“Five dollar or less letter openers”

I have bought a lot of various knives/daggers from BUDK. I call them letter openers because I would never trust my life with a five dollar blade. However the blades I have received have all been as advertised and make me wonder how they would perform under stress. But for five bucks, they work fine for opening letters and packages - cutting string and such. Filled several drawers with 30 or so blades, so I am ready for the zombies. I don't see how they make a profit selling at such low prices.

“Missing screws and no blade”

Sitting here with my cousin and his order of (4) bushmaster OTF knives was delivered. All (4) are gifts for family members and are identical. One knife is missing (2) screws and another knife is missing the blade. Shipping took (5) days. My cousin just got off the phone with BudK customer service and has to wait 3 days for a return shipping label then wait for them to receive the bad products they sent him and another 5 days to see if they send him what he originally ordered. All the while not offering him any compensation. This company is a bad business! Please take heed to this company before deciding to order from here.

I purchased a defective knife. The customer service telephone number was supposed to be on the invoice. It was not. I had to go on line to find the number. They sent me a UPS prepaid return sticker. I had to package it and take it to UPS. They did not reimburse for tax, shipping and handling, or package insurance. Bottom line the invoice was $44.36 and they reimbursed $32.30. The customer service ladies were pleasant but policy is policy. I recommend you take your business somewhere else.

The knives are great-they arrived quickly and were even prettier then their picture!
Thank you The only problem was I put in a code for a buy one get one free and free shipping but you billed me for both

I could not be happier! They are everything I hoped they would be. I have difficulty understanding how BudK can sell such beautiful, well made machetes for so little and then send it so quickly and then on top of that, not charge me any shipping! I am, right now ordering two more for friends. Thank you BudK.

I ordered an expensive package and was unable to change my address. I have had not but smoke and mirrors with everyone passing the buck. I refuse to use them again for this reason. Smokey Mountian knives will be getting my business...They wont back thier delivery and tell me to contact ups, ups says contact budk,a vicious circle. Im out alot of money with no help from them

Very hard to get a order through with these guys. Even after spending hours emailing and taking with the agents, your order will still just sit. Then it gets canceled. All after confirming with them. Then they acknowledge they have dead codes. They acknowledge wasting your time. Will they offer to do anything about it? No. Even after my first order I realized how slow and hard it was so I paid for rush shipping. I paid for priority shipping and packing also. Did me no good. So I jumped through all the hoops. Got two emails telling me my order was confirmed. Spoke to agent that said she was noting my account and it was getting packed and shipped. Then days later the same agent just says so sorry we wasted your time. Bye.
Yeah I'm sorry you wasted my time too. Bye.

Most excellent tool love the blade design allows for maximum leverage when chopping excellent for Gathering kindling for fire also good for chopping through catfish heads when cleaning would recommend to anybody especially for the price around $20 you cannot go wrong

Everything I ordered looked better than I expected. They were all sharp. Everything has a sturdy feel, Not flimsy. Only complaint was arrowheads need to be packed better. They were scattered all over box. But they were all there and in good shape still.

Everytime I order I definitely get what I paid for. The customer service lacks alot but the actual goods? They are extraordinary. Keep ordering from here, you may have problems but what place doesn't? The delivery time and such makes me impatient but that doesn't mean it is a terrible place. I will return and buy things from here again.

I placed an order with BUDK received it, item ordered was missing a part so I called customer service took the time and purchased a box to send it back, after a few days got the replacement item back same problem. Contacted customer service via phone and chat for a week and I get the feeling they just giving this lost customer the run arounds. They never sent an email with return label or given me a refund neither after I told them I would return it again. Just a very unpleasant experience I have never experienced with any other place and I order a lot of items on line.

This was my first time ordering from BUDK. I am a satisfied customer and will most likely buy from them again. The item was exactly as described. Price was reasonable. The item was shipped in a timely manner and arrived well-packaged.

I thought that I was getting some great deals on the items that I wanted to purchase. The items arrived broken, after they lost my package and had to reship it. It took more than the standard time frame for the delivery, and they would not credit back the shipping cost that I had paid. All they offered was to have me return the item for a full credit. Really disappointing. I wouldn't suggest ordering from here.

If you don't care about quality and just want some silly, cheap fantasy display, or cheap, fake military replicas for display and don't mind being raped with their ridiculously overpriced shipping "options" then BudK is a great place to shop! But if you want quality, it's a bit harder to find on their site. I am a fan of the Honshu line. I would consider Honshu products as "decent" quality and the few Benchmades that are available to be "high" quality. So you can find good stuff on the site but it's at checkout where I am always let down and pissed off. First, if a promo is available, it's always a "slap in the face" promo, like "$10 off when you spend $350", or "free shipping on orders over $500" F you! That's B.S. And they know it! "promos" aside, the shipping starts at ludicrously high and goes all the way to astronomically high, with junk tacking and long(untrackable) waits. Thankfully, Amazon now carries Honshu and Benchmade.

CHECK ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE FIRST!!!

As long as you know what you are looking for and have shopped around you can find good deals here. I recently bought their scratch and dent swords. A mystery item where you get over stocked, returned, or blemished items. I bought 2, and for the price, $19.99 each I got 2 decent pieces. They're not great but again 20bucks. The only issue I had was that they were the same sword. Again beggers and choosers. Overall experience was good. Have bought from before and will again I'm sure.

The hilt was wrapped with that nylon cord. Although underneath that there was 2 plastic pieces taped to it. Terrible although the swords came very nicely packaged, sharp and very pretty with beautiful black coating

I have no problem recommending BUDK for very cool and unusual products with easy ordering and quick shipping
Customers need realize that less expensive items may not be of the quality anticipated. You do get what you pay for.
I like that BUDK provided fun affordable items.

Tip for consumers:
Ordering and shipping are positives.
Quality of product varies. Some items that are cool looking and novel are not of sufficient quality to handle actual use such as a sword. Quality usable weapons are represented but many items are just for looks. Be certain of your intent for use or just show before making a purchase

The steel buckle works fine. However the canvas belt made in China is garbage as it only lasted me about 3 weeks. It has frayed and unraveled. The end of the canvas belt needs metal instead of a leather end

This company is trash i ordered a timber rattler knife for a gift even got the 2 shipping payed an Extra 30 dollars more it turns out is gonna be more like 4 days shipping i should've just ordered it from Amazon they promised me the same amount of days and free shipping, "People" never pay more for your order there a scam

I placed an order with BudK as a returning customer. I know my address was in their system because they keep sending me their catalogues. My shipping address and my mailing address are the same and like I said, I am a returning customer. Then I leave for an overseas business trip. Next thing I know I get an e-mail telling me that my order is on hold and that I need to call them. I write back to explain that 1) I am overseas and can't call; 2) I am a returning customer and my address has not changed; 3) I have the same shipping address as billing address; and 4) They know all that because they keep sending me their catalogues. Make any difference? Nope. I get an illiterate response (yep, they have the same e-mail address that I have always used, too) message saying that if I don't call within a certain time they will cancel the order. Well, cancel the order then. And lose a customer. What a scam.

I bought dozens of items from Budk over the years but hadn't really checked the site in a few years. I have some nephews that have taken a liking to my collection so I decided to look up and see what kind of deals they might have. I am shocked by their prices now because they just didn't go up a little ---they went up a ton to the point I felt compelled to leave a review. Even items that were BOGO are no longer BOGO and have tripled in price. Their "daily steals" are flea market items at ridiculous prices. For the price of most of their swords and knives you can buy legit hand-forged items from smiths in the United States. It was always fun to find a great deal but the pricing has increased so much that I won't be back anytime soon.

With BudK, sometimes you get trash and sometimes you get gold. Normally, somewhere in between. I have gotten true gold, from BudK. Unfortunately, this time it was LOWER than trash. I'm almost ashamed to put this crap in the trash. Just in case a neighbor would see the items. However, in the past. I've actually gotten gold. Truly great deals. Worth the gamble.

I ordered a knife on 6/15/22 and payed 25 dollars for 2nd day air. They refuse to refund me for shipping costs and I was hung up on by a customer service rep that was apparently having a bad day, at no point was I hostile or any bit angry. It's currently 6/21/22 and I just got a notification that the package was out for delivery. I would have accepted a discounted price for shipping I wasn't even expecting a full refund. I'm very reasonable and have never had anything bad to say about the company up until this point and it's saddening to know I have to find another company since I've been using them for goods for almost 10 years now.

Do not expect your purchase to be on time or to be compensated for a late delivery

Took 10 days to arrive, a bit longer than usual,,,, everything seemed fine until I was removing the small plastic dot to allow the battery to make contact for the small light,,,,, 3 of the 8 had the dimmist glow that could be,,, those 3 did not have the plastic dot, so they must have made contact and burned out the battery,,,, would appreciate a few replacement batteries so no one is dissapointed,,, thank you
