I would like 👍 to thank Kobe and Luis and their team of Car sales professionals for going above and beyond to provide a contract to meet our family needs. I will recommend Karplus Auto in San Fernando Valley to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle 🚗.
I listed with CarGurus as a private seller not once, but twice on the same car. First time I listed the car at my own price, and they gave me a good price rating two days later after my payment had cleared to them. It was dropped to a fair price. So I canceled the ad until I could afford to lower the price a month later I relisted the vehicle at their suggested price which they gave me a good price rating again, but when my payment cleared, the rating was dropped to a fair deal rating again. When I called, they said it had nothing to do with anything but the fair market value. It's awful funny how the fair market value could change after two days not once but twice! Sellers Beware this site is a scam!
I checked several places for a quote to sell my car. Car Gurus was the highest. I accepted the offer, submitted information online and scheduled a pick up. I received a FedEx package two days later and the driver called to confirm. However, the morning of pick up no one showed. I called and they apologized and scheduled another driver for the same day. I was slightly inconvenienced, but the new driver was wonderful. Went through all the steps, signed my Bill of Sale and the money was in my bank account the next morning. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the experience. I would have rated a 5 if there hadn't been the first driver hiccup.
I'm so happy I found a 2012 Honda Civic ex-l on car gurus. The man I bought it from privately did such a good job getting the car ready for me. The car is 2012 but is like brand new. So glad I found car gurus to buy great used car.
I have changed my review for a shady dealership 3 times to get it approved through their very strict vetting process. I almost have to write a positive review to get it approved. I did not even give an opinion about the dealership. I just gave facts about the car that was sold and that's it. It is ridiculous.
Drove 2 hours to see a car that was not as pictured on the site and did not have the equipment as stated in the ad. Dealer advised me that they do not directly post on Cargurus and have nothing to do with what is posted on their site.
Was trying to post a dealer review, Car Gurus requested an email address where I had contacted the dealer. I provided it and they said I had never contacted the dealer. Car Gurus are liars, I still have the emails on my computer. Would not trust any information on their site.
CarGurus are you nuts? Double the rate after one year? You are not the only game in town, we are going with another source. More & more dealers will follow. You are not that good to begin with & barely worth the price you charge now.
They go by how much they get paid by the dealer. This company is fake with fake deals. If you look deep in the market you find better priced vehicles listed on cargurus from different or smaller dealers. You can't find it on the home page I think cuz they don't pay them as much as big dealers
EVERYONE BE WARNED
The online car site cargurus is a fraud.
I listed a nice 2005 Ford Mustang convertible and today I get an email that says I must prove that I actually own/possess the vehicle by sending them a photo of a piece of paper with some secret number in the windshield of the car. Given that the car is currently 800 miles from where I am, that is not possible.
So I know I have pending offers but have no way to respond to them. Sales lost.
So, go the website to find a customer contact number - NONE. Find the customer online talk function not working. Finally get a number and explain to the first person the issue. He tells me politely to hold while I connects me with some b$%^&* who coldly tells me that until I follow their verification process there is nothing that can be done.
I would not list a roller skate with these people and warn everyone to stay far, far away from this garbage company who has no clue of even basic customer service.
I purchased a 2015 Chevy sonic on 10/25/22, purchased an extended warranty that cost me 3k. Was told that the car was inspected bumper to bumper and that I should not have any issues. Its been not even 2 months and the heat doesn't work and now they are telling me that it needs a new timing belt! They want to charge me 1200.00 for the timing belt! They are stating that its not covered under the warranty I purchased and that it is because of ware and tare. How much ware and tare can be done less than 2 months? I purchased what I thought was a reliable car for my daughters who is away in college. She had to drive 1 1/2 to come back home without heat in her car! On top of that the manager Greg Stoll was rude and very unprofessional! He disregarded the fact that I was upset and didn't care! DONT SHOP THERE!
More than a week after advertising my car they arbitrarily locked my account and suspended my ad until I print out some silly code on a sheet of paper, place this on the windshield and take a picture showing the full car with the driver's door opened.
Oh, so clever! But the timing is horrendous! Guys, this is Thanksgiving week and I along with a lot of other people are away visiting family and friends.
Because they are so enamored with the cleverness of this approach they absolutely refuse to accept a copy of my driver's license and registration card. I am sorry, but I think that would be a sure-fire way of proving my ownership of the vehicle I am advertising.
In the meantime, my apologies to the people who inquired about my vehicle. I am not being rude by not responding to you in a timely manner. I am locked out of my account until I can return home and follow their cutesy process.
Never, never again, CarGurus!
I've bought several Dodge rides over the years from Swope CDJR. Every vehicle I have purchased was not only a superb machine but their business doesn't stop after the sale. Quality service department with excellent mechanics, a parts department that is beyond reproach and a staff of other men and woman who show a true personal concern for perfection and consideration for buyers long after the sale.
Has nothing to do with the dealer these cars have been sold months ago all the cars does not exist there The car dealership has no idea how they got the information about the car because they do not post with them
Not suprised they only have 2 stars We tried to sell a vehicle through them and they never even responded. And it was a very nice vehicle. We also inquired about a vehicle they had for sale and were never contacted. We received an email today that asked if the dealer had ever contacted us and when we put in NO a page came up and said they were not available. They are totally wotrthless and they are now residing in my spam.
We were looking to sell a 2012 Ford Fusion. Car Gurus offered $4000 online, which was not the highest online quote but we decided to go with them due to the ease of at home pickup. We went thru the process, taking photos and a 360 degree video and uploading it. Then a new part to the process, a "Lemon Squad" mechanic came to the house for assessment, but rated it as in "excellent" condition. A day later CarGurus called back and said the mechanic had found rust on the rear qtr panel (which it did, we'd declared it in the initial submission and was in the 1st pics) and lowered the offer to $3000. We declined the lower offer and drove it to CarMax and rec'd $6000 later the same day, higher than the $5000 online estimate. Save yourself the hassle and avoid CarGurus.
In and Out, Quick and Easy. Brian showed me the cars I wanted to see in my price range and was very patient and helpful. A very enjoyable experience. Next time I am in the market for a used car I will definitely put The Car Exchange at the top of my list!
They suspended the free listings for car dealers due to covid 19.So they are making it so hard for small car dealers to stay in business in this survival time. What a shameful and unpatriotic thing to do in these tough times. The bottom line for them is money.
They lie! If you are a dealership because they spend more money they lie and give the car a better for sale rating even if it's not! Especially against a private person selling their car! If you are a private seller they will say your car is priced too high! If you are a dealership they will say great deal! Buyer beware! F car gurus
This company appears to be a scam company. They allow you to advertise on their site but control all communications between you and the buyer. They do not allow the buyer to contact you. The buyer has to actually agree to buy the vehicle before they are allowed to see it. Do NOT use this company!
Couldn't say enough about the experience here buying a used vehicle. Ryan was my sales person and Cecil made it all happen for me. The sales people don't work on a commission so the whole thing was about what I wanted and it went so smoothly. Highly recommend Auto Max of Ocala.
I found a car on car gurus, called the dealer made arrangements for dealer to take the car to my mechanic and he agreed. I checked the next day and the dealer did not take the car and stopped taking my calls. The car is still on the dealers website. I contacted the dealer several times. Finally I gave up and wanted to do a negative review. Car guru asked for my phone # and said I had never contacted the dealer. Their review system is worthless as is their review process. No consumer protection, as usual.
I payed $29.95 to CarGurus to sell my car. I had a buyer and when we tried to complete the sale the sale price was wrong. I emailed CarGurus several times and finally got a response a day later. It did not answer my question. I then left several voicemails to customer service and they never called back. They blew my sale and the excuse was they were in a transition period. I would stay away from them, because they have zero customer service.
I stopped in wenniger auto sales a week ago. I was delighted to see that they had a vehicle of my preference. I bought a 2007 ford taurus sudan on december 23. The salesman was very nice and easy going. The vehicle was priced right. They were very efficient in giving me all the proper paperwork needed. I would recommend anyone whis looking for a reasonably priced car to stop in and see what they have available.
Cargurus get paid by Dealers and they know nothing about the vehicles on their website. The more the Dealers pay them the better rating the Dealers get and the value of their vehicles are. They extort the Dealers too.
I recently bought a 2017 Toyota Camry from Mike Foley and I trusted that he would get me the best deal. I drove from Kingman Arizona. Well he not only delivered over the phone honesty about the monthly payment and when I arrived it did not change. It was well worth the trip. Not only did he deliver on his word but he also saved my but and got a hold of me before I got too far from the dealership and called me to let me know that I left my debit card. Go see Mike!
