Although I've read a lot of negative reviews about Bridgecrest, my experience has been great. For the time I had Bridgecrest, I never experienced any negative issues at all. I always kept my loan current and never heard from them unless I called regarding questions I had. They were always friendly and more than willing to help me. I did refinance with another lender only because I found a better rate. Paying off the loan went smoothly. It comes down to this, keep your loan current and you won't have to deal with anyone from Bridgecrest unless you call with questions.
Worst possible company to deal with. They have no managers allowed to assist you, leaving you to a "customer relations" line that can't do much of anything. It took weeks of calls in order to get money back that was owed to me after my insurance gave them a full payouts. They actively are rude and uncommunicative. I would avoid this company at all costs.
Horrible I mean horrible company I set up a payment arrangement with them paid half the payment last time I got paid and agreed to pay the remaining balance plus the upcoming payment when I got paid on the 10th needless to say I left work lastnight on the 7th and my car was repo'd over $110 all I can say is wow thank god my wife has a vehicle but wow during these hard times you people are going to make it even harder lesson learned here stay away from this company
Don't trust them, save and go to a better company this company is not worth the stress. Rude, money hungry and does not care about customers. My car was repo'd and was not properly informed. They kept harassing me after I told them the situation I was in and after speaking to multiple reps so I could change my payments days all they were concerned was for me to pay more for interest when I couldn't and was barely paying the days I had set with my new job after my payments I was being sent emails of my new balance but after I paid the interest kept going up with 530 a payment HOW? SOON AFTER I WAS MAKING COMPLAINTS AND THEY MISSED MY Payment AFTER I SIGNED UP FOR AUTOPAY AND THEY CHARGED OFF MY CAR.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM DRIVETIME AND FINANCE THRU BRIDGECREST! THEY WORK TOGETHER! SALESMAN SET U UP FOR A REALLY BAD DEAL. AFTER U DRIVE OFF THE LOT WITH (RIM ON CAR THAT'S NOT MANUFACTURED. CAUSING TO LOOSE AIR PRESSURE) NEEDLES TO SAY I HAD TO PUYT AIR IN TIRES EVERY 3 DAYS... THEY ARE DONE WITH YOU... I WAS TOLD BY DEALER OF DRIVE TIME SINCE I HAVE GAP INSURANCE TO WRECK THE CAR. WT HECK. REALLY... THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PETTY DEALERS NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN... SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT MESSING WITH THIS COMPANY... HOME OF THE UGLY DUCKLIN! CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS TOO CUZ THEY READ FROM SCRIPTS. MOST DONT KNOW WHAT THE SCRIPT MEANS... POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, DRIVE TIME, 2 WEEKS, PAYMENT, INTEREST RATE, CAR LOAN, COMPANY 6 MONTH, GAP INSURANCE, PEOPLE
Actually Bridgecrest is a shell company used by Drivetime to screw you on auto loans. They are the people Drivetime will refer you to if you have a question or complaint about their loans. They have exactly the same boards and CEOs They charge loanshark rates and have illegally re-poed cars and been caught doing it(UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEEDING File No. 2014-CFPB-0017). As Gomer would say, "Surprise, Surprise, Surprise"!
This is the worst finance company ever. They will lie and scam you anyway they can. I was originally told one monthly payment price then after the paper work was signed and I made the first few payments they said I was behind and the amount I was paying was only the bi weekly payment amount. I was never told this other wise I wouldn't have got this car. The interest rate on this loan was so high there should be a law against this. I told them to fix my monthly amount to what I was told and the rep said I am sorry but you signed the paperwork saying that you would pay that amount. I looked in my contract and it says no such thing. LONG STORY SHORT DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE SCAM ARTIST. THEY WOULD BE SO BLANTON TO THE TRY AND SELL THE DEVIL ICE. DO. NOT. BUY. FROM. THEM. YOU. WILL. REGRET. IT
I went to make a payment on THEIR website. Filled out the payment information hit submit and it said an error occurred please try again. So I went back to the payment page and it said I still owed the payment. I went back and redid the payment and it said excepted. Then I get 2 emails that 2 transactions are processing. I called them and they would not do anything and said if I canceled at my bank I would owe them 15 dollars for a cancellation fee. They would reimburse me if I went and got a paper copy of the transaction from the bank, don't cross off any other information and here's the best part. Mail it to them no screen shots allowed and they would review it to see if I deserve the reimbursement. I told them that would be the next month by then how about if we call it the next month's payment. Nope can't do that either. So I told them keep it. I am going to my bank and refinance it. They will lose money because the payout loses all the interest they would have gotten. So I fired them. And told them that on every platform I can complain on I would. Truly shady business practices.
Absolute nightmare. DO NOT FINANCE WITH BRIDGECREST! Long story short: Ordered a car from Carvana, was unsatisfied and traded it for another vehicle using there 7 day return policy. Both vehicles financed with Bridgecrest. The auto pay ($495) for the first vehicle was taken out of my bank account for two consecutive months, and it should not have even came out once. When Bridgecrest was notified I was ASSURED the account was closed and the two payments made toward the first car would be applied to the second car I purchased. COMPLETE LIE. The past 2-3 weeks have been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I call every other day to see if my issue is close to being resolved and they just keep telling me it's been forwarded to another department. Then, today when I called I was threatened with a repossession notice for the vehicle I currently have even though I have paid almost $1,000 to Bridgecrest in the past 6-8 weeks. Those two payments HAVE NOT been applied toward my current vehicle and it looks like I am behind on my first payment. ON TOP of being 9 months pregnant, my blood pressure is absolutely through the roof and I am at a loss of what to do. DO NOT FINANCE WITH THIS COMPANY.
The worst company to ever get a car from almost $30,000 for a car with no AC no Radio. This is by far the last company i would ever recommend anyone too. BRIDGECREST / DRIVETIME is the absolute WORST. YALL SUCK.
Tip for consumers:
They are crappy and pretty much rob you . my car isnt even worth 5000 but paying almost 30000
I suffered a total loss on May 3,2021 due to hail damage. I was told because it was due to hail damage that I had the option of retaining my vehicle. The following week I was told that wasn't an option. I went back and forth with them for nearly a month when finally I got a hold of a total loss manager there who emailed me the owner retain agreement. I signed and paid the salvage value. In the meantime my insurance company awaited a particular document in order to send a check to the lender. After a month Bridgecrest finally sent the document and in return my insurance company issued a check. It is now August 11th and to date this is still dragging on. The GAP company hasn't been contacted by Bridgecrest and the loan can't be paid off until they do so. So here I am 90days past due even though I have kept up with my end of the agreement.
I guess I'm supposed to pay 7k upfront plus my monthly loan payment even though I entered into a new agreement (owner retain agreement) while they sit and let time go by without doing anything.
This is the worse company ever!
RUN... DONT DO IT...
During the corona virus this company refuses to work with people. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's company has closed, but this company has the rudest staff, as they safely work from home to tell you that "you will be turned over to a collection agency but your late fees forgiven sorry but it's within the laws." My mother deals with Navy Federal, they didn't make her jump thru any loops they were very nice and very efficient and gave her a deferred payment until June and told her that if things weren't better by then to call them and they would extend it further. I wouldn't advise anyone to ever use this BridgeCrest. As far as I'm concerned they can come pick this car up if it comes to feeding us or making this payment, I'm going to choose feeding my family. I do not wish bad things on any one EVER. But with everything in me, I hope during this World wide pandemic these rude folks like this are the only ones stuck without a permanent job I hope the rude hateful selfish uncompassionate folks at this horrible company goes bankrupt and they get stuck with all these crappy worthless over priced cars they sold to folks. I really wish we would have saw the reviews BEFORE making a purchase WOW! The harassing calls don't stop even tho it's noted in their computer" saying prayers for us all.
ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! "PERIOD" 1st, Horrible customer service, no compassion, no help nothing. They sound like robots. Bleeding you dry with "fees" that are not correct. I supposedly had two payments returned by my "bank" chase bank. However Chase has no record of them being presented let alone returned for non payment I called them to ask them how and why? Chase said they didn't know provided me with documentation stating it was never presented. Called Bridgecrest was hung up on three times. Finally got "Al" on the phone he was rude, and told me I wasn't on the account. (which I am) told me I was married to the other party on the account how can I use his information. "We are both on the Account" I then just paid it using my debit card, He didn't' want to hear that there is over 3,000 in his account why was it returned. He didn't know but get this charged me 3.95 to pay a payment with him and being charged 15.00 for the return free. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? So I paid it just to get it paid! Spoke to a supervisor "Sydney" She told me I can send in my bank statement to show them, however in her professional experience she has never seen it reversed had no resolution but submit my grievance to *******@bridgecrest and see where is goes! The company will try and get any fee for any reason ever! Horrible. Getting my car refinanced as I type. I will never do business with them ever just horrible!

During this pandemic I've lost my full time job. The only job that paid me enough to pay my car. Back in June when I officially lost it I called telling them I lost my job and that I will be working side jobs to pay as much as I can. I paid $100 last week because that's all I had In my pocket. I woke up this morning. No phone call. No email. Nothing. I walked outside to get paperwork to my new job I finally got and my car was repoed. I called them explaining once again I lost my job due to covid and I've been making small amount of payments to keep my car for this job. They told me good luck on my job and I won't get my car pack unless I have $1,500 to pay them. I'm not even suppose to be paying as much as I am for a 2012 Kia Sportage. It's suppose to be less. And I even told them in the paperwork the amount I'm suppose to be paying. They told me there's nothing they can do to change it. The customer service was horrible. They were rude. I've lost everything due to covid. That car was all I had.
Paid off one loan and have another my credit is close to 700 now. They gave me the chance to do better. Thanks again.
Worst banking experience ever. Avoid at all cost. If you don't have the money to pay cash, save until you do.
This company is robbing me and my family and they absolutely will not do you any favors. The drive time car is falling apart after a year service
I have had a loan with Bridgecrest for nearly four years, I have 100% payment history, I had the highest interest rate possible of nearly THIRTY PERCENT. I STILL made on time payments. I traded my car in TWO months ago to rid myself clean of the loan and the car since I couldn't afford $600 a month on a 7 year old car anymore after having it nearly 4 years. Bridgecrest accepted the payoff check and I got a phone call "congratulations your loan is paid off!" 2 weeks ago I'm getting phone calls from them "Ma'am how do you plan on making your payment for $948 today? You're almost 2 months late on your payment" EXCUSE ME! They REFUSE TO ACCEPT the check from LEXUS to pay off my car! They reported me for credit delinquency when I traded that car in TWO MONTHS AGO! They sent the check back for "insufficient funds"…. From LEXUS?! AS IF! Do not lend through this company! They are trying to steal from you! We have attorneys to rightfully sue them for not accepting a payoff check! To make it even worse I didn't even receive a refund check for my warranty and gap insurance since they re opened my account, so I am now out an additional $555 that is rightfully owed to me.
I called was just told by Colton from customer service to find another loan company! I am frustrated
I bought a 2006 HHR in 2014. First thing, I'm a young woman who walked into a dealership alone with no knowledge of the car game. I put $1000 down and my carnote was $436 a month. 2 weeks after I get the car the check engine light comes on. Call them and they said I was out of warranty because I went over the mileage. I had to pay for about 8 different things wrong with this piece of crap because they wouldn't cover it. I made my last payment in September 2015 and called about a week later to do a voluntary repossession because it was costing too much. Do you want to know when they picked my car up? February 26th, 2016. Threy have since reported my account as a repossession AND this past week reported late payments from 2015 to date! But I received a letter in the mail saying now they dont have enough information on me and I need to call and update my info lol BUT they sent the letter to my house which is the same house the tow truck that drove 189 miles to pick up the car. Runnnnnnnn far far away from these scammers!

Dont buy anythgfrom them.

A piece of crap car.
The interest rate is like highway robbery especially the APR. I was told they will not refinance neither.
I hate to be another person complaining because I couldn't pay my note for ONE month but here I am. I cannot believe there are still companies that act like life isn't life and s**t doesn't happen!
I was about to miss a payment and knew I wouldn't be able to make it up until the next month, when I called to ask to push it back they told me about a deferent plan I could set up. I called to set it up and they said I had to miss the payment first. (okay?) and I did as I knew I would. I called back and they said NO I didn't qualify for the deferment! (Now why the hell would yall even suggest I do this then!) Also I'm wondering how and why I didn't qualify when at the moment funds were tight because my husband retired from the AF and we were still waiting for his final payments, a mess up on the military's end. Which I tried to explain. They basically told me thats not their problem and sorry but I should've saved up note money and thought of that before he retired
This occurred in Feb. Now we are on a different ddeposit schedule as hubs has a new job and the note date will always be late or in the way of other bills. They said NO to changing the payment date! Wth?! So yeah, they suck. I'd never recommend them to anyone. I guess they were fine up until then, they're just terrible in a bad situation. Know they won't back you up or even act like they want your service, just rude and inconsiderate rules/people. But I can say I had no problem in the first 2 years when everything was fine and payments were made on time; and thats why they have 2 stars instead of 1.

I reason purchased my 2017 Malibu March of 2019. I have not had any issues with Bridgecrest nor with making any payments until now. I was set up on a biweekly payment plan for the first six months. I have a contract indicating my payments would be $444.00 a month. I have been for filling my payments through auto pay for the last 5 1/2 months with no issue. We are now in August and I get paid 8/2,8/16 and 8/30. I for-filled my $444.00 monthly payment on 8/16 but Bridgecrest is trying to take another payment on the 30th which would not be over my agreed amount. Although, the amount they want to debit biweekly $222.00 I have but why should I give when I was told of what my monthly amount would be? I spoke with customer care and I was referred back to DriveTime, DriveTime stated once the contract is submitted I have to go through bridgecrest. I am currently seeking another financial bank that can take over my loan so that I can rid myself of this. Consumer, I know you may be down on your credit, may not have alot but do not involve yourself with DriveTime or Bridgecrest. I am uncertain how the better business bearu even allows these company to operate.
These people are disgusting. They make vailed threats even through the Corona pandemic and even though I am only 5 days late paying. Horrible!
Irritating company that caters mostly to subprime market, which I am not. I'm in the process of a refi with PenFed and can't sign the documents fast enough. If you buy from Carvana, refi as soon as you can (IF you can) because Bridgecrest is awful. I hate having this embarrassing trash financier on my credit report.
Most of the reviews are from subprime people who have a subprime understanding of lending (i. E., "I signed the paperwork for this outrageous 27% APR loan and Bridgecrest is not willing to work with me after [health issues/fight with significant other/depression/incarceration]". What they aren't saying is that they probably asked for an extension after two months of payments. Or "this company sucks because they repossessed my car!" They repoed your car because you didn't pay, moron. Or "I totaled my car and Bridgecrest blah blah blah". Who totals their car? I'm turning 50 this year and have been in two tiny fender benders in my life, having gotten a license at 16. Reckless people put others in danger and then they whine about insurance and finance companies giving them high rates and "not working with them"?! Go eff yourself. You're working with underwriters, not your social worker or elementary school teacher. It's called calculated risk. Pay up or shut up.
I purchased a 2015 Hyundai elantra in July of 2018. Upon receiving the car, the rear brakes were toasted, Tires were Chinese made and the engine was VERY noisy. The Brakes were fixed, the tires replaced ($500.00) and 5 months later the battery failed ($200). So far $750 out of pocket tires/battery. June of 2019 the engine refused to remain running at stop signs, stalling 12+ times a day. Hyundai Rebuilt the engine at a total cost of over $4500 with parts/labor/dealer ship repairs/rental car (Hyundai paid). After an oil change the stalling has started again. Based on my records, this car has had close to $5500. 00 in repairs in 18 months... REALLY? So I elected to cash in the extended warranty. I e-mailed the warranty company and that was handled promptly, and efficiently, however, Bridgecrest claims they never received the money. After about 2 weeks I called them 4X today each time on hold for over 15 minutes. Last supervisor finally admitted they get paid via SilverRock(warranty company) 2X a month and that the payment would not post for a week the 24th, BUT... get this. Car is scheduled to be repossessed starting on the 20th of this month. WTF. I made a small payment today, to stop this as requested. I owe about $375, the warranty check is for $1081... more than enough to get me caught back up. But they REFUSE to post to payments and want to post to principal of loan ONLY... WTF again... If CapitolOne can post warranty cash out to payments, why can't Bridgecrest. This is the first in many complaints to be filed...
