This year shopping for children's back to school clothes I visited many stores. Most were not stocked and the variety was very limited but Kohl's was great. So many brands to choose from and very neatly displayed. The customer service reps were friendly and returns were easy when need be. Their online selection is even better than in store and the shipping is prompt and arrives quickly. The quality of the brands they carry are also top notch and wash well. I would recommend shopping at Kohl's.
This business drives me crazy. I cannot ever be sure I am getting the best price. I will place an order online. The next day the item will be on sale. Place that order, then a few days later, the discounts change and yet an even lower price is available. What kind of business want's customers placing multiple orders only to return them all because prices have changed? I have one last return of a group of items that had me go through 4 orders to get the best price. I make sure that I consolidate so I only have to go to the store once for returns, but then the poor clerk has to spend 20 minutes with me sorting through multiple orders for the returns. I am done! I will shop elsewhere. Kohl's, lower your prices overall and keep them standard and YOU will save money! What an insane business model that cause extra work for everyone, and drives your customers away.

Tip for consumers:
I do find the employees in the store very helpful and understanding. That is Kohl's only redeeming value, I find.

None. I got fed up with the pricing policies and no longer wish to give them by business
Got a return? Be Prepared to pay shipping again no full refunds, customer service sucks, should and will go out of business, never think to shop online or at their overpriced stores, good luck
Tip for consumers:
They rip off customers by not displaying or telling if you return refund is minus shipping charges, we'll I'm fighting that with my credit card company

On September 19,2024, I visited the Kohl's store located at 8750 W Sura Ln, Greenfield, WI, with my service dog. From the moment we entered, the store manager, Cam, confronted us, stating that dogs were not allowed in the store. I immediately informed her that my dog is a service animal, protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which allows service animals in public spaces.
Despite explaining the legal rights of service animals and the fact that no documentation is required for them, Cam insisted that my service dog could not enter, claiming he might relieve himself inside the store. This reasoning is completely unfounded and discriminatory. I informed her of ADA regulations, which clearly allow service animals in public accommodations without the need for additional documentation, but she refused to acknowledge this.
Cam then told me I was only allowed to purchase one item before I would have to leave. My boyfriend, who was with me, located the lipstick I was planning to buy, and as I went to make the purchase, Cam continued to follow us closely throughout the store. She also filmed us during this time, which felt intimidating and harassing.
The entire encounter made me feel targeted and uncomfortable, especially since I was simply exercising my rights as someone with a service dog. Cam's actions—following us and filming—only made the situation worse. It felt as though she was intentionally trying to intimidate me for standing up for my legal rights.
In the end, I was only able to purchase the one item I needed, which totaled $23. However, the experience left me shaken and deeply disappointed. To make matters worse, Cam refused to provide any further information about the store or her name when I asked for clarification. Although I was eventually able to confirm her name as Cam, the entire experience was distressing.
I have video footage of the incident showing Cam following and filming us, as well as a receipt for my purchase. This situation not only violates my rights under the ADA, but it also reflects a serious lack of understanding and proper training by Kohl's staff regarding the handling of customers with disabilities.
I hope that by submitting this report, Kohl's takes this matter seriously and implements proper training for their staff to ensure ADA compliance. No customer should have to experience harassment or discrimination when they are following the law, and I hope to prevent future customers from going through a similar experience at this location or any other Kohl's store.
This incident has already caused me significant emotional distress, and I expect Kohl's to address the situation appropriately. It is crucial that businesses like Kohl's understand the importance of adhering to ADA laws and ensuring that their staff treats all customers with the respect they deserve.

Coming from a FORMER employee, this company is incompetent, rude, unhelpful, and above all else, PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE. The employee and management conduct is severely disappointing and borderline illegal. There were several instances where I feared for my safety from another customer, notified the manager, and received NO help. I asked if this verbally aggressive and touchy customer could be removed from the store and the manager replied, "Um I don't really know if I have the authority to do that". I then had a panic attack as this customer wasn't leaving me alone. When I came back another day to speak to a different manager she replied, "Oh yeah I saw your panic attack on the security cameras, it looked pretty bad". I have had several other instances like this one, where I feared for my safety, was talked down to, was denied a raise I was on track for while new employees with fewer achievements and half the experience at Kohls were given a raise. This is an establishment I will gladly never associate myself with again and I recommend any reader does the same, for your own sanity and safety.
Kohl's delivery service is an absolute disaster. Not only did my order arrive late, but it was missing items and contained items I didn't even order. Customer service was unhelpful and seemed indifferent to my concerns. Kohl's, you've lost a loyal customer due to your unreliable delivery practices.
I went to Kohl's today to shop for shoes. Bought three pair. I had a 30% discount coupon a 20% in-store coupon and because it was 15% off military Monday I thought wow I can at least use one of these since I was buying almost $300 worth of shoes Went to the cashier only to find out, I could not use any of these coupons on anything I wanted to buy. All the advertisements for coupons is just bait to get you in the store. They don't mean nothing! I couldn't find anything I could buy with any of the coupons that they had advertised, I will never go back to that store. And I will tell everyone I can not to go. I am tired of being lied too! What a wast of time! If you are an employee there, I urge you to quit immediately if you have any integrity at all!
Hi,
Its very bad experience with purchasing. I have bought 2 pairs of shoes the same size and on of them was too small. I had a return it, but company did not offer prepaid label, so I had to pay muly own money for this return. Refund will be issued only during next 30 days (company will use my money for business purposes for this time). Customer service is pretty bad and can't get any help from them spending almost 1 hour in the chat. I would definitely recommend not doing any purchases here, they don't care about customers.
On Dec 13,2023 a hacker hacked my kohls account and placed an order for 2 google nest cameras. I called within a few hours of the order because it was placed while I was at work and unable to be on my phone so I did not see the order right away.
They said they could not cancel the order because it was being processed even though the order had not left the facility yet. I was also informed that it would take up to 60 days for the investigation complete.
Kohl's handling of customer problems and account information is seriously lacking. They do not protect their customer's information in a proper manner. They need to add two-factor authentication and requests for changing personal information should have a fail safe.
I am extremely angry over the situation and will be closing my account with Koh's once this fiasco is over.

Came into store to purchase items for my wife and was accosted by three police officers telling me lost prevention assumed I was going to steal was questioned and told not to steal very embarrassed and disturbed by the incident. Sad to see you can't go purchase items for your loved ones. Sad to see we as a people still get profiled for no apparent reason. Due to the incident I will never spend another hard earned dollar of mine with this establishment.
If I could rate lower I would. Never have I experienced such a gross display of service. I was purchasing 4 pairs of pants. After asking about a sale price "buy 1 get 1 for $1" that was on display I showed the clerk who proceeded to argue that it must belong to other merchandise. The promo card was prominently displayed in many surrounding items of the Dockers shelves, and he said very openly that I need to learn how to read because the digital display was different. I asked for a manager who was standing right there and just got a blank stare. The neighboring cashier found the whole thing funny, laughing and adding insulting commentary. He'd already run into the back of me with push carts which he found hilarious. In no instance was there an apology from anyone. Needless to say I left and will not purchase ANYTHING from ANY kohl's ever again. It's bad enough their merchandising is a total wreck to shop but I don't think anyone deserves to be treated like this!
I've complained b/4 about the awful carts. You get your choice of pushing around a clothes hamper bag or a small plastic garbage can with a long handle to push or pull. Would be hard to disinfect them. They hang down to floor & you practically have to crawl inside to retrieve items. God forbid if you buy pots & pans or any big box as they don't fit in bag. Try & find someone working on floor to help you with that. Please get an upright wire cart to use that is useful & can be sanitized. I'm tired of throwing things over side of cart!
I did an online purchase of $210 but the online receipt I received shows the price as $0.00, which is ridiculous enough. However, even more ridiculous thing is when I called their customer center for issuing me corrected receipt, they said it is not possible. I don't understand how come you operate a business if you can't produce a receipt correctly which is the very basic part of trade!
The customer support people talk like robots, awful experience!
Tip for consumers:
Their online system is awful!

Once upon a time, I loved shopping for clothes at Kohl's. Ah yes, back in the day before the hideous clothing industry reared its ugly head. But businesses like Kohl's ran out to eagerly greet them and welcome their drug-induced clown clothing into the fold. "Dress the ladies like color-blind morons with no taste and money to burn!" the evil clothing industry exclaimed. And the Kohl's leadership followed suit.

Every order I've placed with kohl's in the past six months has been a problem. They send me a coat with the sleeve sewn shut. The replacement has a security tag attached and they expected me to go to the store and have it removed. Yeah, I'm going to walk into a store so I can get arrested for shoplifting. Every order gets split into multiple shipments and at least one of those shipments gets lost. The customer service reps lie and treat you like an idiot. To top it off, they send me a lousy 15% off coupon. I've been a loyal customer for YEARS. I'm done with kohl's, they don't care about the customer.
Tip for consumers:
They CHARGE YOU RETURN SHIPPING even if the item is defective or not what you order.

I'm a loyal Kohl's customer. Had a problem today both of my packages were marked as delivered but never found them. I went through several representatives and a supervisor for the only solution that would be dispute one of my transactions and for the other item wait for a refund that can take up thirty days! I'm cancelling my Kohl's credit card and everything today. I won't be purchasing anything from Kohl's again. Poor customer service and etc.
I am an Amazon Prime member. I return things to Amazon through Kohl's because there is one close to me. It is convenient and they give me a "Kohl's Cash" coupon for $5.00 (or more) everytime. I usually don't use them but I thought it was smart on Kohl's part to give me an incentive to shop while I was in the store.
It turns out it isn't a free incentive! I looked at my receipt this last time and discovered that they actually deducted $5.00 from my refund to pay for the Kohl's Cash coupon. If I don't use the coupon, they just stole $5.00 (or more) from me!
Amazon obviously lets them do it so I would imagine Amazon is getting some of the money also. How absolutely sleazy and disgusting! I personally will never shop at Kohl's again! I suggest that you don't either.
I am also very irritated at Amazon for setting this up. That is pretty sleazy on their part also.
My order took forever to come and was delivered and left at the end of my 500' driveway were someone could just steal it! Seriously what is wrong with this company! Not happy with the customer service will not order online again!
When you sign up for coupons, the deals you can get at Kohl's is excellent. Much better quality than Kmart, Walmart, or Target. Excellent return policy. Just wish they had more stylish clothes for voluptuous people like myself. Vera Wang is great, but my size seems to be out of stock. Which means many people love what they have and I need to get there sooner! ;) LOL
A large retailer of things made in China. They are a relatively dysfunctional company, lots of fragmentation of jobs so ordering can't discuss shipping who can't discuss billing. Multiple frequent errors met with: I'm sorry ma'm there's nothing I can do. Occasional massive price reductions, so gird your loins for severe frustration when going after amazing deals.
One of the worst eCommerce experiences I have had. I also called customer service and they hung up on me. Kohl's you need to get this fixed and hire better people! The entire experience was frustrating and after speaking with an incompetent sales associate it made it very difficult day.
Sorry, I was a fan, not so much anymore.
I went to Kohl's with my wife. The place was filthy. The staff could not have been less helpful. They were too busy chatting to notice us standing there. We left without buying anything and will not be going back.

I could not get past the cleanliness and the poor service.
I love getting free cash from purchases and love the online buying experience. My only complaint is that the clothes are too expensive without being on sale. They should price their stuff better instead of doing the sales.
If they were more affordable, I'd have rated 5 stars... so I shop here when things go on sale. Did ALL of my holiday shopping here this past year. Everything was shipped quickly, arrived safely to their destinations, and I saved a ton by waiting for their sales! Rarely did I encounter problems with items being sold out; when I did, I received an apology with a coupon for $5 off. I love that my all shopping rewards could be loaded directly into my online wallet so no matter how I shopped or paid, they were right at my fingertips!
I went to the Hamden Store to return items from an online order. I was told that is alright that I did not have tags on the merchandise and I just bring to the store and return it. When I got to the store, the customer service was having difficultly matching the skus with product. They called customer service and they said that they can't help because the system was down. The manager told associate to call back and see if they could resolve the issue. Associate called them and I spoke the customer service person and they said that they processed the return but were not able to credit my account and I had to call my bank. I called my bank and I had to make a claim against the transaction. I figured that I would call kohls customer service back and see if they would resolve it for me. They did not and told that I had to go back to the store and get a receipt. I explained to them that I gave the merchandise back to the store and can't get a receipt. So once I got of the phone with them, I called the Hamden store and told them what kohls customer service said to me and the manager told me that he has heard of that and it ridiculous. So I have made a formal complaint with Kohls and I am just looking to get my money back which is around 190.00 bucks. I just so frustrated now and don't feel comfortable ordering from kohls.con anymore
