Terrible customer service and their fitting rooms are closed- no explanation or option to try on clothes! Won't be back-
I had the most horrifying shopping experience of my life at this Burlington Store at Hawthorne. On September 28,2022 at 9:30 AM. I went to this Burlington store. As I was walking towards the store from the parking lot, I ran into a mall security person and I said to him that the sign in front of the store says that it should be open by 9am, but I was here yesterday at 9:20am with few other customers and it was still not open; so I hope they are open by now since it was already 9:30am. The security person actually replied and said that they always open late and he does not know why. I walked into the store and informed one of the floor staff that I was here yesterday at about 9:20am but the store was not open even though the sign says that they open at 9am. She did not say much but she did reply and said "oh, it was yesterday". I started to look at some men's clothing. After 5 minutes, the same floor staff came to me and said, "The store manager asked you to leave now." I asked her why but she said she does not know. I then walked out of the store.
This store needs a new manager! She asked me to leave without any reason! It was extremely disrespectful and insulting! It appears that she did not want me in the store because I "complained" that the store was not open on time?!
The Burlington management should look into this matter.
Wore pair of sneakers once -second time shoelace eyelet broke. Both store manager and corporate customer service department told me tough luck, in a dismissive and patronizing manner
I purchased item worth $267 at Burlington in Elizabeth NJ (651 Kapowski Road) on 7/15/22 and paid to a cashier named on the receipt as Reginald. Transaction No ******* Reg 019 Store No ******* at 3.06pm.
Upon getting home in New York, I discovered that a wristwatch which was among 21 items was intentionality kept behind and was not put in the bag.
At about 8.45pm samee day when I realised this, I called the store and spoke to one Ronald or Donald who casually said "come back and get". This statement surprised me and I request a supervisor. Rochelle came on line and said the same thing. I told her that i am all the way in NY and I will have to pay toll plus gas that are expensive. All she could say was "come back for it". There is no empathy or asking my receipt detail to at least know who attended to me. This really upset me. I usually shop in Yonkers and they are all nice but Elizabeth's location in worst in customer service. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE CASHIER AT BURLINGTON ELIZABETH. THEY MAY KEEP MERCHANDISE YOU ALREADY PAID FOR. BEWARE. They were not sorry for me at all. It appears this is not new to them.
Burlington at 2614 Golf Road, Glenview, IL *******-4744 overall is okay.
The front-end manager is always nice and takes good care of me. However, Rose, a cashier is extremely rude. Avoid going to her line to check out at all costs. She is extremely extremely rude!
If you are considering getting a credit card with Burlington. DON'T walk away... RUN AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY! I was charged a late fee for paying on the due date. When I called to ask why I was assessed a late fee, I was told "You paid on the right date, but your payment came in after our cutoff hour". Who is looking at the cutoff hour, when you're trying to pay your bill on the due date? This store has gone down the toilet in quality! They don't sell coats anymore, and they need to be avoided like the plague! Their customer service is absolutely HORRENDOUS from being in person to the rude, ignorant people that answer the phones. This, at a time when the country is financially at its worst! To steal extra money from customers at this time is unethical, greedy, and outrageous! It's one thing to not pay your bill, or to be late paying your bill, but to be charged almost $50.00 for missing their 6:00 cutoff hour that they don't even tell you about. Is Horrible! There are better stores to shop at... like Marshall's, Ross or Nordstrom Rack. But definitely avoid shopping at Burlington!
I have no problems shopping in their store but online is a complete ripoff. I paid for the product and never received anything. Reaching their customer service is impossible. I lost my money and will be calling my bank next to attempt getting my money back.
I went with my boyfriend to help him suit shop and the lady or clerk who works in the mens changing room asked no not step in any further. What if I wanted to give my bf more clothes or exchange a size for him and to be able to see how the outfits fits him. I didnt question her why but what if I was transgender would she have asked me and why is their a divide between men and women what if a female want to shop in mens section, she has to go over and bring clothes all the way over to maladies changing room. It shouldnt matter there are doors on all of the rooms. Get with the program and make them unisex
I visited your store # ******* today 11/5/17 between 5:30-6:30pm. Someone stole stole/found my purse near the fitting room where the camera is. I requested a Manager immediately. I spoke with a man named Nick that advised me to contact the yonkers police department. He refused to check the video and continued to hang up merchandise. I then went to the front cashiers and asked if anyone turned in a black cosh wristlet purse. I was directed to lost prevention. I was then informed they may possible may have my belongings. The security guard then asked my what my name was and walked over to his booth. Manager Nick then informed him to not return my belongings and still have the police come.He then asked for a description of my wallet although the security guard already looked inside my wallet and verified my name. 10 minutes later he finally decided to return my belongings. I asked Nick why he refused to give me belongings and why did he advise me to waist the local authorities time with a theft claim if they clearly had my belongings. Nick began to scream in my face, and I began to yell back at him then choose to walk away to fix the issue. Nick then decide to Harass me by following me throughout the store. I asked for him to stop. Although I asked him to stop he continued to follow me while screaming at the top of his lungs. I found my son and friends and STILL got online to patronize your buisness! I was appalled that I was taken from and was treated as if I stole from your company. Nick followed us to the register. I asked the cashier for the corporate number and his name. Nick then came over and advised, and shouted google it and advised all cashiers not to provide me with the corporate information. He even refused to provide the first initial of his last name. I was stollen from, Harassed and yelled when trying and still did patronize your store. I am appalled, afraid and looking to speaking with an attorney per the poor customer service received today! I am also going to look into pressing charges as I did not appreciated or deserve being harassed.
I've ordered an pair of Prada shoes online for xmas present and received a purse in yhe package. Called customer service and they wanted me to send the pictures of the purse and someone will contact in couple days. Waited for 5 days without any respond and I end up calling them again. They send a return shipping label so I can ship the item back and will get the refund when they receive the item. Tracking # showed they received the item more than week ago and still refund. I've just call them today (after a month from the day I plced my order) and they said I have to wait for another week to get my refund. I've nerver shop at Burlington again since they ruin my xmas present and the worst customer service i've ever seen
I placed an order back in March, and the shipping and handling promo was Free shipping on Orders $50+. When I got to checkout, I figured that even though the total includes the shipping fee, it will be waived later (Like other websites which don't provide coupon codes for their offers).
I contacted customer service about this matter right away (March 9th) and heard back (March 16th). I was told that as long as I meet the requirements (order weighs under 10 lbs, and total $50+) they would waive it but I will have to call them. I kept calling the number, it tells me the waiting time is more than 10 minutes, and I wait, but then I'm not connected to anyone. I know that my order meets all the requirements for free shipping, and now I'm overseas and still try to call but no luck! The order will soon be a month old and this problem is still not resolved. I contacted customer service through email again and still haven't heard back. I really don't understand why is it so complicated. How do you expect people to shop again with such an experience.
I always shop in store and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I purchased an order on their website and it was a disaster. Not only did I not receive half my order but customer service was so rude. They told me it was on the invoicing as delivered so I must have it! Ridiculous! I was not asking for a refund, I just wanted to things I ordered. I will NEVER order online with them again.
Bought a coat from there the thread came apart at the seems, they would not exchange it or make it right. Will not shop there again!
I bought a beautiful bomber jacket last winter from Burlington. I was originally priced at $150.00. I only paid $ 59.99 for a jacket that was made of real fur. Because I love animals I would not have bought this jacket if I realized that the inside and pockets were made of beaver fur. The hood also had red fox fur surrounding the top. This jacket was black and also had a little gemstone on the zipper piece. I felt bad when I received the jacket because of the real fur, but when I put it on I fell in love with it. I keep this jacket just for dress. It would seem a shame to wear it for everyday use. This was not the first time I bought a coat from Burlington. I have been buying coats from this store for about 7 years now. I have also purchased clothes, bed and bathroom items and really nice shoes. In today's economy this store makes your dollar go along way. Because they are a warehouse they get things in bulk. I have even found Victoria Secret sweatshirts. They have saved me hundreds of dollars for a coats that would cost so much more for the same thing in another store. So before buying a coat from an expensive department store try Burlington there great. Lorraine W.
Answer: Looks like all stores have the same playlist with a random song being added every 4 months or so. Music must come from a corporate location since all stores play the same songs. Hope this helps :)
