“Great Service”

Douglas M.
10/28/21

Although I've read a lot of negative reviews about Bridgecrest, my experience has been great. For the time I had Bridgecrest, I never experienced any negative issues at all. I always kept my loan current and never heard from them unless I called regarding questions I had. They were always friendly and more than willing to help me. I did refinance with another lender only because I found a better rate. Paying off the loan went smoothly. It comes down to this, keep your loan current and you won't have to deal with anyone from Bridgecrest unless you call with questions.

Top Critical Review

“Rude, unprofessional, uninformed”

Luc M.
10/22/24

Worst possible company to deal with. They have no managers allowed to assist you, leaving you to a "customer relations" line that can't do much of anything. It took weeks of calls in order to get money back that was owed to me after my insurance gave them a full payouts. They actively are rude and uncommunicative. I would avoid this company at all costs.

I completed my car loan to find I had a 6500. 00 interest balance from where I was allowed to put 3 car payments on the end of the loan not knowing I was paying a interest late fee daily up until that point which was 2 to 3 years. My understanding was you would pay this fee daily if you were late, I didn't know putting the payments at the end of the loan would be considered late. It's not reported to the credit bureau as being late. So when the loan matured and was completed the company now says I have 90 days to pay 6500. 00. The first 30 days that it was not paid completely they reported to the credit bureau that I was 30 days late. I paid because I didn't want to tarnish my credit. I used the portal for their payments and the dashboard says I owed 6500 and some change. This is the large interest payment that was said I needed to pay immediately. I paid and was waiting on my title. I get an email saying I owe 217.00 more. When I say shady. This is the worst company ever. I have tried to call to speak with a manager and can never speak with one. Any other time they blowing your phone up if your late with a payment. I had just gotten over it and took the money out of my retirement to just get it done because I didn't want them to destroy my credit and now they still saying I owe. Where did the 217.00 come from? Everything I owed should have been indicated on that dash board as the final payment because I no longer have a loan, it's matured. Do not use this financial institution. They are very shady and basically are hidden loan sharks. Be aware.

I originally financed my car through Bridgecrest and making my payments online was easy and straightforward enough. The complete breakdown of my respect for this company came when I refinanced my car through a different company. I ended up over paying and was due a refund on top of a refund from the gap insurance I over paid on (approximately $1000 total). They sent the over payment check to the wrong address twice even though I had corrected it after the first time. Then they did not send it to my address the second time but instead sent it to a Walgreens without telling me until a week later which by that time had already been sent back. This is my third time trying to request my refund and it's already been more than two months of nonsense. As far as the gap insurance refund that I'm entitled to, they are currently running me through the ringer telling me that they applied it to my principle (which they haven't) and that I'm not actually entitled to that money. This company and the people who work here are con artists and I regret ever doing business with them. Find a different company to handle your financial needs, these people will steal your money.

I bought a car through Carvana in April 2021 and financed via Bridgecrest. As a responsible customer, I purchased the GAP coverage and extended service warranty and paid in full for both at the time of purchase. I refinanced my auto loan in December 2021 via a different lender and thus was owed a refund of the extended service warranty and GAP coverage that I purchased. It is now March 2022 and I still haven't been refunded my money. I've called and spoke with almost every person on their customer relations team, to just be told that a check was mailed, but it reality it hadn't been. I call the next week and a new rep tells me there was a mistake and it will be mailed out the next week. I was a responsible client of Bridgecrest, making all of my payments on time. There's absolutely no reason why anyone should have to wait 3 months for money that is owed to them. My car buying experience was wonderful at Carvana, but I will not dare purchase from them again, solely because they are in partnership with such a deceitful company.

Tip for consumers:
Go elsewhere to buy a car. Carvana and Drivetime both use Bridgecrest and there are so many lawsuits against them, it's crazy that they're still in business. They have been found to purposely report inaccuracies on people's credit and they are known to basically steal money from people, as they've done to me.

IF...IF i COULD give them 0.001 rating times negative 10 I WOULD! They are horrible. They are basically a predatory second rate lender. They were the ONLY lender that was available through the company I bought my car from (Carvana). They tell you one thing for the interest rate, but after all of their processing or whatever the interest rate I was financed at was higher than what I originally saw. The company are loan-sharks basically and they harass the (bleep) out of a person on day one after the due date IF you didn't make your payment. They don't offer a grace-period and then the daily accrual of interest is violating to my soul, it should be a crime how they take advantage of buyers. I have bought cars in the past and I never, ever had any problem with the other lenders EVER! If I was late making a payment, there was a grace period and they never bamboozled me and roped me in to a web of deception as Bridgecrest has. I regretfully purchased my car through Carvana during the height of COVID because there were limited dealerships open or cars available that I preferred and I badly needed a car at that time. I believe too that Carvana / Bridgecrest know that the vehicles that they handle/finance are overpriced and there is less likelihood that the car could get refinanced ( at least in my case). I was told the car's value is not worth the refi. My car's value is only 8K and I still owe 14K on it. I got ripped off both ways and I feel like they bent me over and... (shaking my head in disgust). Take this as a warning if you are even thinking about using Bridgecrest for financing...DON'T DO IT!

Not only is Bridgecrest a predatory lending company taking advantage of people with less than perfect credit with high interests rates, but their also one of the most nastiest companies I've dealt with during this pandemic. I've had a car for nearly 3.5 years, have fallen behind on payments in my past but not often. During those times Bridgecrest seemed to be understanding and we worked out arrangements that got me back on track. But low and behold, in the middle of Covid I'm getting these emails anytime my due date is near threatening to ruin my credit with late payments notices if I don't pay by such and such a date. MY question is why now? In the midst of a pandemic, why is Bridgecrest trying to harm the clients credit by sending bullying emails to ruin your credit when they've never done this before. No consideration for what issues customers are facing during this time such as job loss. I was laid off for two months and didn't receive unemployment until a month at least after being sent home. I still have not received all benefits I was due. I spoke with Bridgecrest about this, they pretended to be understanding and still placed a negative reporting on my credit that I'm trying to dispute. Why is Bridgecrest being so heartless at a time like this? Is it because I have less than a year before the car is paid in full? I will never reccomend this company to anyone I know bc this behavoir on top of their high interest rates are disgusting. Will never do business with them again!

A MONTH AFTER THAT, THEY'VE REPOSSESED THE CAR AND REFUSED TO LET ME GET MY BELONGINGS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE STRESS THAT BRIDGECREST PLACED UPON MY FATHER IS HOW HE SUCCOMED TO A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK NOW I'M FEELING THE STRESS THAT HE ENDURED FROM THIS COMPANY. I've honestly never had an issue with this company, likely because I set up autopay and pay monthly. They don't need to harass me because I'm never in arrears. (Although I do hate the fact that I have this ghetto company as a creditor on my credit report-- my scores are in the mid-high 700's across the board, and my APR is 4%. It's embarrassing because I'm not a subprime customer.) I wish Carvana had a different finance company for better-qualified buyers. Also, I bought a little one-owner Japanese subcompact with 20K miles on it, not some douchey muscle car or GM garbagemobile with 110K and six previous owners. For the people complaining about their $#*!cars breaking down, don't blame the finance company! Don't buy a car based on how it looks and/or the color. Take it to a mechanic within the 7-day window for an inspection-- don't take Carvana's word for it, they just want to sell the car. Do your research and make informed choices.

If you have a choice DO NOT FINANCE WITH BRIDGECREST. You will be paying for your vehicle twice through them. My loan was only 19k, somehow they're wanting 38k total after finance charges. My credit is above 700. Please do not get scammed like I did.

This company is so terrible. The people giving this any more than one star are a fluke or friends with someone that works there. We've gotten two cars with carvana and haven't missed a payment in years. We called to defer ONE payment during the pandemic and whoever I spoke with was so trashy and rude and couldn't do a thing to help me. I called back the next day and got someone else who got the bulk of my wrath and was a bit nicer, however, he still couldn't offer any options to help defer ONE payment. I just couldn't believe the nonsense. They asked what I intended to do and I said, well, since you offer me no other choices, I suppose I'll skip this payment on my own and pay the next payment as planned. They tried to go into how my cars could get repoed. They're worth about half of what we owe on them I'd like to see them try- like I give a@&)?! Anyway, now fast forward to now, I've skipped a month as I said I would and paid the next month as promised, and I've been getting calls from bridge crest SEVERAL TIMES A DAY, sometimes SEVERAL TIMES AN HOUR... like what in the heck?! The amount of money they're paying these people to call everyone fifty tikes a day could be saved by just deferring our darn car payments one month! For Christ sake this is the worst thing I've ever experienced. I was spreading the word about carvana for years now and planned to get every subsequent car we plan to buy from them and something as simple as this has turned that around. Never again. This company sucks. Over one month though! INSANE.

THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL. DO NOT GET A LOAN THRU THEM. IF YOU DO, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY TO GET A LOAN AND PAY THIS PEOPLE OFF AND NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. BELIEVE ME. YOU'LL SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HEADACHES IF YOU CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. THEY ARE UNABLE TO PROPERLY APPLY PAYMENTS TO THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF THE LOAN. THEY SAY THEY WILL BUT THEY DO NOT. PLEASE RETAIN ALL YOUR PAPERWORK FOR THE LEGAL ACTIONS YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE AGAINST THEM. YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TO STOP THESE PEOPLE FROM OPERATING SUCH A SHAGY BUSINESS. YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER FILING A COMPLAINT TO CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SAVE YOUR INFORMATION FOR THE LAWSUIT YOU WILL FILE.

DO NOT GET A CAR WITH THEM, they took my car in the middle of the night while I was at a diner with my autistic son leaving me stranded but I had made the car PAYMENT 3 HOURS BEFORE they took the car. They then told me that I had to pay $14,000 to get the car back even tho the payment was up to date otherwise it was going back to drivetime and would resell the car. This whole company is definitely a scam and they flip cars. DO NOT FALL FOR IT YOU WILL 100% REGRET IT THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER

If there was a zero star I would. My car was considered a total loss and boy this is the worst thing I could ever go through. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy! So basically the insurance wants to take my "95% damaged"car (which its not that bad the DOOR is the only thing damaged)and pay bridgecrest half of what my remaining balance of the loan is which is $******* so that leaves me with $6000 to pay off. My insurance said they would let me drop the claim but it would be best if I contacted bridgecrest first. I call them and asked if I could drop the claim and they said no! BTW my car can be FIXED! If I was to drop the claim they would repo my car and still make me pay payments for the full $******* how is this even legal? Now I am about to be out of a car and still have to make car payments. Like I thought life was hard and I was depressed before but now this is unbearable if your reading this I pray its before you get yourself in a loan with these people its not worth it please don't do it!

I called Bridgecrest and I told them that at the beginning that I have some speech disabilities. From start to finish unprofessional and disrespectful employees and manager. They treated me very badly on the phone because of my speech problem. They did not listen and they were very impatient with me.

I have been a good on-time paying customer. I called because I had missed one payment but they reported it to the credit agencies immediately although I had called them to let them know that I was going to be late because of the COVID 19 situation.

I made a double payment the next month but they would not go back to the credit agencies and change the status. These people working here have no heart, they don't care about the extremely difficult situation people are in. I hope that Karma one day will hit them back.

They have zero, really zero customer service! They also will overcharge you, please check your account on regular bases and be forceful in order to get it fixed. The people working here are crooks. I felt like the employees have no training whatsoever or maybe they are plain untrainable. Ultimately, I'm making the management responsible for hiring these clearly incompetent people who are working as customer service reps. I had also the unfortunate pleasure to talk to the manager. He was even worse than the employees, I had no idea that it was even possible being even more unprofessional and unfriendly than his employees.

Future customers (not yet victims) AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST, save yourself the headache!

I was looking for an honest review when i fell on hard times and bridgecrest/carvana was my only option to finance a car. To begin, I take responsibility for my poor credit score and financial choices and was grateful to get financed. After reading the comments about bridgecrest following the purchase of my vehicle, I was terrified to say the least. I knew my payments and APR would be high, but was praying that the customer service wasn't as bad as the reviews reflected. I am happy to say, my experience was lovely with bridgecrest. They called to welcome me, gave honest information about grace periods. I put my head down and set up autopay for 9 months and never heard a word from them. I was able to re-finance at that time and THEY congratulated me over the phone! They submitted and released everything as promised, cut me a check for overpaying. If you are truly in the head space for working in your credit to the point of sacrificing things you may want for paying a bill on time, budgeting, and saving for additional costs that may be out of your control, you will be fine at Bridgecrest. It's a hard and expensive lesson to learn the importance of maintaining financial responsibility, but I've had nothing but lovely encounters from bridgecrest staff!

Got stuck with these punks because they purchased my loan. EVERY SINGLE MONTH they send my statement/payment voucher/envelope LATE and changed the timing of my payment. TI receive it only or around the 12th, and they say my payment is late beginning the 8th! After many months of asking for the stuff sooner, calling several times to try and fix the problem, they not only do not FIX THE PROBLEM, but make a FALSE CLAIM to CREDIT BUREAUS saying my payment was late. EVERY SINGLE MONTH I have to wait, they put LATE CHARGES also. ON TOP of that, they told the credit companies I was 30 days late, which has never been the case even with their shoddy logistics. Called several times, wrote several times, NO HELP and NO CHANGE, and all this through COVID! BEWARE of dealing with these clowns, and if anybody wants to file suit against them I AM WITH YOU.
