Racist store!
November 24, 2022

My husband and I went to the Birmingham AL, location just for some wall decorations and I don't know who he is but the moment he saw us he ran to the back to check the cameras to see if we stole anything. The moment he came out from the back he watched us like a hawk the whole time and it was just the most uncomfortable experience and store I have ever been at. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant who waddles every step so why think I would steal something if I can not run and at a baby store at that. The moment he saw are skin color he immediately judged us. You can not tell him the whole time we were walking around just seeing if we liked something TO BUY he was right there and he didn't even make it discrete, he was literally just staring at us. The moment I found what I needed and could not take the staring anymore we went to the counter to pay and he literally was blocking entrance out just to make sure that we paid. I just have a feeling like this is not the first time he has done this and this store needs too really do something thinking about who they hire. If the store was only for white people they should just put that on the door but the make every other person of color who wants to spend money at y'all store feel like that there is no reason why y'all should even be open.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

I place an $800 order 2 hours later I received a email that my order was canceled. Called and they tell me they couldn't confirm my info and canceled the order. Refused to process the order and now I have to wait 8-10 days for the money to show back in my account so I can place an order somewhere else.

Ordering online sucks!

Ordered a stroller online for my daughter-in-law and son. It's stated in the description that it would fit a Graco infant seat, it was a Chico brand. We took it out of the box put it together put our infant seat in it did not work. I took it back to the store they returned it for me they said it would take 5 to 7 business days for a refund. I got an email from buybuy baby that they got my return and my refund would be coming in a few days. To my surprise in a few days I got another stroller that does not fit my infant seat. Call twice to Customer Service they said it was used cause they found A Hair on it. I told them we had to take it out of the box to put it together to see if it would work and yes there's a possibility there was a hair on the floor but that doesn't mean it was used. Explained to them the baby hasn't even been born yet it has not been used they promised me a shipping label I've called them twice and still no shipping label and no refund. I even asked for a store credit! Ordered one off another site cheaper! Bye bye Baby cause I won't be back! They lie!

Buybuybaby website did not advise that the $700 reclining chair was OUT OF STOCK when I put the item in my cart. The website even had me pick a delivery date. After the item failed to be delivered, I checked my email. They sent an email stating that they are sorry but the item is still processing. That was a lie because after waiting ten days after purchase I found out the chair would not be back in stock until 49 days after purchase. Not in stock isn't still processing. So I didn't have the chair for the baby shower and had to cancel order since it wouldn't be available until after the baby was born. I hate buybuybaby. They suck.

After ordering a carseat and waiting 7 weeks for it and countless phone calls with customer service throughout that time my order was canceled today! They said they had canceled my order September 1st when I have an email from Sunday the 3rd about how my order would be shipping soon. Now every color of the carseat is sold out and they said there is nothing they can do but I can re-order it when it comes back in stock if I'd like to. Uhm NO? It was supposed to be delivered August 1st and I ordered it in the middle of July! This was no cheap order either and as a customer I'm extremely disappointed and angry with how this has panned out. I would seriously consider ordering from elsewhere!

Still no crib!

My crib was shipped to a different state even though the delivery was based on the baby registry address. After I contacted customer service, they were very difficult to understand. Not to mention the fact that they said multiple times that they could not guarantee that my crib would get there in a reasonable amount of time after they resubmitted the order three weeks after I ordered it. No way to identify the customer service rep even though I asked for an identifying associate number. When I asked for email confirmation it was extremely vague saying in order has been submitted, no guarantee on that though.

Wrong item

I've never had to deal with such a terrible company. I order glass baby bottles that I was so excited about and they sent me a toilet seat. I right away submitted for a return. I learned I had to send the toilet seat back before they even start t send me the correct item. So I got it dropped off with fedex and it took 5 days for it to get delivered to buybuybaby. I called customer support after it finally delivered, to see when I was getting my actual order and they said it will ship in 24 hrs. Well that was a lie! I had to call back 2 days later bc I've yet to receive an email saying my order was on its way. The costumer service person is now saying it takes 4 to 5 days for them to process my return and my package will ship after that. Like this is going to be a month long process by the time I actually get my bottles if I ever get them. Like this is ridiculous, like either send the right products or get a better return system.

Do not have them deliver any order. Have it delivered to the store or purchase at the store. We ordered furniture, and it was an absolute nightmare. 2 months later still waiting for a crib and literally no one can assist us. They send your request to another department, and the new department never gets back to you. They are hard to understand, and no one every has answers. As a very pregnant woman who is about to be a first time mother- this is a stress I did not need. Horrible.

Absolute worst customer service ever

I've spent at least 5 hours on the phone, numerous emails and hours with customer service chat online and still haven't had the crib I ordered over a month ago delivered to my house. I was texted once saying it would be delivered that day between 1-5 and they never called or showed up. I've called the delivery company 3x as well to no avail. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT HAS TO BE DELIVERED FROM HERE!

The first surface level issue is you're limited to what they carry in stock (meaning, you can't link items from other retailers). Then I tried to delete my account and there was no way to do it on my own (I'm tech savvy, I googled it, could not do it). I wrote to them to delete my account, no answer. I tried to log into the site to at least delete the items on my registry (family/friend were getting confused thinking that was my up to date registry, because it comes up on google under my name) and I could not log in (the system re-directed me to create an account). I chatted with an agent who asked me for my name and email 2 different times to help me and said IT was working on the issue. It's 2022 people! Lol After various attempts the agent was finally able to access my registry and delete the items. I had to google my registry to give him/her my registry ID (because they couldn't pull it with just a name and email lol).

The manager in the store in rockaway, NJ

The price of the fisher price baby swing was $169.00, the register scanned $180. So watch and be aware of the prices of the itemd you're buying. I think the store is sneaky. I caught them charging me more than the price tag.

Also save your receipts, bc when return something without a receipt they charge 20% and had to be within 90 days. This policies are not posted any where or not disclosed to customers. Also returning an item minus 20% the remaining amount will not be given as cash or credit... the store will give you a store credit which is unfair. Customers have no choice, so be aware. I view this is a sneaky store, taking advantage of Customers.

Frustrating Website

I had gotten a 20% coupon by entering my email address.The coupon was sent to my email with a bar code. After entering the barcode numerous times without any success I just picked out several items from the gift registry and during checkout was still not able to apply the coupon despite trying many times. I finally gave up on the coupon and placed the order. Later on in the day I see they shipped out 1 of the 4 gifts I picked out. That means the recipient will get the gifts in multiple packages on different days instead of everything at one time
I am very disappointed with this entire experience.

Today I went and spent so much money on my grandsons - when I got to the register I asked her if she could help me with coupons or any Memorial Day deal she turns and says go look in the store for the stuff on sale! Ridiculous their coupons are always a pain they have no Wi-Fi!
