“Great Service”

Douglas M.
10/28/21

Although I've read a lot of negative reviews about Bridgecrest, my experience has been great. For the time I had Bridgecrest, I never experienced any negative issues at all. I always kept my loan current and never heard from them unless I called regarding questions I had. They were always friendly and more than willing to help me. I did refinance with another lender only because I found a better rate. Paying off the loan went smoothly. It comes down to this, keep your loan current and you won't have to deal with anyone from Bridgecrest unless you call with questions.

Top Critical Review

“Rude, unprofessional, uninformed”

Luc M.

Worst possible company to deal with. They have no managers allowed to assist you, leaving you to a "customer relations" line that can't do much of anything. It took weeks of calls in order to get money back that was owed to me after my insurance gave them a full payouts. They actively are rude and uncommunicative. I would avoid this company at all costs.

I bought a 2014 Chevy Sonic through DriveTime/Bridgecrest a couple of years ago. Financial problems made it so I had to reschedule quite a few payments. I've found that they're always willing to work with me on these, and I really appreciate what they do. Also, when I make alternate arrangements, I always do what I say I'm going to do. I think it depends at least a bit on the attitude I have when I call. I'm always polite, friendly and apologetic about missing payments, and I always thank them for their willingness to work with me, and they respond in kind. Very happy with them! And I love the car.

Don't get anything from this company. I was sold a vehicle with a factory recall. The customers service agents provide no help at all. Was laid off cause of the stay at home order and they are in willing to help. I could not defer a payment. They told me I had to be late on it. So they wanted it to negatively affect my credit before they even began to help. They don't give you blue book values of the cars they have to sell. Shopping here is just all bad no help in a crisis and you are gravely over paying to begin with. I would recommend that you stay away from this company unless you want to just add stress to your life.

This company should be banned especially to military! This company rips off anyone going through them to finance a car! DO NOT EVER USE THEM! You will regret it later on! Them and drive time are vultures and could care less about the average person, they pray in the weak and then screw you over! The stuff they do should be illegal but those screwing over the little guys get away with murder and they do! Research them please before even considering them! They are not good for people!

Bridgecrest has to be the worst finance company. After getting a car not even a year ago, the dealership nor Bridgecrest is willing to work or solve any issues with the vehicle. We have spent so much money on this car for it to keep having issues. Bridgecrest won't even work with you regarding a payment so we are to the point of letting them pick the car up. Will never use them again nor recommend.

My brother passed away I September 2020. I've been actively trying to take responsibility for his vehicle because my mom wanted to keep it. I was advised this would be no problem. I just needed to keep his account current until this could be completed. I made an initial payment of over $3000 which was more than all of the total balance due on the account.

Shortly after that the vehicle showed up on my credit but I received no legal documentation showing it was under my name. I constantly reached out to the company but was constantly given the run around. Its now the end of July 2021 and I still have no documentation and no title information so that I can register the vehicle and drive it. The vehicle has had to be repaired several times because it can't be drive legally. I've advised them that I am going to seek legal counsel and have all payments rescinded by my bank and drop the car off at a drive time dealership.

Think you're gonna get a little break from these people during this difficult time? Think again! Just made a payment today, barely let the ink dry on the check and they are calling me looking for the next one. Like it literally just posted today! These people are a nightmare. If your payment is due by Midnight, they call you at 8:01 am the next day, literally right after they open, looking for the payment that is NOT EVEN 8 hours late. Unreal!

I pay extra every month to knock down the bill since the interest rate is ridiculous. Every payment I have to call them several times to have them put the extra money I paid on the principal since that is not an option online. After several phone calls they finally change it but they don't reimburse me for the interest for the weeks that it takes. This is obviously a scam to squeeze more money out of people. I'm definitely not happy and would never recommend this company.

Sold my car to a dealer, who paid off my loan to Bridgecrest. 2 weeks later, they were finally ready to release the lien. The dealer asked them to fax or Fedex to them, but they refused, insisting on sending it through regular mail. 5 days later and counting, the dealer has still not received the release. Of course, the dealer can't pay me until they get this. Each time I call, I get a different story, but nobody will help expedite this process.

Unbelievable that this company only cares about them and their money. Not even the fact that people are struggling due a global disaster that is no fault of theirs. Threatening repossession in the middle of this crisis is unethical, immoral, and absolutely disgusting. They will hopefully get their dose of karma when the time for reckoning is upon us.

Horrible, horrible experience. I paid off the loan on my vehicle and was told they are keeping the title for 10 business days to allow the money to clear. I paid directly from my bank account and received e-mails and texts confirming they had received the payment.
Now after the 10 day period, I'm having to call them again to release the title... 4 different phone calls to get this accomplished. I'm told now it will be an electronic title and take 3 -4 weeks more.
NEVER, EVER again using Bridgecrest or Carvana!

Several months into my loan and each time I had to call and speak to someone they have been rude and even argue with me about my own personal bank and how my bank is the issue for delayed payments. They threaten to repo the car almost every call, I'm finally at a point where I told them come get it, the endless threats and rude customer service isn't worth it.

So my car got totaled and I was told by them that everything was taken care of by gap insurance, and then years later when I could have had it paid off they charge an amount off to my credit report. When I called to ask why they never contacted me after telling me that the amount was paid off they said they had no obligation to do so. I've been working hard on my credit and this is a huge setback.

These people will harass the daylights out of you for an already ridiculously high interest rate loan. They prey on people with not so great credit and if the loan ever does get paid off, then they buyer ends up paying double for a vehicle that is not worth it. Do NOT deal with these horrible people. They are the WORST.

We are in a middle of a pandemic and this company has the nerve to call and harass people who have been laid off for a payment. It's sad because there are hundreds of finance companies actual making calls to defer payments versus harassing people who are already stressed if they can eat tomorrow. This company should be ashamed of themselves.

If I could give them a negative zero rating I would! Where should I even begin. Let me sum them up in a nutshell….First off, good luck with finding a customer service rep that's here in the USA that speaks English or anything close to English where you will understand what they're talking about. Secondly, whoever you do end up speaking to, good luck with that because they may give you inaccurate information. Thirdly, good luck if your car is being financed (still making payments) and you're trying to get your car's title, or even a copy of your title, in order to register your car from one state to another because they will tell you that it will take 24-48 hours and you'll be never get it. Basically, if you're trying to get financed so that you can get a car, do not use Carvana because you'll get stuck with the financial company Bridgecrest!

Tip for consumers:
Please don’t go through Carvana to get a automobile because you’ll have to go through Bridgecrest to get financing.

In the beginning of the pandemic I was laid off had to make my payment 100 short ( they got the rest) these A... Called me 3 times a day for several days in a row. They have done nothing to help anybody during the pandemic. This company sucks. They have do many lawsuits against them.

60 month loan with 4 payments left. Have paid on time each month and asked for a 1 month payment deferral due to excessive auto repair expense.
Denied... even though it is offered on their Website.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Bought a 2016 Chevy Spark from them for 12,000 in March of 2022. They told me the car had recalls and that they were taken care of so I didn't need to worry about it.

They tacked on a 5000 dollar service charge without telling me and the car only worked for a day before I took it to a mechanic. It had a bad transmission at 62,000 miles. Luckily I got the gap insurance and they sort of took care of it. Still had to pay a 200 deductible. Oh, and the factory recalls weren't taken care of.

The payments are 540 a month for 5 years which comes to a total of 30,000 dollars for a 12,000 dollar car. I planned on paying it off early but I don't think I'm going to do business with a company that lies about pricing, if the vehicle works, and the repairs of factory defects.

Don't use their service unless you're desperate.

Called trying to ask why nothing is getting applied to my principal balance when payments are automatically paid a few days prior to due date. Was advised because of the amount of my daily interest is more than my payment. I can do simple math, and my first 3 payments had a couple hundred applied to principal balance. So why have the last 5 payments not had anything applied to the balance. Ridiculous! Interest for 30 days comes to 475.00 and yet zero is applied to the principal while paying a 743.00 payment. Will be reporting this account and if necessary filing a lawsuit against them. Beware of this company and pay attention to how your payments are being applied.

This is the absolute worst of all car lenders. Buyer beware. One day late and they send a repo company. Customer service is ridiculous and ignorant. No help. The reps are rude and they incite anger and continue to antagonize customers. They screwed up my payments from day one and refused to correct it, even though it was their mistake.

Tip for consumers:
How you are treated after purchase. Repossession for being one day late on a payment. Very rude, ignorant customer service. Warning about csr reps Dakota and Shalynn. Two of the most ignorant people I've ever dealt with in customer service.

Whats that all about. Still was told call back again. A month now still no decision. This bank is terrible on customer service.

I paid ahead on my vehicle and then tried to set up auto-pay. Because I was ahead on payments, they prevented me from setting up auto-pay until the date it was due (over a year from now). In the meantime, I have to manually log on or call every month less than 14 days from my payment due date to set up my payment. Even the customer service reps cannot put in the date for payment until less than two weeks from the due date. The fact they cannot allow something so easy and customer friendly with today's technology clearly shows they want to prevent you from paying off your debts and anything that reduces the amount of interest they make. I will not use this service again and have warned all my friends and family about it. This will likely prevent me from utilizing Carvana in the future as well.

If you have insufficient fund fees and still make your payments on time and even early they will lock your online payments for 8 months and say you must mail in a check in order to not be charged for making payments. Or you can call and make payments for the next 8 months but you will be charged 4 dollars each time when you call to make your payments. It's just another way for them to scam people out of their money.
