They will try to make you liable for the costs when they lose your case. They charge insane amount of money for the service and if they cannot recover all the winnings they charge you difference. They did not even provide amount they estimate they would go for.
I sent them an e mail to cancel ''agreement'' I do not remember agreeing to. They just assume you agree without reading agreement. How are they even allowed to operate? Weird!

UPDATED TO SAY - This claim was started on 5th July 2022. We just got into 2025 and im no further forwards. In fact worse than that, its gone backwards and things that was going to be included in my initial claim taken out. It seems to me that CAPX have some great telephony people who instantly send you a link to leave a review knowing full well thats the only way to get a good review.

Avoid using this company as there are many others out there taking less interest and actually completing in a more realistic time frame by hiring someone else.
After searching online CAPX seemed to be the most professional and upfront with fees. I guess I was wrong after all. Avoid CAPX

Capxrecovery initially was very positive with my case to draw me in but I was highly disappointed with the effort that was put into my fraud case. Their actions did not give me confidence at all and everything they did was something that could be done by a layman. The only difference was that they would take a huge chunk at the end. They were very quick to drop me as soon as the case was rejected and they didn't help me appeal.

They listen very carefull, but i dont know if they put any interest at all. They try to convince people to give them good ratings. I think is only few cases maybe they resolve.once the days they pass you forget about the review you give to them and if the case Is not solve by, by. If everyone will come back here change the rate with cases not solved, you will how the rate will go down.

Absolutely disappointed with Capxrecovery After so many months of lots of mails exchange I didn't even get a single penny back. I would ask people to try some others.

I have contacted Capxrecovery for recovering money lost via a crypto scam. I was very aware at the beginning that recovering lost money via crypto is very challenging, however the service I've received from Capxrecovery was very poor, especially in terms of communication. The company was very quick and eager at contacting me at the beginning, however when they started the process to recover the money they went completely radio silent. I had to constantly asked for updates and news, and when pushed via email Capxrecovery responded saying they were doing everything they could (although I had no idea what they were actually doing).
We went on for weeks without any contact or communication on their side, and when I reached out I would get some generic and vague updates, which made me seriously doubt they were actually actively doing anything for my case.

Of course I did not manage to get my money back, but this was not the real issue as I knew this was the most likely outcome. The lack of communication and professionalism really left me puzzled, I even got upset and angry a couple times expressing my frustration, but nothing changed. Still complete radio silence on their side and no updates or communication whatsoever. I'm really disappointed with the service here.

Terrible.

I've started my claim over 3 months ago and haven't heard anything since. When I chase them they say they will contact back but nothing.

Waste of time. I proved beyond doubt that my case was neglected by the council and they weren't interested.
They didn't want to take the case on.

I had a very disappointing experience with Capxrecovery and ended up canceling my contract with them within the allowed time frame. The lack of transparency from the start was alarming, and it only got worse. When I decided to cancel, their associate, Simon, called me and described my decision as "ridiculous." This kind of response was unprofessional and only reinforced my doubts. During our conversation, I repeatedly asked Simon to provide a success rate for cases like mine, specifically involving pig butchering schemes. He refused, claiming that each case is different.
While I understand that every situation is unique, I believe the common outcome in these cases is that people do not get their money back. This was further confirmed when law enforcement found the report from Capxrecovery not actionable and completely ignored it. Simon explained to me a linear process where law enforcement will request the KYC to reveal the identity of the scammers. He intentionally lied so I sign up for their services. Law enforcement won't even touch my case, and this is based on communication with local sheriff's department. I will acknowledge that they did track the transactions, but their communications were full of deception. I even proposed that their fees be based on the recovery of funds—an idea they quickly rejected. To me, this was a clear indication that they knew the money wouldn't be recovered. This left me feeling like I had been taken advantage of once again. In my opinion, Capxrecovery is no better than the scammers themselves. Ultimately, I feel like I wasted my money on this investigation, and I strongly recommend others not to hire Capxrecovery. The lack of transparency, dismissive attitude, and poor results make this company one to avoid.
Also, they will offer you legal advice and tax consultancy advise, reject all of those, they are either useless or incorrect. CAPXRECOVERY is in on the scam in some way.

Unfortunately, after two years of cooperation, Capxrecovery has not recovered a single dollar. The activity was limited to sending a few letters to banks and state offices. Without any effects. The most amazing thing is that the Company did not pursue or try to recover my funds from scammers. Sporadic e-mail contact ended half a year ago with complete silence and the cessation of any further activities. I regret that I chose this company and trusted them. I feel cheated a second time.
