Difficult if not impossible to access due to impenetrable IVR system and the third party providing credit card is twice as bad. Plus, they are only accessible for assistance with such trivial matters as login (because they upgraded their system and disabled user names) is M-F when the rest of us are working. Totally unacceptable. Obviously they need competitors.

I received my Care Credit card six years ago and use it often, especially at my Vet's office. There has never been a problem. I always pay more than the required minimum and have never paid any interest thus far. I think they are wonderful, and I'm so thankful to have my Care Credit card.

This is such a sketchy, sneaky company. They say no interest if the payment is completed before promotional period- never make it clear that interest is on FULL AMOUNT. They are fine to send you texts and emails every month about the payment, but when the promotional period is ending, they never expressly tell you. They want to keep everything hidden so you get screwed. And the customer service is cold, heartless, and rude. Sketchy sketchy company

This company has the worst customer service I ever dealt with. Not only is customer service bad, but also their Supervisors. As I write this review I had been hanged up 7 times and that's after I made a large payment cuz they can't add on simple math balances. The word "Care" should be eliminated and just "Card" and they don't care.

I didn't think it could bad to worse with this card but it did. My wife has a card in her name but cannot talk to their customer service without my expressed permission. Yesterday we were out of town at a specialized clinic and try to pay a vet bill and CareCredit denied approval because my cell phone number did not match theirs. (I've had CC for years and changed my cell phone last year) All other info matched, I was told to go home (150 miles) and make a call from our other phone, which is a land line! Then we were told we had fraudulent charges on our card but refused to tell us what they are. Now we have a hold on our cards for no reason whatsoever because we did nothing! Ok, they are being reported to the BBB. Cards are being shredded. This company is not truthful. Horrible to do business with.

They commit the crime of usury. Now 30% interest rates, teaser rates when you first start. I paid 2 1/4 times the minimum on a dental bill and ended up owing $168 more on my bill after the payment. They were once reliable. Now they are the equivalent of a Pay Day Loan service for medical bills. They are not a solution!

On a "no interest if payed in full" til sep of this year. Was a day late one month and paid the $27 late fee. Somehow, 3 months later, I've accured 11$ of non promotional balance. Not sure how this is when i paid the late fee immediately. I've contacted them about this and hoping for a refund of the 11$. It makes no sense to me why I even had the interest in my account in the first place. It seems as if they are trying to pull the wool over my
Eyes to keep me owing more. Makes me feel iffy about trusting them. Love the promotional perks but seriously. Where did this hidden interest charge come from? The fact that the "interest" would only be like $0.69 but the min interest charge is $2. What a rip off!

I only use this account for emergencies. It's sad that now in the time of an emergency I've come to learn that the company lowered my credit line so I cant use the account to help me with anything. It's the first time I've ever had anything like this happen to an account and it's too bad cause I will probably close it after paying it off. Why have an emergency credit line when it's not reliable due to the company being able to change the credit whenever they see fit.

Tip for consumers:
If theres no other options then ok but if you can avoid it I really would. They may be good for one experience but can change things by the time you use it next

Absolutely horrible company. The Animal Medical Center "mistakenly" entered 24 months for 26 APR (more than my current credit card), and not the 6 month interest fee I requested. I called both AMC and care credit, neither would give me a credit for the interest charged. Interest that was charged before a month. I can't tell if its neglect, apathy or scam charging, whatever the case I wont be using it again. I intend to sign up for the Wells Fargo Health Advantage Card, which others have told me is less predatory.

Whatever you do don't work with this service. I would have given them 0 stars... they will close your account with no warning and it will ruin your credit. I had perfect credit but due to inactivity they closed my account and now I'm at the bottom. This is the worst credit card company I've used. Save yourself the trouble and don't use them.

We have been periodically using Care Credit since 2012 and always take advantage of their promotions. Never has there ever been a problem. People do not understand the promotional balance needs to be completely paid by the expiration date. If there is $1 not paid, you then will be charged interest on the whole amount from the day the promotion started! Payments also need to be paid on time each month! It's a win win deal if you follow the rules. If you pay late or don't pay off the balance before the promotion ends, you will pay!

Never once late on a payment. Always charged and payed my card off immediately. Yet my account was closed. Why? Because my credit score dropped. So never missing a payment didnt matter to them. When I called to see why they said we sent you an email. Do you know how many emails I get a day? I didn't even see it. For a company that is supposed to help people who are struggling to pay for medical bills they sure are no help. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.

My vet suggested I use Carecredit for no interest funds for 6 months. I tried to apply online and they inserted someone else's email address as my primary email address. There was no help number I could call. I tried to apply online and half way through the application it kicked me out like it crashed. Again, NO phone number to call. Then I looked at real reviews - I am so happy I never completed the application process/. Hopefully when we get consumer orientated government back then can investigates consumer scams.

The oral surgeon promoted the care credit promotion of no interest if paid off in 12 months. I signed up for autopay using their calculator of amount needed per month to pay in full by the year. Somewhere along the line, it changed to minimum due. I never noticed it because I got e-statements and my email said my auto payment had paid. No indicator of amount. So, I now owed more than the original amount. Be aware of these promotions.

Don't get one of these. They send the bills at different times every month. Several times now my bill has arrived after the due date on the bill by about 3 days. SO now, AGAIN, they have charged me a late fee of $79.00. Almost $80.00 late fee when my bill arrived after the due date? The interest is 26% and at this point I have paid for my emergency dental procedures at least twice, with no end in sight. I have tried to call and after being on hold for a very long time, I couldn't speak to anyone that spoke much English. I had no clue what he was saying, and there's office to visit in person. Horrible, unethical, thieves. Evil company & practices

Contacted customer service back in October 2021. We could not make payments since the family had covid. Missed 2 months payment and in 12/2021 was charged over 500.00 interest then again same amount of interest in 1/2022! I spoke with customer service at length and could not get a clear answer for the erroneous interest charges billed. I now have a high balance mainly with interest charges and wish I never used CareCredit to pay for my dental. This company is a scam!

I don't know if the credit company these places that are shilling these so called credit cards are all in one place figuring out how to ruin your credit report the fastest way possible. I just got off the phone with these crooks and was told I can't use a line of credit they approved for. I was told that I have been dumped in a year and when I needed them the most. They try to sell me another line of credit and I still have the mark on my credit report they gave me last time. So that would mean 2 hard inquires in less than 2 years from the same place. I was told that they are a private fiduciary and are not playing by the same rules. WOW so much for your help after you bait me in at the time was told it was soft hit and would not count. Looking later there it is on the report and don't forget the places that allow this sh@# to go on. They all are gaining something off of it. So screw ya I can use the cash back rewards on my REAL CREDIT CARD.

DO NOT use this company! I took advantage of a "promotion" and tried their card for a medical procedure and out of no where I just received an $860 INTEREST charge on my $900 balance. They back tracked 18 months of "interest free" and charged me. No warning or anything and no one can help me. I just spoke to them on the phone and the woman could care less. I'm so upset. DO NOT FALL for this like I did. I'm upset that my Dr.'s office even suggested this for me.

I've been a Care Credit Customer for many years and have never been late for a payment and have always paid my balance in full before the end of the agreement. This one time, I missed it and they said there was a 30 day grace period and I missed it by 7 days. They charged about $330 in interest when I only owed $800. I was actually getting ready to start a new agreement for another medical charge after I paid the $800 balance. Even though I said I was going to pay that in full and start a new agreement, they still charged the $330. So guess what, I am not going to use them again. They lost my business and they get a 1 star review.

My husband and I have had a carecredit card for almost 2 years now. We have not used the account in 2 months and they canceled the card randomly with no reasoning. Our credit took a huge hit from this. If you are not going to use the card 24/7 DO NOT get the card. On the bright side our credit limit was 200 which is super low considering we have upper 700 credit scores and very decent income. Spare yourself the hassle and look for other financing options.

This company along with Synchrony Bank is maliciously deceptive. Initially they offer an interest free loan. However, my experience was 3/4 of the way through they changed the interest free period from 24 months to 18 months. After calling customer service to try to rectify the time frame to no avail, I opted to pay the principle balance due in full ($2,000). Shortly thereafter I received a bill totaling approx. $4,600. For interest due and they actually applied my $2,000 payment in full toward the $4,600 "interest" due amount! I made every payment "on time" beforehand and the amount of the initial loan was $7,600. They charged 26% interest on the original loan amount! I have written to all parties concerned but have not heard from Care Credit nor Synchrony Bank to date. I will take further legal action. Consumer BEWARE!

They give you a promotional period of 0% interest, sounds great. However if you don't keep that date in mind you'll be charged all the back log interest, they don't send separate notices that this is about to occur, instead they put in tiny writing on your monthly that your promotional period will be ending soon. And if you're like me and don't rely on your statements to pay, you instead just log into the app each month or even Have it on auto pay then you're screwed. Thanks a bunch card credit, for being so sneaky and sleezy.

These people are like loan sharks! It's hard to get the balance down unless you do what I did and make a large lump payment. I SHOULD have a bunch of available credit on my account because I have a zero balance. I took my cat to the vet and tried to use my Care Credit card for a $500+ bill. It was declined. I called Synchrony Bank and they said there's a hold on my previous payment, and that any time you make a payment of more than $500, they put a hold on it. OK, but they received it almost 2 weeks ago and the payment cleared my bank, so what's the problem? Then I was told that because there had been a delinquency on the account in the past 6 months, the hold could not be lifted. WHAT? The account is paid in full including any exhorbitant interest and late fees that might have accrued (my payment record for that account shows no late payments). They're just inept and crooked. I will use another credit card and just let Synchrony close this account. Enough already.

I charged 250 on the card at the vets office cause our dog was really sick, i have paid over 436 dollars now and still somehow owe 213... talked to customer service and was informed that since i made my payments after 5pm on the due date they were considered to be late and had over 300 dollars in late fees. I wanted to jump through the phone and scream at this person cause that is outrages. She said she was sorry there was nothing i could do... So i have Cancelled this card and will never be applying for another one and letting my friends and family know to never get one of these. This company is just trying to rip people off and steal their hard earned money. But that is 90% of companies now a days anyway!
