I submitted my resume to dozens of jobs through this website, and although some of the replies I received back were marketing jobs that didn't match my original request, I also received many emails and phone calls for legitimate positions. Within a week I had two interviews every day, and now I'm happily employed. I searched on indeed.com for a month and never received a single reply, so I'm happy this website actually worked.
I kept getting fake job offers I finally called one out as a scam. He threatened me and said he had my address and was coming to my house! Career builder does nothing about it. Remove your resume now!
They ask for money for subscribtion, if paid than asked more amount for advance subscription. Dont believe such kind of website who provide you job.
I get about one scam text a week saying they saw my resume on Career Builders. All are very similar; The companies they say they represent are large global companies easily found on line so it appears legit. They want to do a text interview now which I agree to. Questions are softball. (Almost like what is the color of George Washington's white horse)They always say great answers. They will notify HR about me. An hour later I am hired. They'll send me a check for computer supplies. I asked the first company why don't you just buy the computers and they said this way they can verify that I am a good and honest person. In this first case I found reviews for the interview for that company on Glassdoor. There was a posting about how unusual their text interview was but they said it worked out. I almost bought it but when they said they'll send me a check I knew it was a scam. Of course anybody can post that.
The latest one is a little different making an appointment for the interview and they will text me information as to how the interview will be conducted. In the offshot chance it's legit I scheduled it and am waiting for verification.
The last few I have called them out on their scam.
Noteworthy they all say the salary is about $28/ hour but $24 during training. The jobs I am applying for are for remote data entry, although salaries like that are possible but not probable.
I have attempted to notify the companies so they know that their company name is being used nefariously. One company thanked me while others didn't respond at all.
I give the review one star as Career Builder should be able to block scammers from seeing job seekers resumes. They never say they found my resume on indeed.

I think I said it all

Job seeking
90% of jobs are not even open false information. Phishing to get your information, never found a job even hiring threw this website.
I posted my resume, got scammed by somebody... I supposedly got hired to work from I got ripped for 1,300. Dollars. Use at your own risk
Everything on the site is a scam. Every job I applied to came back as a scam. They do not vet their employers that are posting to the site.
Months ago I uploaded my resume on CareerBuilder after not having much luck on other sites. Literally the next day, I received numerous text messages for jobs (despite opting out of allowing texting) and emails. All data entry job scams and 'sales opportunities'.
After a few weeks of not getting anything but scams sent to me, I decided to take my information and resume off the site. Low and behold, CareerBuilder does not allow you to take your resume down yourself once you upload it. You have to fill out a form online asking for them to remove your information and resume. This alone is such a red flag, and should be grounds for a class action lawsuit. Why can I not take my OWN RESUME THAT I UPLOADED off of the website? It makes zero sense to me at all, how does this help users? After filling out this form, weeks later I received an email saying it is taking longer than expected, and that it would be another 30 days to take my account off their site. Are you joking? My assumption is that they get a flood of requests constantly because people come to the same realization that I did, and they can't keep up.
Ever since, I now get at least 3 phone calls a day from different numbers with the same area code and close to the same digits for the rest of the number. All of them immediately hang up when I answer. I block every single number, yet after months, I'm still getting calls EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. From new similar numbers to those I've already blocked.
My list of blocked numbers is astronomical at this point, and I cannot believe that just from uploading my resume on CareerBuilder, that I'm truly considering getting a new phone number due to all of these calls.
Reader, please DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT use CareerBuilder. You will have your information stored and so easily accessible to scammers, and you can't take down your own resume once you put it in. Literally any other job website is better than this one. I hope one day there is a class action lawsuit filed against this company because their practices are foul, and they obviously do not care about their users data security at all.

This is the worst company I've ever worked for in my 35 yrs. Sales Career. They operate in pure chaos, the right had didn't know what the left hand is doing from one department to another. OMG they don't take care or listen to their customers. They have serious financial problems which lead to a layoff of mid- management in 2022 and then another layoff seven months later. All due to no growth their customers weren't renewing due to their product doesn't work and their service horrible. In some case it would take them months to come up with a solution to a customers problem with the CB platform, they cutoff customers service whom had prepaid for the year, they switch the customers around often, which the customers complained about along with complaining about no one at CB knew anything, they couldn't get their questions answered and no one ever called them back. They keep their sales team tied up in meetings & training all the time. Executive management and the sales managers ran CB in the ground by not knowing what they were doing & continuing to do the same thing over & over. They were throwing any and everything up against the wall to try to get their customers to renew@ a cost of 50% more...Which was ludicrous!
They lost 7M in revenue in the month of December from customers not renewing. No one in Executive management or the management team had the intellect to listen to their customers, fix the communication issues from department to department, stop all the meetings and trainings so the sales team could be in front of their customers selling and trying to fix their issues and you can't have a technical product with the techs reading from documents trying to figure out how to fix the problem. It's said that poor management and lack of intelligence, egos and controlling mangers ruined this company that started off the Talent Acquisition Platform Industry. Last but not least they rip you off big time when it comes to your commission. I give them 1 star but really they don't deserve that.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from CB as far as working for them and HR departments beware which a lot of them already are.

To make a long story short because I've already tried typing this review on other sites, and I'm tired of my reviews being deleted. I recently was contacted about a job offer at Tanium INC via text to be an administrative assistant. I got as far as my 3rd day, before I was "paid." I even signed my name on a scanned document for this job. Thank God I didn't deposit the $4,000 cashiers check they emailed for 3 days of work. I didn't give out my social security number either, which they didn't ask me for. They contacted me via text by the name Thomas Stanley, who actually works for the company. However, somebody is using Thomas Stanley's name to fake recruit & scam "employees." I'm pissed I even gave them my name, address & telephone number, but it could have been worse. NEVER ACCEPT A CHECK BY EMAIL ITS NOT OFFICIAL. Job was $22/hr training and $50/hr after. I should've known, if it looks to good to be true it REALLY IS. These people said they saw my resume on Career Builder. I've been logging on for 3 days straight, via Zoom to do BS "assignments" (typing essays) on being an administrative assistant. They "paid" me on day 3, $4,000. Called the bank on the misspelled check and they confirmed it was fake and had received a call earlier about the same thing. I asked if "employer" (TANIUM INC) THOMAS STANLEY had time for a video call so I can see who I'm speaking with. They THEN, called from a texting app, instead of a company phone, and it was a heavy accented african man on the line. The real Thomas Stanley at Tanium INC looks American to me. HERE ARE THE EMAILS THEY CONTACTED ME FROM!
ALSO, you should NEVER have to screenshot to confirm you received paychecks or depositing info. SENDER/EMPLOYER should be able to SEE that from their own end, on their own!
I'm deleting career builder and sticking with Indeed. This is the first time this has happened to me.
SCAM. BEWARE.
Completely unrealistic quotas
Complete Lack of qualified leadership
Terrible Terrible company culture
Way way way below average pay
