In all fairness I changed out my modem with the exact same make and model number. I'm sure this did help. Overall the setup was simple and worth the small amount of effort.

Centurylink installed my DSL using my C1900A without a hitch. So far my connection is much more reliable than my Cable internet was. I have ot had to reboot my DSL to get Netflex to stream flawlessly. There a lot of configurations options for the C1900A that I have not yet addressed. But It is very easy to get into the Modem configuration screens Read more about review stating My C1900A Works Great! Via my browser.

I bought a router from this company. What arrived was a beat-up router (I'm not kidding, what did they do, throw it against the wall repeatedly?) with no instructions, no literature from the company, in an old box. I contacted them via email telling them I was sent the wrong product and asking for them to ship the new one I ordered. They told me, "... you knew you were buying a refurbished..." After three back and forth emails, I decided to call it a learning experience. They are the nastiest customer service I have ever experienced. They're not a respectable business and that's why I'm leaving this review. I'm out the money I sent them because they refused to send me a new modem. They operate the websites dontleaseyourmodem.com and buyyourownmodem.com. They probably have other domains they open up because of the terrible reviews. Within 30 minutes of posting this review, I got an email (they said it was from their "legal department"); clearly they're using intimidation to try to get people not to leave reviews.

Customer ordered an item from us and confirmed that he didn't perform the due diligence in reading the items description page BEFORE purchase as we provided the items condition, a specific definition of the items conditiion, and specifically list each and every accessory that would be included as buyer just ASSUMED based on price what condition might be but upon doing actual research you will find it is priced at a significant discount compared to a new item online. Please Please Please just read what you are buying as this certainly was a waste of time and money for both parties for what is an easily preventable issue of read before you buy. We have over 99.6% on Amazon and Ebay as a TOP RATED SELLER and have over 3000 POSITIVE REVIEWS on our website so if providing a 1 year warranty for our customers so for those who are able to read the items description page and purchase the right model for their provider they don't have any issues, unfortunately this was not the case in this transaction. So again, PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY AND COMMUNICATE BEFORE OPENING CASES AND MAKING THE SITUATION WORSE AND THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EASY RESOLVE.

I purchased an EMTA Cisco modem from buyyourownmodem for my Cox internet and telephone connection. When I called Cox to activate it, the tech support person told me that A. The modem's MAC was flagged as "Do Not Activate" because it was a used modem that had not been returned to Cox when the previous customer cancelled their service. B. They said that all EMTA modems should only be purchased from Cox and not from a 3rd party seller. So I returned my modem to buyyourownmodem with the above reasons and was still charged a 20% restocking fee and told the problem was all my fault. Buyyourownmodem should at least post a warning that this EMTA modem is not supported by Cox. Very poor customer service!

We are very sorry to hear that the model you purchased was not accepted by your provider. However, it appears that we don't list this model to work with your provider and then if you read your providers list of approved modems then you would also see that they state that they DO NOT accept third party telephone modems. Nonetheless, you went ahead and purchased this model for your provider despite everything telling you not to as this was not an "unreturned modem" but we buy modems from several providers including Cox as they phase them out as this is an older modem and as such they may have black listed them but we have installed several of this modem on other providers of which were listed right on the items description page. So unfortunately since you purchased this model despite everything telling you not to for this provider the item was returned as was in perfect working condition but was just purchased for the wrong provider which was totally preventable. As such, you were assessed a restocking fee per our purchase terms that were presented and accepted by you in order to complete checkout to cover the costs of a preventable return. Also, listed in our purchase terms it states that you are to contact your provider BEFORE PURCHASE to make sure they will accept a model of which you also failed to do which would have prevented this mishap for all parties and saved a lot of shipping and labor costs. Please please please perform the due diligence before making purchases as there were notices all over that could have prevented this.

T3200 Modem

Good product and arrived quick. The T3200 modem was an upgrade to our older Windstream modem. This one seems to be working faster with no downtime.

Realized I was paying $10 + monthly for modem. Got this compatible one and it was easy to switch over. Glad to return rented one despite 20 minute wait in line

I purchased an ARRIS TG1682G to replace my same model Comcast rental. It appears
To be new and unused, but did not come with packaging. After several attempts to
Install, thru the online setup, tech support, and online chat, Comcast had me convinced
I had one of their modems and that I had been ripped off. They said they couldn't help me install it because that model is only available thru rental from them. Finally I took it to the local Comcast store, along with my receipt. Within 5 minutes the tech in the store verified that it was NOT one of theirs, registered it to my account, and removed the billing for the rental. I took it home and with some help from a very polite Comcast tech support employee was able to be up and running within an hour.

Poor Customer Service
October 19, 2020

I paid for expedited shipping and I have yet to receive the modem. The tracking number I see shows that the item was out for delivery on the 15th and today is the 19th. I reached out to BYOM on the 18th and they responded that the item was delivered on the 15th. Out for delivery and delivered are two different status. Further, you can see that the tracking bar has not reached the final position.
