I submitted my resume to dozens of jobs through this website, and although some of the replies I received back were marketing jobs that didn't match my original request, I also received many emails and phone calls for legitimate positions. Within a week I had two interviews every day, and now I'm happily employed. I searched on indeed.com for a month and never received a single reply, so I'm happy this website actually worked.
I kept getting fake job offers I finally called one out as a scam. He threatened me and said he had my address and was coming to my house! Career builder does nothing about it. Remove your resume now!
I have always used indeed, and have found jobs easily on there. I honestly didn't even know that you could get so many scam calls, emails, and text messages from a work site. I never had issues like that with indeed or LinkedIn. They really need to fix hoe people are able to post jobs. Will never recommend
I've used several career services sites, and none of them except this one has so many scam calls. Yes, I may get an email here and there from the other websites. But CareerBuilder takes the cake! I was receiving scam calls and emails almost every day. So, I deleted my information and the account. Do yourself a favor and use another employment website.
Tip for consumers:
Beware of scams. I did not fall for any, but some people may.
I wish I would have checked these reviews before signing a contract with CareerBuilder. If I could give less than one star, I would.
To start with the agent, I signed up with immediately stopped responding to me. I had to trace down and track down managers who were unresponsive and didn't call me back. I finally came upon someone who tried to help me, but I got very minimal traction from this platform. The service was terrible and it was a complete waste, frustration and loss.
I've been trying to dispute the charges and to no avail. I would stay away from this platform because they do not really care about their customers.
Tip for consumers:
It has been such a frustrating experience and I’m shocked a business can function like that.

I'm not even on this website at all and keep getting calls from out of country folks asking if I have time to talk and that they found me on here... When i ask them why and what company they're from, they don't answer with a straight answer.
We paid over $3000 for what as promised us "large number of qualified automotive technicians".
The truth is that your so-called automotive technicians are a true joke; what we find is "technicians" such as "IT technicians" or facility maintenance technicians... or even worse, many of your so-called qualified applicants are from a different countries. When asked for help from your sales people the answer was very simple - we can't find it either, but you signed a contract so pay or your credit score is going to be effected.
Career Builder is SELLING your information.
In three days I've had 6 scams.
Contacted them, thru email. They take no responsibility, just say, yeah they use our logo.
Seriously, it's hard enough finding a job. Now MY job is to weed out Career Builder scams
Your resume and all that information will be stolen. I made a huge mistake, never ever consider to visit this careerbuilder site!
When I was searching for a website that would allow to apply multiple companies at once I came to this website. Also, on their page they have the link in the footer saying "do not want to sell your data" something like that and then it will give you a quote price to remove your information. I think they will never do it once they've got you.
You deserve no stars, but couldn't post without at least 1. I was suppose to get free trial never did, I logged in on 10/27/23 and made sure not set on auto renew, then still got billed anyways. Never received 1 single application for a client service representative (easy job to get applications for) and then got billed for 2 months of nothing and I will be disputing with cc company! You are a scammer!
Tip for consumers:
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!

I've been receiving a lot of text messages from companies I never applied to. They claim to have gotten my resume and information from CareerBuilder even when I never submitted any documents on their website.
The second day I registered I got several messages said they found my resume on career builder and request me to download some chat app and to chat interview. I checked online the company are real but there is no similar positions posted. When I asked the 'recruiter' send me email to verify they just disappeared.
Definitely fraudulent.

The company allows flexible working hours/places with client's consent. Payment is matching the market rate. Easy to communicate with management and get yourself heard. The team is great, learning and work is so enjoyable.
Only downside is that you might face the risk of being on bench when your project is completed.
I was about to apply for a job that was posted on CareerBuilder. In reviewing the job requirements, I was suspicious of the wording / phrasing (it was very generic). I highlighted a large section of test and searched for in through Google. Sure enough, the first result lead me to a website that offered to teach how to put out a job description. There was no legitimate company behind the job ad. I can only imagine what this "company" is doing to people's personal information when they submit their resumes.
They have called me twice. Said I would get an email daily about jobs. I have never received one. All I have gotten is schools calling. I need a job and then maybe getting more education. Very disappointed.
Jobseekers beware. Do not post your resumes here. You are only setting up yourself to be targeted by "HR/Directors/Recruiters/Sales" from multilevel marketing companies, all sorts of insurance companies (eg. American Income, Farmers, Colonial Life), shady virtual assistant jobs and worse--things that may not have anything to do with your education or career goals. Their spammy phishing emails continue for days, weeks, and months. I closed my CareerBuilder account for not wanting to deal with junk every day.
Tip for consumers:
Do not provide your email and phone numbers on CareerBuilder

Job board service--there is no protection for applicants who upload their resumes, their emails and phone numbers circulate over the internet
For every job I've applied for on CareerBuilder there was a download a wire or provide info that's already on my resume? There are CB staff that's behind this because the staff is not supportive and I keep getting these BS checks these clowns think I'm depositing in my bank? Come on CareerBuilder? Do better!

My experience was really bad and when I asked them to make it right they said two times that they would give me a discount off future products (not going to buy any more services!). I did not get the services I paid for and was stuck in a contract for 3 months.

If I could give a minus instead of a 1 I would

I finally deleted my account. Not only are the salary's listed almost 100% false ($140K for an admin assistant?), I started getting numerous "job leads" via email that turned out to be completely ridiculous. If they had even glanced at my resume, they would have known that the jobs they were sending me made no sense at all! I then started getting texts. They would not say who they were, and were very vague about who they represented (and never who they worked for). After I asked some questions, they started to get nasty! I told them to remove me from their list and I blocked their numbers. This has never happened on LinkedIn. It's bad enough looking for a job in this climate. I certainly don't need to be hassled by these so-called "recruiters". CareerBuilder needs to screen these people. Good riddance.
I posted my resume on the site. I have been overwhelmed by scam emails, for crap jobs that have absolutely no relation to my resume and skill set. Careerbuilder needs to get serious about blocking these scammers but there isn't even a portal to report the scams coming from this site. What unbelievable bull$#*!. Hire some cybersecurity people.
Today is 2/11/23. Since posting my review January 24th, I have received many more fake job interview requests by text and email, even though I keep blocking. For several of the last "jobs" where the scammers pose as representing a real company, I have reached out to the real company and provide copies of the email or text thread so that the company can take legal action (I'm an attorney, and this is my hobby). I have also file a complaint against CareerBuilder.com with FTC.GOV. If you are looking for a legitimate job board, try pleases like Indeed or Glassdoor.
Tip for consumers:
Do NOT sign up with this alleged job site. Use a legitimate one, instead, such as Indeed.com or Glassdoor.com

Beware before you post your resume on careerbuilder. From the moment I uploaded my resume I have been called and e-mailed by companies for jobs that are no where near my profession. I get cold calls from people who won't tell me who they are or what type of job it is, but they want me to set up an interview. Usually they end up trying to convince me to become an owner or work for a terrible salary as an entry level insurance agent. If you are an experienced professional look for a legitimate job in your career field, DO NOT use careerbuilder. I had to deactivate my account and they still call me.
I've gotten nothing since applying on this site but text messages (!) from fake companies just phishing for my info. I've received emails with the same going on. A few years back there was a legitimate posting but it actually was more of an ad that appeared as a banner on the page for a government job. But now I've gotten nothing but feeling like my personal info has been accessed by people from other countries and it is very unsettling. I literally could've not used the site and saved myself the grief.
All of the jobs that I've applied to have been a scam. Most of the job listings don't even state the company that they're advertising for. I keep getting scam/ shady texts/ emails from "recruiters" or "hiring managers" asking for personal information or offer the job right away so they can get more information. It is making the job search really difficult and frustrating. I wouldn't trust this site.
Career builder is so confusing and frustrating I have seen many jobs of interest but when time to apply it routes me to some other page to sign on. I have no idea how to actually only apply for a specific position so end up leaving site everytime. Truly thinking about deactivating account as it purpose is not serving me effectively. Very disappointed because some of these job I really have a chance at.
CareerBuilder is the worse job-hunting site that I've had the misfortune of interacting with. I'm in a technical field, and in a niche. The job matches are consistently poor and arrive 3 to 5 times per day. Only about 1% of the 25 to 150 alleged matches are remotely close. CareerBuilder also will send a message that is titled "Company X is interested in you!"... a complete lie. They company is not interested, nor did it even look at your resume. It's just CareerBuilder falsely informing you that they've matched you to the job. And if all of that wasn't bad enough, the flood of job-spam that ends up in your mailbox exceeds the amount of junk actually sent by CareerBuilder. And most of the job-spam is about completely unrelated alleged jobs (usually in the "insurance sales" arena). And after a bit of investigation prove to be nothing more than pyramid schemes.
Tip for consumers:
Do not bother signing up at CareerBuilder unless you want your inbox to fill with SPAM. But if you do create an email address specifically for CareerBuilder, then later you can just delete the entire thing.
