I have used the card twice since I got it and have paid off the balance each time, but 2 months after getting it paid off my card was canceled due to inactivity... Wth? Inactivity? I just paid it off! Was about to use it again, but I don't have that opportunity anymore! I was told that it automatically canceles if you don't use it after a couple of months wtf kind of account/company is this! I'm so pissed!

Wow, I have never had an experience as bad as this. To save my pet's life, my vet referred me to CareCredit with zero % interest for 18 months. I set it up for auto payment from my account and didn't look online at the account for 4 months! Every month had interest and when I called they wouldn't take off the interest. Horrible customer service, I immediately paid the balance with a balance transfer from CapitalOne with no interest payment for 18month. I KNOW they wouldn't rip me off like CareCredit. Please stay away from these liers. Bad, bad, bad...

Be very careful in accepting credit from this organization. A Health Care provider had me use them to cover some medical procedures touting how there is no interest to be paid if you pay in full in a year-READ THE FINE PRINT-If you haven't paid the balance the off-the interest in only deferred-you'll get hit with a year's back interest-It's easy to lose track over the course of a year-I'm transferring me balance to another credit card

Spoke to a very patronizing, and condescending individual who said her name was"Maya" over a charge of $450.42 that popped up on my account overnight. She tried to give me a very slimy "gotcha" tactic to try to fraudsplain to me that it was all "interest charges on my account." I advised her that I was going to report them for their fraudulent behavior! My advise? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

Care Credit is a high interest credit card at 29.99%... close to 30% interest. It is not insurance. The company cheats the customer by changing the "deal" (promotion) each time you use the card. I was unaware of this until another doctor told me about the Care Credit scam. My doctor's receptionist told me the "deal" was for 2 years with no-interest but Care Credit changed the "deal's" due date to 6-12 months without my knowledge. They started calculating the interest at the point of sale which continued to add up each day. When Care Credit claimed the charge was due, the interest was already high. My $2000 charge accumulated $700 of interest in 4 months. Though, the interest was supposed to be deferred for another 7 months. No interest should have been charged. At that point my statement balance was only $808 but they still charged $700 interest 7 months before the deferred interest "deal" expired. Care Credit changed the "deal" without my knowledge and changed the due date so it would expire earlier. Care Credit refused to remove the interest, even during Covid 19 when we had close to 1000 people dying each day in NYC. They send numerous emails each month to entice you into charging more with Care Credit and use gambling tactics so you can "win", "win", "win" something "free." Reputable companies do not use tactics like this.

I wrote a review in 2016 complaining about them charging me a 250 dollar late fee. I just came across the review and thought i would revise it for anyone who has read it. I did not have a 250 dollar late fee but it appeared that way online and when i called to try to understand why my payment was 250 dollars more than it was supposed to be i was told by several representatives that it was because of my late fee so naturally thats what I thought it was.
Turns out 2 months ot payments were combined into one plus a 60 dollar late fee and that is why the bill was so high. I would have been more understanding of that but they have the worst customer service on the planet and i think it took a week and like 10 different customer service representatives to finally get one that was able to explain that to me clearly.
I am still paying off my bill with this company and after almost 2 years i still do not like them.
Ive ran into so many hidden fees & customer service has continued to be very unhelpful!

What company issues a great and useful card and when using that card and having a perfect payment history closes your account for NO REASON WITHIN 5 months of paying it off? CARE CREDIT DOES and this is how they show their appreciation for your business! Way To Go CARE CREDIT! We LOVE your nasty business practices and how deplorable you TREAT YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS!
Tip for consumers:

My bill keeps going higher even though I make my payments. You cannot bring the amount down if they charge you more each month than what you pay. 100% a ripoff and NEVER get this card.

I regret getting this card. Im almost paying off my braces until emergency came up. I only have 6 months to pay off the new (charges to my account= DEFFERED) so now that promotional is over, im paying a heavy int charge.
DO NOT GET THEM!

Made EVERY SINGLE payment on time AND paid off my card. They closed it with no warning due to my credit report getting BETTER... and they claimed it's because if what was on the report, which is close to what was on it when I opened the account with a lower credit score. Way to take away someone's ability to pay for medical bills and vet bills Care Credit. You absolutely DO NOT CARE!

I had to have the care credit card for a few years and generally I would give a five star rating but the moment I actually had to use the card for a very big emergency surgery for my dog which cost $4000 of my card credit limit… The first purchase was $1500 at the first time we went to the emergency care And it said I had six months to pay that off. I paid that much money within the six months however, they did not apply that money to that purchase. Instead, they applied any payment I made to the other purchases, which had a fixed percentage rate, and no due date for zero interest. When I called to clarify why the promotional balance was not going down after all of the payments that I made, I was told there was allocated money going to the Larger amounts first. So even though I paid a few hundred dollars every month to pay off the promotional balance which had a timeframe most of my monthly payment was going towards the purchases with no timeframe any fixed interest rate. When I agreed to the terms of the promotional balance. They made it clear that it would be paid off first and the other ones would be paid off however, long it took me. I was lied to, and this led about the terms of the agreement. I do not recommend this credit card to anyone who can avoid it. They know exactly how to get the interest money from their clients and they know exactly how to screw you over.

COMPLETE RIP-OFF! These people have no souls. They charge you interest PLUS exorbitant late fees, which amounts to you paying $1,200 per year and your bill does not go down! DO NOT USE CARECREDIT / MYSYNCHRONY!

Avoid getting a card with this company!
They are crooks... Will take your money even after turning off autopay!
Interest rates are so high, you can never get ahead.

Unfortunately I acquired several expenses with this card as one of my dogs got very sick and needed urgent care. I took advantage of the fact they offered different promotions and made the "smaller" purchases under a no interest if paid in full within 6 months promotion and the "larger" purchase with fixed monthly payments and interest charges. I have always paid my statements on time and way above the minimum payment so I can pay this debt off fast. However, ever since I made the big purchase, their customer service representatives lie to me about the payment allocations that are being made with my payments. I pay off the minimum fixed payment on the big purchase and would like the rest of my payment allocated to the smaller purchases (something I confirmed with the company could be done before I made the purchases) and even though they claim they have done it, they never do! I have to call them 5 or 6 times per billing cycle to get their mistake rectified and in some cases they still don't fix it and once the new statement comes out there is nothing to be done. They have also lied about other issues. It is a nightmare!

I signed up with my dental surgeon for this credit. My dental implants cost $7800. I was under the understanding that I had 12 months to pay it off and if I made my payments on time it would be interest free. I set up auto pay and every payment was made on time. I never received any notice or indication that my "introductory 0% rate" was ending (6 months early). While downloading my statements for my 2017 financials I noticed an interest charge of $1088 in January 2018, which was 6 mos interest at 26.99%! They have charged interest in Feb and Mar at this usury rate. If I had been given a notification, I would have paid it off with cash or a lower rate credit card! They claim to not have this 1 year program and that they have been sending me my statements monthly by email and that the statement before they charged the interest had a notice on it. I said I've not received monthly statements by email and they said I should have notified them of that before the interest was charged. They said there is nothing they can do. I'll never use them again and I'm talking to my doctor to verify that I had signed up for 12 mos. Never again!

Dear CareCredit/Synchrony Bank,
Closing my account just all of a sudden without any warning is slimey, shady, and disrespectful. You closed my CareCredit account because of issues that are impacting my credit score. These same issues weren't a problem before, but since my situation has not gotten better you'd rather just compound the issue even more. I have no health insurance. I depended on the Care Credit to help me make paying my bills manageable. I've never been delinquent, had a past due account, account closure or anything else that might cause concern. I will not be doing business with your brand moving forward. I will inform as many people as I can to about your shady practices. I can't control that I have student loans or lost work because of the pandemic. That is beyond my control. You all should be shutdown, fined, and jailed / sent to prison. You are nothing more than a pile of excrement. When my credit improves and everything else is under control, I will never do business with your company or CareCredit! This is the second time I've had an account that was associated with Synchrony Bank that has been closed out. I advise prospective customers and current customers to run as far away as possible! They are not interested in providing anything but pain, misery, and malice! Go ahead and just them both down!
Tip for consumers:
Nothing more needs to be said at this time.

This trash company had staff admit me being charged in full was a bug after I set up auto pay 2 times and it took the whole amount out 2 months in a row. I had emails proving I set it up and recorded all conversations. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I never got a phone call back by their "specialists" at any time. They closed my account still and have no sense of responsibility. Use this service if you want to be scammed out of your money so they can take 3 weeks to give it back to you and then do it again the next month

I've had this card for about a year. Went from a $800 limit to $1600. Never had issues with being charged late fees or anything. I was really happy with this card... until today! Went online to check something in my account and found they had reduced my limit by almost half. No warning, no explanation, NOTHING! I've NEVER been late on a payment, most times paying more than what was asked and even made more than one payment per month and this is what I get for that. I've been nothing less than a perfect customer and this is what they do to me. The explanation I got when I called to question it was that they checked my credit (without my knowledge) and decided to lower my limit. Because they cut my credit in half it also dropped my credit score thanks for screwing me! I don't even know what they found to justify lowering it. There's nothing different on my report that when I initially applied for the card. So, I get punished for being an excellent customer. Nice going and way to take care of your customers!

Care Credit users beware! Interest at 26.99% & $25-$39 late fees charged! Check your statement's due date & charges carefully!
For convenience I used Care Credit for a dentistry bill. All went fine with my automatic monthly payment through my bank. No interest, no late fees. After it was paid I again used it for husband's new glasses. I set up a similar payment schedule for the glasses, same date with different monthly amount, of course. On a fixed income, automatic payments are a must for me.
I was unaware that, unlike normal credit cards, the payment date did not remain the same & had changed to 4 days before I had scheduled the automatic payments. I received no late payment notices, but over a 6 month period I was charged $158 in late fees! The initial statement for the glasses included a $55 payment that was not even due till the next month! Yet they are saying that the early $55 payment does not count as payment for the next month. That amount was over twice the minimum payment amount, but all that gets me is a "thank you".
Yes, I should have looked carefully at the statements that were emailed to me, but I was thinking "Credit card - same pay date - all set up with my bank" & just skimmed over the statements. I did not check the statements until I saw that their balance was much different than mine. I called them & was able to have the outstanding balance waived & set to zero, but that did not cover all of the late charges. They will not refund me nearly $70 in over payments.
Just a warning for other Care Credit card users.
