I have experienced excellent acting, beautiful scenery and wonderful suspense watching Britbox. I look forward to finishing Miss Marple after 12 seasons of Poirot. It will take me years to go through all the great choices and variety of things to watch. The support team was quick and helpful with any problems that arose until I became more familiar navigating the site. Britbox is a wonderful escape from the dreadful news channels and questionable opinions I no longer consider helpful. Thank you from USA.
We first subscribed many years ago when BritBox was first available in Canada. Today we cancelled due to complete frustration with BritBox's inability to provide reliable viewing. We're on fibre, 250mbps, so there's no issue at our end; nor do we have any problems with our other services. BritBox however... We're now in the midst of our third in as many months of the inability to watch BritBox. So far this month we've lost 15% of our viewing days because BritBox refuses to recognise our log-in. Their Chat support is useless and the promised call by their Tech Support folks has yet to happen... now going into day 3.
Watch out- free 7 day trial is a scam! After trying for several days I decided to cancel due to the continual Loading during episodes. Very annoying! Canceled on the 7th day and credit card was still charged for one month service. AcornTV is a much better deal and offers much better service.
Lots of really old Brit tv, which I've already seen. However, lots of shows with no closed captioning which makes me reconsider keeping a subscription. I can't really understand some of the British accents and closed captioning really helps. There are some shows I would like to see but if I can't get closed Captioning, I will let this subscription expire.

Today is 3-22-19 (Friday) & I just found out there are NO episodes for Friday. This has happened before on Coronation St. No explanation if offered by Britbox-just no episodes. Customer service has no answer about this.
Why can't Britbox send a message across the screen when they are NOT broadcasting a current episode of Corontion St? I can get this on HULU also with my subscription. There is NO special holiday in England today-I have checked.
The complaint I made through my states Consumer Protection bureau worked! I received both a letter from my consumer protection bureau in which they forwarded a letter sent to their agency by Steve Scibelli VP of business and legal affairs at Brit box. They refunded my daughters subscription fee ( as a 1 time favor, of course) even though it goes against their policy. COMPLAIN! Vocally! And use your states Consumer Protection agency.
Hi I am in the USA and was excited to get this streaming app, I really like to watch the British shows. Each show will not automatically advance to the next episode. I could not find this option in the settings. To see the next episode I had to back out and click on the next episode. In order for this to work on my smart TV it was suggested that I subscribed to Prime video or Apple music/video. To many hidden costs. Disappointed. I canceled before my free 7 day subscription ended.
Currently I have both Netflix & BritBox. And I'm so upset with Netflix. My favorite show is "Midsomer Murders." Netflix completed removed all of their seasons and never showed the 21st season at all. BritBox not only gives me access to watch all previous 20 seasons at my leisure but also added all the episodes of the 21st season! I do not have Acorn Tv which does show this latest season. So thank you BritBox! Never had a problem with you at all! I'm hoping to go to a "Midsomer Murder" tour in London soon. As a suggestion, I do wish that you add more classic shows like "Mr. Bean" skits from Rowan Atkinson for example. Still enjoying "Keeping Up Appearances," "Shettland," "Wallander," & more. Thanks again!
Decent selection but could use more contemporary shows. The black background on the subtitling needs to go. But my biggest beef is with the quality of the streaming. While it sometimes looks good, much of the time is dealing with a stuttering image, digital artifacts and loss of signal. Perhaps this is a result of growing pains but I don't think this company is really concentrating on image quality at this point. Britbox will need to do something soon. With the improvements in 4K UHD TV's and with superior competing streaming services that provide top notch images, this company is not quite ready for prime time.
I have been unable to log-on to Brit Box for several months. I sent a lot of time online and got no satisfaction. I have hadenoug and want to cancel my subscription. I tried forover an hour today trying to ge hold of some to help. As usual, no luck. Call Me *******643. Thank You.
I registered for BB in Sept. When I received my charge card bill in Oct. I found that I was being billed for two subscriptions. Called BB to have one canceled. One week later I can't access BB at all but I'm still being billed for 2 subscriptions. I called BB a minimum of 6 times to have this corrected and was told, every time, that my issue would be "elevated to the next level" and I would hear back, via email. It is now mid January and I have not heard a word. On my last call to BB I was able to gain access and watch it which is nice but I would like a refund for the months I was being billed but had no access. I suppose that isn't going to happen. I would never recommend BB to anyone, truly. I understand mistakes, glitches, confusion, etc., etc., but don't understand a complete disregard for a customer. Terrible, terrible service.
There are a lot of programmes not available on Britbox due to licensing issues. They have the classic Only Fools and Horses but I would only recommend a free trial and cancel before the 30 days. There is a severe lack of programmes they only have mainstream programmes, which is disappointing as some programmes which got less views when aired on bbc are not available. For example Green Green Grass the after story of Boycie and Marlene when they leave Peckham for Shropshire in fear of the Driscoll brothers. Which I would love to watch to be perfectly honest!
Tip for consumers:
I wouldn’t bother they only have mainstream shows this is highly disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend talking to customer service as all they say is there are licensing issues for programmes which there shouldn’t be.

We enjoy watching britbox and they have some of our favorite shows, but what is going on with them. You pay for britbox and then if you want to contiue to watch your favorite program, you then again have to pay again to continue to watch them! Are we the only ones that think this practice is totally unfair? Talk about double dipping!
I would give them a higher star but to pay again when you pay upfront for the service is totally unfair.
I love love love Britbox and the customer service peeps are great. That said when I called them I had to listen to this terrible British Accent before I was put through. It was so cringeworthy now every time my Britbox continually buffers or something goes wrong I just uninstall and reinstall the app. I will do anything not to have to hear that voice.
That said compared to something like Acorn there is so much more to choose from for a dollar difference. Keep up the good work, I love all the shows.
Tip for consumers:
You will become addicted. Watch responsibly.

Dear BritBox
I could be a repeat customer but your many of your series aren't up to date. For example Shakespeare and Hath. Series 3 has been out 1yr but it's not on BritBox. Gogglebox would be nice to see also. Just saying I could do with some updates.
Thanks

I've never had an app make me sign in almost every time I turn it on it's ridiculous it's not that cheap and they make you go to flaming hoops every time you want to watch it I'm definitely not renewing it again after my subscription and it's totally not worth it
They really need to fix this problem if they wanna keep their subscribers it's ridiculous
Be very very careful when you sign-up for the free trial, as they take your details from credit/debut card and when you cancel it, they just keep taking your money every month? They have done this to me for the last severn months and when i phoned them they said i had two accounts which i find strange all they will give me back is two months money, which i find disgesting so be very careful?
I was completely satisfied with my subscription until suddenly unable to view on my second TV.
Contacted customer support that was unable to resolve issue and passed me off to other customer service.
Still not resolution.
Canceled subscription due to lack of customer service.
This company is terrible
They take your money and then dont provide the service!
The CS is terrible too. Had to call back several times to try and get my service going and the CS rep had an attitude like she didnt even want to help
I signed up the britbox for 30-day free trial and thank God I can cancel it which I did straight away. There's nothing much to watch other what I've already seen on Netflix BBC iPlayer and ITV hub over and over again. I've already paid for a TV licence why should I pay again to watch BBC content? I can't even cast the content from my mobile go to my smart TV. I spoke to customer services and they told me that content is not available to cast/mirror at this moment but maybe in the future. Waste of time and useless.
I have enjoyed the content very much. I have trouble when Im in the middle of watching a show and it kicks out completely. When I go back to re load it isnt in my continue watching, so I have to go find it again. Please fix this issue, Im not the only one with this problem.
Initially signing into BritBox had a problem via tv and codes
I've from to love britbox, ANYONE who likes British drama there is a
Myriad of options. British TV is the best. Don't give up within the trial period as it is well worth the subscription.
PleSe don't be put off by the free trial people
Hurrah- no more waiting for PBS. Many of my favorite Britcoms and mysteries with full episodes and complete seasons in correct sequence. There seems to be alot of sour grapes from the previous reviewers. Britbox is NOT a scam and NOT a rip-off. I have been able to access all of the shows with no problem and I have never been asked to provide additional $ other than my monthly subscription. Britbox keeps track of the shows I watch and I am able to easily resume episodes. Britbox offers a trial period and you can cancel anytime, so I don't understand why these folks are complaining. Keep up the good work Britbox- you have a United States subsciber for life!
Signed up for a trial and wanted to switch to over to the Amazon version so I could use devices. They signed me up for full service before the trial was up and I have been unable to get in touch with anyone for 6 weeks to get the issue resolved! Total ripoff.
A problem with britbox is that they haven't worked out a reasonable system with acorn. For example, Britbox offers season 1through 4 and 6 or "Line of Duty", while acorn offers season 1-5 of the same series. In order to watch the series, you must subscribe to both or miss part of the series.
Casts perfectly on Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra setups I have on 3 older and newer Sony Bravia TVs. I am thrilled with Britbox content and the vivid display I am getting on 5G.
Almost didn't subscribe due to all the negative reviews and decided to find out for myself. So glad I did! Buffering? What buffering?
BBC/ITV certainly do not enhance their respective reputations with the release of this service. As per other reviews - no subtitles, one can not airplay from a Mac iPad to TV/Large Screen, no individual App that appears on either Amazon Prime nor Netflix that can be set for routine login. But instead login via Internet Browser.
No, for a monthly sub expect far more than this especially as a lot of the content can be viewed on Catch Up TV. Considering the excellence of the BBC in both program product and content not only substandard but embarrassing.
