Using this Frontier, hooked it up and went to surfing. I have 75 up and down, several sites agree that I'm doing better than that. I have a WiFi 5G router hooked up, I knew it didn't do 5G when I bought it. Happy with it. Recommended if you want to stop renting your router.
We're very happy with don't lease your modem. Despite both comcast and Verizon telling us we need to buy modems through them, both modems I've bought from this website have worked with no problems. I recently got hooked up with Century Link internet service. I had bought a Technicolor C2100T modem based on the recommendation of a friend. The Century-link hook-up with the modem worked without problem. The delivery of the modem was fast and the modem arrived in good order. The unit arrived in just a few days (to NYC) and was in good condition. The "Frontier" labeled unit worked to get my Verizon FIOS service started - no questions from the tech installer. While the router still had the previous user info like device address (that I deleted), everything else was set to default.
Had zero problems getting this modem to work with buyyourownmodem.com in Kansas. Worked fine in a 40 Mbps setup and now works perfect in a bonded VDSL 80 Mbps setup. I didn't try the wireless as I have my Nighthawk router hooked directly to it. Modem in good shape and shipping was fast too. Thanks!
It was delivered a day ahead of schedule and worked perfectly, in great shape. Couldn't be happier in regards to the service and the status of the modem. I am not a fan of the UI in the modem though. There are things that I could do with my Netgear that I can't do with this one, but NetGear doesn't do VDSL. So, there you go. It works well though. No issues at all.
"New" modem worked less than 2 months, would not let me return! It's useless and I'm out my money! Do not do business with this company!
I purchased Motorola Surfboard SBG6580 Docsis 3 remote range affirmed modem. I am extremely content with the nature of this item. The signs are exceptionally quick. I am a lot of happy with the free and quick conveyance administrations.
My goal was to keep Comcast hands off my wireless router. Using this modem I don't have to worry about Comcast using my Internet connection as a hotspot allowing people I don't know to use my Internet connection.
