I purchased the ARRIS TM1602A DOCSIS 3 TELEPHONEY (EMTA) MODEM (Optimum/Cablevision, WOW + more) device to replace the leased device from Optimum, which they were charging $10 a month for the privilege of using. The product they sent was identical to the one Optimum provided and will allow me to return it to remove the superfluous charge from my billing. Highly recommended for anyone similarly being asked to pay an additional fee on top of expensive service.

Received my modem and it was poorly packed and broken. I emailed right away and got a automatic response saying someone would get back to me. After a week going back and forth and calling ( you call a google phone #) I sent a email again asking for a pre paid return label and they sent me a email telling this." You are welcome to do what you would like but the truth is we have responded to every email you have sent with instructions and you just disregard any questions we ask or return instructions we send. Again, we are very sorry to hear that you are having problems as please confirm if you have attempted to install the unit using the instructions provided to see if the small cracks affect the functionality of the modem as it would be tested accordingly upon return. Otherwise, please be sure to review our return policy that was presented and accepted in order to complete checkout and BE SURE to include a note in the package detailing your reason for return and your welcome to return the item to the return address below where it will be tested and a replacement/refund being issued upon confirming defective."
THEY ARE A BACK YARD COMPANEY. NO BALLS TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS DIRECTLY AND OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES. I paid $117.00 for a broken modem and they cant even send a return slip and want me to spend more money to return it.
Well there are certianly two sides to every story as our "Do what you want comment" was in response to customer making several extortion threats of forgoing attacking our business with reviews if he received monetary gain of which we do not tolerate nor entertain such threats. Customer ordered an item from us and had some cracking in the base but was it was listed as a discounted item for this reason as it is fully functional so it was a discounted off item of almost 50% as buyer confirms that he didn't perform the due diligence in reading the items description page BEFORE purchase as we provided the items condition, a specific definition of the items conditiion, and specifically list each and every accessory that would be included as buyer just ASSUMED based on price what condition might be but upon doing actual research you will find it is priced at a significant discount compared to a new item online. Nonetheless, as the buyer confirms we told him he could certainly send it back regardless of him not reading before buying but customer became hostile and making threats and we are still waiting for the items return. Please Please Please just read what you are buying as this certainly was a waste of time and money for both parties for what is an easily preventable issue of read before you buy. We have over 99.6% on Amazon and Ebay as a TOP RATED SELLER and have over 3000 POSITIVE REVIEWS on our website so if providing a 1 year warranty for our customers so for those who are able to read the items description page and purchase the right model for their provider they don't have any issues, unfortunately this was not the case in this transaction. Very sorry for any confusion but unfortunately we don't and never have offered this item as new and in fact right on the items descriptioin page we do list this item to be in refurbished condition, provide a specific definition for such condition, and then also provide an item by item list of what would be included. The majority of our customers love this unit for Comcast but I can see how if you didn't read anything and just assumed it was new in a form that was never listed then you might be disappointed. This despite even being presented with a notice stating that before you can complete checkout please confirm that you have read the items description page word for word as you can't complete checkout from us without acknowledging or accepting such terms so that we can prevent these preventable misunderstanding from happening. However, we have also already issued an RMA to return the unit and are just waiting for it to arrive back so we can get the return processed and refunded for you. In reality we don't have this problem very often thank goodness and in fact have THOUSANDS OF POSITIVE REVIEWS on our website, over 95% positive feeback on Amazon, and are a Top rated seller on Ebay with years of taking care of our customers as you can't just "Fake" reviews on these sites but I understand how you would need to say that in order to make it look like you are not the 4% of people who just flat out didn't read what you were buying and then went on a witch hunt after the fact when you found out this was the case.
