I bought a crib & dresser set for my expecting daughter. SIX pieces came damaged. I sent pictures over to the customer service department, they started a claim. For TWO weeks they kept saying that the replacement parts needed to come from the vendor and they were still waiting for a response. After I threatened to dispute the charges on my credit card, they reluctantly agreed to ship a new crib. A month after the order was placed, we have a new crib but still a broken unusable dresser. Every time you call, the escalation "specialist" assigned to the case is not in and no one can provide updated information. I will NEVER make a purchase with them again. I had horrible experience with Bed Bath & Beyond and stopped shopping there as well.
It is a joke that in this day and age you cannot look up returned items purchased by a credit or debit card and you have to deduct 20% of the price accordingly for an exchange. I believe that is an unfair policy to waste peoples hard earned money just because they have misplaced the receipt! Especially items purchased 2 weeks prior in the same selling condition. Shame!
We received a duplicate item from our baby registry from Buy Buy Baby and we don't have the receipt so now we had to ask for the receipt from the purchaser (which is a bit awkward) or lose 20% towards our Merchandise credit when we return the item. Shameful. We won't be buying anything from Buy Buy Baby in the future or their parent company Bed, Bath and Beyond for ourselves nor for our friends who are having children. Plenty of other reputable merchandisers/vendors who make registry returns hassle free. Hope their penny pinching policy was worth losing potential lifelong customers over.
. During pregnancy, I started to be interested in the company, so I ordered many items needed for my baby. Now, when my baby ;) is two years old, I still buy their clothes and accessories, and I'm satisfied.
Ordered a pricey gift off a registry and it didn't get marked "purchased". Sent 3 emails with no response then tried to call. After listening to "how important my call was" to them I finally got tired of waiting and hung up. Thank goodness I found the $900 stroller $200 cheaper on another site with no tax or shipping. Very disappointed with so few stores concentrating on baby products that this company can't seem to get the simple stuff right.
Ordered a few things today on a registry, made out card but forgot to put my name upon completion. Was told it's too late for changed after 30 mins. Ugh! On the card come on, not changing or canceling order. Won't order from them again.
Cindy at the Indianapolis store was amazing & went above & beyond to look for a piece I was missing that was purchased over two years ago! I really really appreciate what she did & haven't experienced that type of service in a long time anywhere!
Buy Buy Baby I will say does their best to have excellent customer service. However, I was pretty disappointed when they said they would send me ONE welcome box for twins. I told them I would have sent my ultrasound with a photo ID to them just to confirm I am carrying twins. I asked her "So you guys are welcoming only one of my two babies into the world?". The point of the welcome/sample box is to sample... I just thought it was a little crazy being that I am not going to pass the same pacifier back and forth to my babies to see if they take to it.
I called Target for my welcome/sample box and asked if they sent 2 being that I am carrying twins. They were more than happy to help as long as I showed proof that I was carrying twins. They understand the risk of sampling the same products to both babies is unsanitary. I definitely rate target with a 5 star customer service.

She walked with us in the store and gave us her honest opinion of what products are best and which ones we should opt away from. Had we not had her help I know for a fact we would have spent many many more hours creating our registry.
We were done in about 4 hours which really isn't too long given the infinite number of items to sift through. Thanks Troy!
Tendra the manager at the store located at 270 7th ave Ny NY ******* is an Angel. Very sweet and professional. Her daughter who also works at the store is a professional. Both of them provided me excellent customer service.
During quarantine it has been difficult to shop! But buybuybaby made shopping for my cousin's baby shower easy! It took me about 10 minutes total. I didn't have to go to a store and wear a mask. I bought the first 9 things on her registry and it was sent to me in less then a week! I was very impressed! Thanks!
Ordered gift from Buy Buy Baby registry. It showed in stock and estimated delivery in 3 days. After a week of waiting, I checked the tracking and it then showed delivery in 3 months. I called to complain and was told the order could not be cancelled/refunded because they don't guarantee delivery. 3 months vs. 3 days! Really! I'll never order from this place again. Go with a reputable company that actually knows the meaning of customer service.
Ordered specific detergent for my son who had a skin reaction, product came 3 days later than originally said on their website, product was damaged. Took over hour to get into contact with someone on chat who wasn't polite, or friendly. They're sending one replacement detergent, though both were leaked on and damaged. Will take an additional 5 days at least to get replacement. Should have purchased off amazon.
I got 20% off from already low prices with free shipping. Great deals nice website and I hope to come here again in the future for more shopping needs. My baby is already three months, and supplies are not going to last forever.
I had to call 5 times about an order only to be told five different things before finally being told my order was lost. No one knew what they were doing and the supervisor was rude. Worst place ever! Don't buy from them!
I have a baby registry here and have purchased thousands of dollars in merchandise. When I needed customer service on the phone or email (I tried both unsuccessfully), they did not answer my emails, kept me on hold for extended lengths of time, never answering, had a non-working number some days. At a time when I cannot physically go to the store (because they are all closed due to shelter in place) this company should provide customer service on phone and email. This is ridiculous. I am going to order the remainder of my baby needs from Amazon because there I would be able to return something and get in touch with someone regarding damaged goods.
Do not have them deliver any order. Have it delivered to the store or purchase at the store. We ordered furniture, and it was an absolute nightmare. 2 months later still waiting for a crib and literally no one can assist us. They send your request to another department, and the new department never gets back to you. They are hard to understand, and no one every has answers. As a very pregnant woman who is about to be a first time mother- this is a stress I did not need. Horrible.
The Long Branch store had taken over 2 thousand dollars as payment in full for my daughters nursery over 2 months ago and when we called to find out the delivery status we were told they never put the order in, although we are holding the printed order in our hands they do not have furniture for us, the store employees show no empathy for the error and do not return calls. You cannot make this up. 8 weeks away from baby's due date we are now to search for furniture and hope for a refund timely. Shame on you BuyBuyBaby... The worst experience you could possibly have! Beware consumers!
I placed order beginning of June. Still have not received. I've called customer service 3 times, waiting on hold about 50 minute each time being told original order lost and new order placed and still nothing. Also wrote them an email and received instant response back that emails r not monitored regularly at this time. So if u have an issue u will have to wait almost an hour to speak with anyone and be prepared to do it more than once.
My crib was shipped to a different state even though the delivery was based on the baby registry address. After I contacted customer service, they were very difficult to understand. Not to mention the fact that they said multiple times that they could not guarantee that my crib would get there in a reasonable amount of time after they resubmitted the order three weeks after I ordered it. No way to identify the customer service rep even though I asked for an identifying associate number. When I asked for email confirmation it was extremely vague saying in order has been submitted, no guarantee on that though.
