This company does not typically respond to reviews
Although I've read a lot of negative reviews about Bridgecrest, my experience has been great. For the time I had Bridgecrest, I never experienced any negative issues at all. I always kept my loan current and never heard from them unless I called regarding questions I had. They were always friendly and more than willing to help me. I did refinance with another lender only because I found a better rate. Paying off the loan went smoothly. It comes down to this, keep your loan current and you won't have to deal with anyone from Bridgecrest unless you call with questions.
Worst possible company to deal with. They have no managers allowed to assist you, leaving you to a "customer relations" line that can't do much of anything. It took weeks of calls in order to get money back that was owed to me after my insurance gave them a full payouts. They actively are rude and uncommunicative. I would avoid this company at all costs.
I bought a 2018 Dodge Journey in July of 2022. I knew I was rebuilding my credit and expected high interest rates. It wasn't a surprise. However, my down payment was only $300.00 with payments of $620.00 a month. This was doable for me so I did it. Fast forward to January of 2023. The car was total through no fault of my own. I kept insurance the whole time and never was late on my payments and never deferred any payments. My insurance deemed it a total loss on the 27th of January and gap company through Drivetime (Ally) sent the payment on the 23rd of February. My only complaint with Bridgcrest is that they won't finance me for another car after 8 months of perfect payment history due to there being a small balance owed while waiting on the gap insurance check to hit my account. Customer service was hit or miss. Most of the time it was good. But sometimes, I had to escalate it to a higher level just to get a simple question answered. Long story short, if you have to rebuild your credit, it's worth going with Bridgcrest and then refinancing after a year. I would recommend them to anyone with the advice of making sure your payments are auto drafted from your bank account so that you are never late.4 starts for the hit or miss customer service, but don't be afraid to escelate it in a polite manner and they will try to resolve your issue and get you the answers you are seeking.
I am a dialysis patient and went to Drive Time to get a car. I never knew Drive Time was owned by Bridgecrest. In June I had a procedure done and needed to deferr a payment which was granted. 2 months later I actually recieved a kidney transplant. I called to deferr another pay because I would not be working. They denied my request sayingvthat the only let people with 3 months behind on payment use deferment. Thats not true or I wouldn't have gotten the first deferment. When I complained to the BBB, I received a call from Bridgecrest and the guy left a message but deliberately omitted one of the numbers for me to call them back. I went through 10 people who would not allow me to speak to the guy in charged saying he was busy or will contact me again. When I received a message from the BBB, Bridgecrest told them that they contacted me several times and I never would talked to them which was a all out lie. I have never seen a company that was so underhanded and unprofessional. I will never recommend anyone to use this company or go through Drive Time to purchase a vehicle.

Bridgecrest is an awesome lender. I switched jobs and missed a few payments and they worked with me and were patient while I got back on track! Best customer service. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
My sister passed away in 5/2022. Prior to her death she told me she had paid off her car and showed me the title Bridgecrest sent her. As the executor of her estate I was unable to find the title among her things so I contacted bridgecrest to request a release of lien. I called the customer service number several times before reaching anyone. When I finally reached someone, I was told I needed to speak to someone in the title department. When I finally reached them, they told me to submit a copy of my sister's will and death certificate which I did promptly. When I informed them that they had already sent her a title because she had made her final payment, the customer service person indicated that they had no record of that in spite of me telling him that my sister had shown me the title when she received it. Additionally, the customer service person pretended to not know what a release of lien was. I was told that someone would call me back when they received the death certificate and will via email. When asked If i could send it registered mail because I was becoming suspicious by now I was hung up on. After sending the documents via email no one ever called me back in spite of me leaving numerous messages. After several months I reached out to the title department again and they claimed to have never received the documents even though I had an email receipt indicating that they received and opened the document. When I informed them of the receipts, they hung up on me, It has been over a year and I still have heard anything from them which leaves me in limbo because I am unable to purchase a tag for the vehicle or get the title transferred to the estate even though I am the executor of my sister's estate.
I bought a vehicle (2018 Wrangler Unlimited) from Carvana. The buying process was easy from Carvana... HOWEVER, the financing from BRIDGECREST has been a total nightmare. They gave me the wrong address to send payment to... first payment sent to Az, then it never got there (apparently) because it was to be sent to lA, CA. They were to refund the $30 for stop payment. Never happened. Then I traded that in and the Jeep dealership sent payoff on 4/4. Never posted. I was getting collection calls, threats, and then email that I would be sent to collection. I sent tracking number, copy of check to Bridgecrest. Still never posted. Then they came up with $130 interest... the dealership paid that... I sent tracking number and copy of check... this all went to Mesa, Az. After this lengthy ridiculous not posting scenario, threatening collection calls, emails that I will be reported to Credit Bureau, they did post these checks on 5/14/21.
This organization is not ethical. The collectors were threatening and I didn't even have the vehicle. No one can transfer you to Mesa, Az accounting department to talk to, anyone. They have to send an email. I requested a call back from accounting department... never happened. So basically, I have been a wreck with phone calls from Bridgecrest for collection, threats to ruin my credit... and this way too long to post a payoff. MY SUGGESTION... if you choose to use CARVANA, do not allow them to finance through Bridgecrest. Their practices are unethical, their "customer service" people are generally rude, and do listen. I doubt any accurate phone calls were even posted or recorded. My credit is good. I allowed this finance company due to the pandemic, needing a newer vehicle (front line nurse... no choice but to be at work) and no hassle... which Carvana provided initially... Bridgecrest... no. I should sue them for causing undue stress. Believe me, I've had enough stress through this COVID-19 pandemic.

Just financing
I was debited twice for my monthly payment. Now I have to wait three weeks to receive my money. Their customer service is very slow and disrespectful
Tip for consumers:
Improve costumer service and process to refund money back
They took a double payment from me and refused to return the second payment after they sold me a car that has issues within 2 weeks of having it.
With the number of employees out of work you think they would defer a payment but they won't. Record year for repossessions on the way.
Dont get CARVANA,... DONT GET BRIDGECREST... I want to send extra payment only for the principal so I can finish before... NO OPTION I HAVE TO CALL THEM... with a "small fee"...
This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are a bunch of liars. Every time I call they tell me a different story.
Why even agree on a date for your car payment to be withdrawal if they going to pull when they want to anyway
Customer service is absolute $#*!. I had a vehicle financed through Bridgcrest that was totaled recently. Every single time I contacted them for info that I needed to file a gap claim, they constantly told me that they didn't have that info and that I was supposed to get it from other company(insurance/dealership/gap company). I had to be a $#*! and demand to speak to a manager, then all of the sudden I got what I needed. They sent me on a wild goose chase back and forth between 4 different companies including some other company that the extended warranty was through. I have worked with multiple lienholders before and this company is by far the worst to deal with. This is the ONLY lienholder I have felt the urge to go out of my way to leave a horrible review for how $#*!ty of service they give. If I knew this is what I would have had to deal with when purchasing my Durango, I would've just bought a different vehicle somewhere else from a different dealership. The dealership I bought from was carvana.com. The customer service at carvana was great but they use bridgcrest for a lot of their loans so I definitely wouldn't recommend buying from them unless you can choose which lienholder to use. Seriously, $#*! bridgcrest and every employee that works there. They are all asshats that dont give 2 $#*!s about helping any of their customers.
I'm over paying right now and these people are still f@%king me over its ridiculous like what the hell are these people doing!
Terrible company stole $396 from me! They will not pay me back without a statement from my bank saying they took my money!
Bridgecrest charge to much interest on cars and drive time sell horrible cars. I will never buy another car from drive time and use bridgecrest

My wife and I have a car through carvana/ Bridgecrest we just got into a new home and in order to get into that new home we had to pay off both of our cars when I received the title to my car it was completely clean and clear I was the main person on the title when we received my wife's title it came back with all kinds of paperwork and documentation that the car had been paid in full the contract was null null and void and that carvana / Bridgecrest was still the lienholder I contacted the company asked what they could do they told me I had to go to the DMV and get it changed to spend my own money to do this spend my time to do the contact another person they said that they would take care of it but they might have an issue received a letter in the mail stating that the car has been paid in full that there is no longer a lien on the car but yet they will not do anything to fix the title I will continue to write bad reviews about Bridgecrest until this is dealt with correctly I should not have to lift a finger to do anything to get my title clean and clear this should have been dealt with correctly by Bridgecrest not by me
This is a direct honest view of Bridgecrest.
1. Avoid if possible.
2. Be prepared to pay ridiculous interest
3. Expect questionable customer service
4. Expect non existent updates between thier accounting department and main office.
After a rather messy divorce, my credit was in the gutter.
I had lost everything, my ex destroyed my credit by using my identity to get credit cards, and the courts were as equally dismissive by giving me all the debt even though I had solid evidence that it was my ex not I racking up debt.
I had to find a vehicle quickly.
I had to go to drive time.
Right off the bat I knew there was going to taken advantage of.
Bridgecrest ( drivetime) made absolutely sure I DIDN'T get what I needed.
I kept a perfect payment record for two years.
During that time I got back on my feet and called for a pay off.
I was shocked to find out that the 14 k vehicle I was paying at the amount of 500 a month. Had a pay off of $13,675.
Heres the math. 500 per month for 24 months equals 12k
How in the hell do I owe 13+k if bridgecrest has 12k?
So, I did what any person would do.
I traded in my vehicle at a major dealership. Got a trade in value
Of 11,500 of the bridgecrest car. Negotiated additional terms with my new dealership, drove off with a 2018 vehicle at 6% interest.
Bridgecrest received a pay off. But refuse to update thier records.
I've had 2 repo trucking companies come to my home looking for a vehicle that bridgecrest KNOWS is at a dealership.
Now they are attacking my credit. EVEN THOUGH I have sent documents repeatedly proving 1. Thier vehicle is free and clear at my end.
2. I am not in possession.
Yet, Bridgecrest continues to harrass me.
My Bridgecrest experience was like playing Russian roulette.
The sufficed at the moment but got worse as time progressed.
I paid all the payments but because 4 payments were extended they say i owe 1400 dollors more after the loan had matured
Buyer Beware, WHAT A RIP.! This company preys on people with BAD or NO credit and just RIPS them off. Like the Financial housing bubble in 2008 with the banks.
You might get a crappy car but you'll pay forever. Their business practices are based on ripping as much money out of you as possible and fulfilling THEIR American Dream. You might be better off to go to a corner Title Loan Company.
I tried to pay off a loan and they make it so difficult and charged so many fee's and sent me in various directions to pay. I was sent to Walmart with 10K in Cash and they ( WALMART) were so confused I left. Then they gave me the option of paying by CC but only 3K at a time with a 3$ fee. ( They gotta RIP you for the interest) I asked for a TOTAL payoff number which they gave me and I sent a Cashiers Check ( make sure it's registered mail) and then got a call that the amount DID NOT include interest, so they dinged me for another 1000. 00$ before I could get the title. I guess they don't understand what TOTAL payoff means.
The customer service department should be called the Moron's in Customer Service Department, a bunch of idiots reading from a designed script designed to send you in circles.
Very Very BAD company to do business with... BUYER BEWARE!
I purchased an audi q8 prestige from carvana which uses bridgecrest for financing. Ive had the car for a year now and own my own business. I called them to let them know i was going to be 7 days late for the first time since having the loan. Then proceeded to tell me that instead of my normal payment of 1,262 a month that i would now be paying more interest that would accumulate to 2,436 dollars i then said to the customer service woman that math doesnt make any sense and i would like to speak with a manager. She "why" i said does it matter i want to speak with a manager she proceed to say "i can transfer you to another department" so this back and forth goes on for over 20 min of me simply asking to speak with a manager to get to the bottom of this becuase nothing she was saying was making any sense. She finally connects with a manager who proceeds to tell me that the previous woman i spoke with was completely incorrect and what she said was basically a fat lie. Then i said i wanted to file a complaint and the manager told me he would speak with her long story short didnt let me file a complaint.
On top of all of this when i checked the remaining balance of my loan nothing has gone down ive paid well over 15k into the loan. When i asked them about this they were not able to give me any information. That seems to be the common denominator with them. No body knows whats going on and no body is able to answer any questions. You have to fight tooth and nail to get a manager to assist you with anything. If you have other financing option go with those DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Now im seeking legal representation to get rid of this car loan and get a new car with a differrent bank. Very shady and illegal tactics they also have multiple class action lawsuits agianst them and bridgecrest has lost the majority of the suits.
Don't even try to get help from customer service. They will transfer you from agent to agent and get nothing resolved. I moved from Colorado to Kansas and in order to get my vehicle registered in Kansas, they need a copy of the title from Bridgecrest. They received the request letter from my county at the beginning of December. My Bridgecrest account shows they "sent the DMV" the title on December 22nd. I was told it will take 3-5 business days and it is now January 14th and my county still has not received it. My account does not state where they sent it, or how it was sent. One agent told me they faxed it and when I asked what fax number they sent it to (because the letter indicates an address to MAIL IT, but does NOT include any sort of fax number) she placed me on hold for ten minutes and then a different agent answered. Another agent said she was going to place me on hold to contact the "title department". I was on hold for 15 minutes and then another agent answered. That agent told me they are not even able to contact the title department nor does it indicate in my account that anything was faxed. It just says it was "sent", but doesn't say how or where. This agent begins to tell me it will take 6-8 weeks, yet he didn't understand that if it was sent on December 22nd (per the notes on my account) why my county hasn't received it yet. It doesn't take 6-8 weeks for delivery even with the slowest of options being regular mail. I also sent a correspondence to them via email inquiring about this, to which I have yet to receive any sort of response. When I ask the agents how I am supposed to know if the title was sent to the right address and/or if anything is being done about this, they said all I can do is wait. Meanwhile, I am not able to legally drive my vehicle because it's not registered.
Theyre ok when you have to settle because of situations where maybe you were unable to build credit for a while. Once I was diagnosed with cancer I couldn't work even after I beat it. Due to obvious reasons such as the after effects body being worn down immune system shot etc etc. well I only had $2500 in debt. So once I could work again I paid that right off. But I also hadn't put anything more on my credit in 10 years. So I settled for Carvana Bridgecrest. I got my car easy. 3 months later I was laid off due to the pandemic. I started to panic. Now LIKE ANOTHER PERSON HAS COMMENTED, YOU NEED TO PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THEM! They don't just magically know your situation and they can't assume it's because of the pandemic. NO! You have to tell them! And that's what I did. I called them right away I was broken up & scared. But the woman on the other line was soooo kind & helpful & understanding. She adjusted my payments to defer one & said "Call me back right away if you need another deferred I WILL HELP YOU!" Thank god I didn't need to. Because of the unemployment pay that finally kicked in. And then not too long after I was finally hired back. But again, AS LONG AS YOU TELL THEM WHAT YOUR STATUS IS, YOU WILL BE OK!
The only complaint I really have is their high interest rate and inability to refinance you for a lower one even after so many on time payments. That's where I recommend using something like credit karma where they will actually find you places to refinance through for a much much much lower interest rate.
Hope this helps.
Tip for consumers:
Be prepared for high interest. And make sure you always keep in touch with them. Use credit karma or something similar to find a better option later on with refinancing to a lower interest rate.
