“Five dollar or less letter openers”

I have bought a lot of various knives/daggers from BUDK. I call them letter openers because I would never trust my life with a five dollar blade. However the blades I have received have all been as advertised and make me wonder how they would perform under stress. But for five bucks, they work fine for opening letters and packages - cutting string and such. Filled several drawers with 30 or so blades, so I am ready for the zombies. I don't see how they make a profit selling at such low prices.

“Missing screws and no blade”

Sitting here with my cousin and his order of (4) bushmaster OTF knives was delivered. All (4) are gifts for family members and are identical. One knife is missing (2) screws and another knife is missing the blade. Shipping took (5) days. My cousin just got off the phone with BudK customer service and has to wait 3 days for a return shipping label then wait for them to receive the bad products they sent him and another 5 days to see if they send him what he originally ordered. All the while not offering him any compensation. This company is a bad business! Please take heed to this company before deciding to order from here.

Great site & prices, especially on sale items. However, Fedex "Smartpost" lies about the delivery date and changes it all the time, causing havoc on scheduling. It was the free shipping option I was offered, and it took 9 days for my package to arrive to NY from GA. The way it works is Fedex transfers the package to USPS once it is close to the recipient, but USPS has terrible customer service. UPS is worse in terms of handling packages, so it really is picking the lesser of three evils. The standard shipping methods are pressumably better & I've been a customer for years so, 4.5 stars. Love the catalogues given with orders.

Very happy with our order we always are happy with budk. Everything that we have gotten in the past until now we are very pleased with and will keep on ordering from budk. If anyone has not tried budk I think you should I know you will be very happy with them.

Recently ordered and the confirmation email I received AFTER paying was $5 higher. I was told it was an engraving charge. Fine, except my invoice never mentioned anything. The invoice I paid from.
I will never buy from them again.

I purchased ammo. I usually dont buy ammo on line because even if its on sale, its usually not a bargain because of shipping. Budk had a promotion with free shipping and it was on sale. Very happy, will shop again when there is free shipping

We placed an order for some nice coffee mugs that were to be Christmas presents. Our confirmation notice that the order had been received gave a delivery date closer to New Year. I contacted Customer Service and explained the problem -- they sprang into action and I had the mugs two days later - and in time for Christmas. We couldn't be happier with the mugs or the service!

I always get what I order and it is exactly as they advertise it. I was not sure if my one order had shipped yet and I emailed them and had a quick and informative reply. I would highly recommend them to everybody.

Ordered the Union Officers hat for a display and ordered the Confederate Officers hat on a whim. The hats are size Large/Xtra Large. Called Bud-K and was told that is the only size they come in, there are no other sizes. Bud-K does not state this in the catalog. The return label provided for returns and refunds is not prepaid. The customer pays for the product and shipping and then if the product has to be returned the customer pays again. This company is like playing with razor blades. Your going to get cut!

I purchased a knife and there was a mistake on the engraving. Customer service was a great help. Got a return label to me and a new knife was back to me within a week. It's great to see a vendor take care of customers like this. I'll be a customer for life.

I had an issue on a possible double payment pending in my account for a recent purchase. During the chat the associate advised me to send a screenshot of my statement showing the double deduction. There was no account numbers present but my name and the name of the institution were there as well the last 3 transactions. The email they told me to send it to ended up having the wrong extension! This is what is called a secuirty breach. The email never came back as a failed email meaning someone ended up with that screen shot without my authorization. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they gave me the contact information for their manager who I called 2x and sent 1 email to follow up with a breach in my personal security at the hands of their employee. I never got 1 follow up from them. Needless to say they lost a customer. Sharing this to share how they apparently feel about their customers' legitimate concerns.

Great! The bag is not as big as the pics but for 15.00 and free shipping it was a no brainer. Had to try it out and its just right for a revolver or pistol with mag pockets all over and room for a lot of ammo.

One box was opened at one time before shipping. The knife had no clear plastic wrapper and received it with oil stains on the scales. The other was just fine and came sealed in the box with a plastic wrapper.

This is our first order with BUDK. We received our order promptly and everything including the 2 Trailblazer Brass Compasses were well protected for shipment. Husband loves his new Flat Top Vietnam Veteran cap as well as the great prices and quality for all items ordered. Very pleased!

Do not fall for this BS! I purchased a $20 sword Mystery Box (actually a pair--seemed like an even better deal at $15 each) and just received the shipment yesterday. "Three times the value" my a**! What I received was a Shadow Tactical (https://www.budk.com/Shadow-Tactical-Tanto-Sword-And-Sheath-3Cr13-Stain-*******) which is listed AT $19.99 and a Red Guardian (https://www.budk.com/Red-Guardian-Ninja-Sword-and-Kunai-Throwing-Knife-Set-with-Sheath-*******) which was listed at $24.99... so in BudK's Bizarro math apparently three times 40 equals... 45. Go back to 6th grade, guys.

This is obviously their way of offloading cheap stuff that isn't moving--especially when demanding a return would end up costing the buyer as much in shipping as just eating the purchase as a mistake. But rest assured I am never buying anything from BudK again when it is available elsewhere like Amazon or Kult of Athena--they've lost a customer of 35 years with these shenanigans.

I ordered 3 items from BUDK. 2 arrived in a non descript shipping box. No problems there. However 1 item arrived in its original packaging and not a shipping box. This item was meant as a Christmas present and arrived at my house when the person who it was intended for was there. Not only did this completely ruined the surprise, but its also a very costly oversight. I brought this to the attention of BDUK's customer service team and the best they could do was an insincere apology. They weren't in the least bit interested in resolving the situation or making sure it wouldn't happen again. If you are planning buying any gifts for Christmas from here, I would strongly advise shopping elsewhere. Their prices can be matched almost anywhere and most companies I have shopped have better customer service.

The shipping and ordering was fast and really good, however the quality of the product is not very functional. Very cheap and really nothing but a prop,even the Gil Hibbon "made" knife was a waste of money. I would buy disposable knives before anything from Budk again.

The website was great. Loved the fact the order came in quick didn't think the necklace I got was going to be that big but, still liked it. Will shop from them again as long as the catalogs come to my house the one I got from my order got wet and ruined during Christmas...

No free speech on engravings. Not sure what exactly they do and don't allow, I guess it's just at whoever's discretion, so if they don't politically agree with you they just take the money and don't do the engraving. Very skeevy.

I'm very amazed by the specific detailing of the blades you guys sell like the worrior pocket knife for example the Damascus blade was very unique and the back with the samurai in full detail was wicked.

Delivery for the Shield was first and it's a nice shield. Good Quailty, but the packaging was just OK. The boxing had torn places, fortunately there was insulation around the shield that did help.
The helmet packaging was better. The helmet is of good quality.
My brother will be pleased for Christmas.

Obviously ordering Christmas gifts, you expect the knives you receive to be in perfect condition. Half of the knives I received had dings in the blade. So we had to send all of them, not just the affected ones, back for replacement. They better be in time for Christmas!

Got what I ordered quickly and packaged well. The But, is because 5 of the 6 knives opened hard. One knife opened perfectly, two with some effort and three very hard to the point of making your finger sore. I loosed the screw to make less friction on the blade. That helped but now the blade wobbles. The nylon bushings seem to be the problem, not slippery enough. The open assist cant do its job. One handed use in an emergency could be a problem. For the money its a good enough knife. It would be 5 Stars if all 6 knives opened effortlessly. My wife cant open the knife one handed. I am referring to the Ridge Runner Rescue knife. I put a few drops of high quality gun oil on bushing but that didnt help much. Open a CRKT finger knife and see the difference, smooth and easy.
