, though. Shipping took over 2 weeks, so plan for quite long turnaround times. I will definitely order again!

Fast shipping, brand new condition. I do wish the shipping box would have had some packing paper or something in it to keep the books from sliding around. The 2 books were slid together between the pages when I opened the box. Besides that, everything was great

These books were a great price and the only thing that was wrong with them was marks on the edges from markers. Nothing wrong with the physical book. Creased spines are the reason I do not buy used books so it was nice to have new books that are cheaper just because of some marker.

I received excellent service from this company. I purchased a toddler's book with a music button and sliding pictures. When it arrived the book did not sing and the on/off button didn't work. I emailed the company about my concern. I received an email back within 48 hours. They then preceded to let me know that they were sorry and would take care of the issue. They sent me a replacement book and told me to donate or recycle the book that did not work. I would highly recommend this company!

Price and ship time is great. Packaging isn't always the greatest. The box arrived and my books were just sliding everywhere during Shipping and my paper backs cut pretty bent up but luckily they were still readable.

I placed a large order for an elementary school function in which books are to be given to students. After looking at shipping policies, I placed the order more than a month in advance to allow plenty of time for delivery. I was very happy with the selection and prices.
When the books arrived, the boxes were in horrible condition. Ripped boxes, boxes with holes, packing tape applied with the adhesive facing outward, etc. The books were all jumbled up inside. The post office had added taped to one of the boxes. This appeared to come right from the warehouse like this. Out of 8 boxes of books ordered, only 6 arrived. The post office would not even deliver the last two boxes, presumably because the packaging was so bad. I called the company and they said they could refund me, or replace the books that were still in stock, but could not guarantee on-time delivery for my event. I asked for expedited shipping, as this was the fault of Book Outlet, but was told they could not do that. Now I will wait and hope that I get the books on time for our event.

Super easy to order. Kept me informed when it shipped and gave me tracking info. It took a while (I think almost 2 weeks) to receive it, but other than that, I had a good experience. It was packaged really well. And I didn't realize it was a hardback book - like new. I could have paid $22, but instead paid $7 on Book Outlet. Thank YOU!

I read the reviews on bookoutlet.ca, and was worried to order. But the prices are so tempting, so I decided to give it a try and ordered about $30 worth of books. They all arrived in great condition, took about a week (I live in Toronto, and they are based in Ontario, so that might have helped). It was delivered by Canada Post, no issues at all.
I will probably order more in the future, and hope it will go as smoothly as this first time.

One of the books dust jacket was ripped but the book is in perfect condition. And I'm sure it was thru the usps but my box was ripped and broken (like someone punched the box you could see inside) and just truly unsatisfactory. I shop online quite a bit and that's the worst package I've ever received.

Easy to shop. Books run out fast though and no notifications or alert system for when a book you're interested is available. Delivery was within estimated time- but on the last day of estimated time. Didn't like that I couldn't see the progress for days. Quality of books are good for the price! Brand new really. A fee with small wear but just like a new book you get off the shelf at target.

Great price and had the quantity I needed for my classroom novel study. Only problem was the shipping! It took almost 2 weeks! Don't know if the shipping took so long because it came USPS or because I had it shipped to my school that is not open much past 4:00 pm.

Great to have a good Canadian book source. I'll get used to the website.
I was particularly impressed with the speedy service as schedules are hard to fulfill during these times.
The book was in excellent condition, brand new, which is important to me as it was a gift for my daughter.

I am overall happy with the price and the product o received except one of the books I got looks like it was dunked in water and has stains all over it. Very poor quality. The other books had minor dings or scratches on the covers which is fine for me with the price but it's gross to get a completely stained up water logged book.

The prices are good and the books are almost always in excellent condition. But the amount of time it takes Book Outlet to process orders is extremely long. You place an order, a week or more goes by then you receive a notice that the order has been shipped, but really only the label has been created in their system, and the order won't actually be shipped for another week or more. So in all you are waiting multiple weeks for your order to be shipped.
