“Five dollar or less letter openers”

I have bought a lot of various knives/daggers from BUDK. I call them letter openers because I would never trust my life with a five dollar blade. However the blades I have received have all been as advertised and make me wonder how they would perform under stress. But for five bucks, they work fine for opening letters and packages - cutting string and such. Filled several drawers with 30 or so blades, so I am ready for the zombies. I don't see how they make a profit selling at such low prices.

Sitting here with my cousin and his order of (4) bushmaster OTF knives was delivered. All (4) are gifts for family members and are identical. One knife is missing (2) screws and another knife is missing the blade. Shipping took (5) days. My cousin just got off the phone with BudK customer service and has to wait 3 days for a return shipping label then wait for them to receive the bad products they sent him and another 5 days to see if they send him what he originally ordered. All the while not offering him any compensation. This company is a bad business! Please take heed to this company before deciding to order from here.

More hassle than what it's worth. They wouldn't put my online order in until I called and answered a bunch of questions then proceeded to charge me twice in two different amounts for the same product. They have no idea when I'll get my refund.

Bought the giant killer bowie and that thing is Pakistani junk! They claim full tang but it's spot welded at the handle. Super bad work! Tried reaching out to Budk but they are just ignoring my emails now. Don't buy it from them!

Ordered $190.00 in knives. Then received email saying if I did not call customer service to confirm I ordered it, order will be cancelled. When a person orders something why do you have to go thru loop holes to get the product? Cancelled my order and took my business some where else. Ordered from different source get product in 3days.

I've spent thousands on BudK, mainly military gifts for my units, battalions and special occasions, bought a mystery bag for my son for Christmas as I have always done, garbage, checking barcodes, all the knives were listed for $6.98 on the website. Reached out to BudK, no answer.

Ordered from them and they shipped to wrong address. Called customer service and was told I ordered online so they could not help me. Asked to talk to a supervisor and I was told no. The quality of their product is very low, but it was fun and cheap for a little while, but when they mess up and just say oh well you are out of luck. I will never buy from them again

Very pleased with quality of top glass breaker pen. The waist pouch is smaller than envisioned but is useful and compact.

Not only that, got a welcome alert from "Customer Approved" before expected delivery.

Bought a product priced at $9.98, but when they were done ripping me off for an item weighing 2 ounces, my cost was $20.22. Later found the same item on E-bay for 8 bucks and free shipping. Never again...

The only real issue I have is with shipping. I wish you guys would choose another carrier. Fed Ex is not reliable and they just end up passing it off to the post office. I finally got my package after a 3 day delay.

Do not try to return anything, no matter what is wrong with it... Budk customer service is non existent. 3 phone calls to return a item, and nothing ever happens... Will not buy from these people again. Saddest part is the company doesn't care about your business.

I placed an order mid June and it is now nearly the end of July and still have not received any package. On top of that my last package which also took forever to deliver came in a box that looked like a raccoon went through it.

They said say ships within 24-48 business HOURS.
This turns out to mean 3-6 business days before they even ship it, plus another 7-10 more to receive it
This lets you know what kind of company they are. They sound and look good on the surface but that is it.

I received 1/3 of the items I ordered because they were very poorly packaged so they fell out of the box during shipping... Fixing this has been a nightmare.

-So... if you want the stuff for decorations or costumes its pretty good.

-But if you want quality, functional and customer service I would recommend that you keep looking

Their smith clearly doesn't know the importance of cleaning metal and properly heat treating it. After just 2 uses on cheap 2x4 the hammer head broke off. You can see the rusted grain within the head where it tore clean off from. That's a very amateur move on their end. I'm a skinny guy and didn't even use half my strength.

Really know your metal work and how to judge a tool/weapon before buying

I've ordered from BudK ever since my son became a fan of hunting, hiking & trapping. I've only had 1 problem, which began Oct 2014 when I ordered a bow for Christmas. I am disabled & my memory is crap. When I discovered the bow was not under the tree, I called "customer service" to report it. They said "it's been over 60 days, there's nothing we can do for you." I know this is FALSE! The supervisor put in an UPS report, but she "doesn't know if they will accept it", if they do, she will contact me. I feel dismissed& I've disappointed my 12 year old son. BudK didn't lift a finger to help & acted as though me being a customer is an inconvenience. I'm REALLY disappointed in Payton & his supervisor. I've ordered goods for at least 3 years...

They charged me $76 for a product that I never received, then claimed they would refund me. Over a month later, still no refund. Complete scam, avoid if you don't want to literally throw your money away.

NO QC whatsoever. They will ship broken items then want you to ship it back before they send a good one. It's not worth the time to deal with these clowns. Plenty of other online vendors. Do a little research before.

Buy from a competitor is my recommendation. They refused to fulfil my order because I was a new customer. So several days delayed later, when I found this out, I spoke to them on the phone, confirmed everything, and they processed my order, right? No, nearly 3 weeks passed and no items. I emailed their customer service, and they admitted that the person on the phone messed it all up, and I have to re-order (that way we can do this all over again!) Terrible. I have never had this experience in my life, and I buy a lot of stuff. There are other businesses who sell the same or similar items. I will choose them.

Tip for consumers:
Poor customer service. No customer care. Incompetent people, and the cause problems, never tell you, and YOU have to track down the problem. If you don't do your own inquiry, they will never tell you that you are not getting your items purchased.

BUDK is good overall to do business with. I'm having my first experience with a return on a damaged item and it's been over 3 days, since I was told that I'd be e-mailed a return label within 48 hr's.

First off, I never recieved a confirmation email about my purchase. Website says ships within 24 to 48 business hours... yeah right. I've been waiting 2 weeks on a package. Everytime I call they say it's in transit but they don't provide a shipping number. Complained about not getting an email, they said they'd send one and never did. I've given up waiting for it. Will update if it ever comes...

My beautiful Honshu sword came with one of the 2 screws on the handle missing. The sword has 2 screws, and 1 is missing, duh!
I liked the sword, didn't want to make big stink about it, just asked them to send me the missing screw.
That's when BudK started acting like zombie co. They kept insisting that I had to send the sword back for an exchange. A few e-mails and phone calls later I gave up, they'd rather waste everyone's time and their resources on irrational activities, instead of choosing the easiest, cheapest and fastest solution.
Customer disservice, that's what their customer service really is.

I ordered the survival kit ammo crate valued at 140 and I just do not feel I got my moneys worth. The tent they put in there, I can get a better one on amazon for way cheaper! The rest was just little stuff that comes in every survival kit. I ordered this one specifically because everyone said it was so much better. I am not pleased

I placed an order. Did not get confirmation of it. Vontacted them they claimed the order didn't go through. So I replaced my order.and was told the same thing. BUT three days later I ended up with both orders. They are living bastards. Watch out

Be careful when you order from here, they take your order an then only send one item when you order more so you get stuck with higher shipping. They do not have the decency to let you know that something you have ordered is out of stock so you can postpone ordering. The Don't care as long as they make a sale!

Worst customer service ever. While placing an order on the site my address got cut short. Reached out to customer service to see if they can check the address since i fixed a few days later on my account. Nothing got done. No way to track the order and no way to get a refund. They are the type of service that are there to write and email back but not actually do anything. You have been warned
