DO NOT use this company!
We booked our hire car through car jet to be picked up in Tampa Florida at wheego on December 28th 2024.
When we got there we went to the shuttle pick up area and wheego didn't arrive, we rang them for over an hour without answer.
And eventually had to pay for a uber to get to where we were going (over an hour away).
We tried ringing & emailing wheego the next 2 days without answer.
So eventually had to hire a car elsewhere for our holiday.
We reported all this to carjet who had taken our payment and were told that we were a "no show" and that they wouldn't give us our money back!
I emailed the ceo of carjet about 15 times and didn't even get a reply.
After emailing wheego a chap called Daniel kroner eventually admitted that they as we were also called "no show" even though they didn't pick us up or answer the phone, that wheego had not charged carjet.
I again emailed the ceo and my wife contacted carjet to say that wheego had said they hadn't charged carjet, so we would like our money back for a non existent service.
Again we were ignored and told they wouldn't give us our money back (over £300) as we were a "no show" how can we be a "no show" if the service didn't happen?
This company is a scam company and I implore you to ignore their cheap rates and look elsewhere, otherwise suffer the indictment of giving your money away for no service.

SCAM...LOST 376 EURO YESTERDAY. I ALREADY PURCHASED PLATINUM INSURANCE WITH INITIAL BOOKING ONLY FOR THEM TO WANT TO SELL ANOTHER ONE...ALSO IF YOU USE DEBIT CARD YOU ARE ASKED TO PAY EXTRA...SO IN A NUTSHELL THE INITIAL BOOKING WAS 376 FOR 12 DAYS...THEN ON SPOT FOR DEBIT CARD ADDITIONAL 480 EURO I WAS MEANT TO PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF USING A DEBIT CARD? OH BY THE WAY IF YOU USE A CREDIT CARD THE MONEY WILL BE HELD FOR 30 DAYS LOL...MY GUT TOLD ME TERMINATE AND LOSE FHE 376 AS IT WAS ALL DODGY...ANOTHER FRENCH CUSTOMER WHOM WE FOUND AHEAD OF US FUMING HAD ALSO JUST DECIDED TO LOSE HIS MONEY TOO AND WE WERE SOON TO UNDERSTAND WHY TOO. ALL THIS AFTER HAVING TO MEET A SIGN AT OLD OFFICE REDIRECTING US ANOTHER 5 MIN WALK...DISGUSTING AS WE HAD TO LEAVE THE KIDS FOR OVER AN HOUR WAITING AS WE HAD BIG BAGS...AFTER READING REVIEWS IT WAS THE BEST DECISION TO FORFEIT THE 376 AS MY THOUGHTS IMMEDIATELY WERE THAT THEY WERE FIT TO COME KEY THE CAR AT NIGHT...I MEAN WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO CHARGE INSURANCE TWICE? CAR JET IS A FRONT...YOU ARE TOLD TO GO TO MOVIS...THEN INSIDE THE FINAL OFFICE ITS PRICE WHATEVER NAME IT IS...THATS 3 NAMES TO DEAL WITH. SCAM SCAM SCAMMM

I booked a car in their webpage and it worked realy good!
The problems start when I arrived in aerport of Vienna and the car company witch I choosed informed me that Carjet has cancelled my booking! Without informing me! And, of course, whey want to keep my paid amount of money as well - no refund!
So - never choose that frouds!

They advertise cheap offers and lure you in. We booked through Carjet.com for pick up from Europcar Coventry UK. Had a telephone call from Europcar to tell us that the car was unavailable on the 2nd but available on the 3rd Dec. We turn up on 3rd only to be told that since we didn't pick up on 2nd, there is no car available now. Interestingly, you could book a car from Europcar website for the same day from the same site. On cancelling the booking, we got an automated email from Carjet.com declining refund as the booking date has passed by 24hrs. And unable to contact them via the phone - company based in Spain.
My thoughts are that both Europcar and Carjet are unscrupulous
1) The recommendation for cancellation was made by Europecar, although they were aware that there was no scope for a refund from Carjet.com.
2) Carjet.com being a third party, take some of the profit away from Europcar and it would work better for Europcar if clients book directly with them so as to maximise their profit. Hence they are more likely to create confusion amongst the clients who have paid upfront.

As for Carjet.com, they are a fraudulent business that capitalises on hapless victims through false promises. I have looked thoroughly into Carjet.com website. The multiple reviews all relate to similar events where the clients are misled about time and availability of car rental to confuse them and subsequently not refunding the cost.

It has been a terrible experience and I hope you will stay clear of them.

Do not dare to rent a car through this company. When no problems arise, the price is reasonable. When problems arise they will not help you at all. I sent at least 4 emails to customer service. I received a system response that they accepted my request and will get back to me as soon as possible. More than 3 weeks have passed since the last email. None of their representatives got back to me. Think about what this means and what a path of agony you will have to go through until you get an answer if, God forbid, an accident occurs and you purchased insurance through them. In light of their conduct, I believe that you will not receive a refund and if you do, they will take your soul out. The story in brief. I rented a car through them from the Sixt company in Larnaca, Cyprus with full Sixt insurance. I returned the car at the airport. The Sixt company representative confirmed that everything is OK, including a full fuel tank. To my surprise, two days later I was billed by the Sixt company for about 24.5 euros without any documentation. I contacted the Carjet company 4 times asking for assistance and clarifying the issue. With the exception of confirmation from the computerized system that my inquiries were received, I received no response.
This is the service consciousness of the company. I will certainly not rent a car through them in the future even if it is at a cheaper price.

I rent a car via web site. Yesterday when I arrived, they delivered wrong car and it was not from company Eren Car Rental as their local contact.
Besides, delivery was not at airport. They picked me and brought to their office about 3 km far from airport. And when I'll bring back, I have to go there again but not the airport. While I was making booking, specially I asked big car and to delivery and returning to airport.
I wrote complain but they answered as "The rental is not necessarily linked to a specific vehicle (make, model, colour, equipment, etc.), but to a group of vehicles with similar technical characteristics. The vehicle shown in the Confirmation Voucher may be substituted for a similar vehicle depending on the fleet available at the local office."

CarJet offers the cheapest prices possible, and thanks to them, I am able to afford renting a car for my trip. This is the second time they have helped me out. I appreciate their clear and trustworthy website and service. Thank you!

I rented a car through Carjet in Greece. The conditions and terms regarding fuel were FULL TO FULL, or get a refund for extra fule in case you've got the car with less. But, the car agency did not respect that, I received the car with less than 1/4 tank filled it and returned it with abou 3/4 full. No refund were accepted from rental agency, they said it's not their policy. A bit disappointed

This company claims to be cheap but actually they took nearly £400 as insurance and fuel this was after I'd paid £77 rental upfront.
They tell you its a deposit but then keep the money

I book a car and I pay full insurance, when I want to pick up the car he ask me about credit card, I don't have credit card, I have debit card? So he don't except it, he cancelled my booking and he don't refund my money? When I booked was not machine about credit card? So booking cancelled no car no money and no one help me

The address to pick up the car in their website was not the one I got when I made the order. I took a taxi to the new address and the address was wrong! The car is at the airport... I tried to call customer service but no one answered... will never rent a car from them again!

6th November 2024 paid carjet £182 for car hire
Taken by van to paisley portacabin told by davalia they don't do debit cards only credit,they want £280 from me. Ask carjet for refund told to #£uk with kind regards, £ 182 = no car = no money

They charge me two reservations around the same dates I called them and said I cannot drive two cars at the same time so their system made a mistake by booking me on two reservations around same dates and I give them the reservation I have showing them that I was driving a car under this resa number and that they had to cancelled the other one and refund the one I didn't drive. They refused and charge me for both. They are stealing your money instead of offering good customers service disgusting

You get what you pay for and soon as something don't work out you can't get any support. The call center is not available for 20-30 min and then a call center employee is just lying to you over the phone. We didn't get our car at Riga Airport and carjet.com call center employee told me we would get our reservation money back because they didn't inform us beforehand that the car was only reserved for 1 hour, but we didn't get any refund or support from carjet.com. As customer this is really sad.

STAY AWAY FROM CARJET
I don't even want to leave one star. This is the WORST car rental scam! STAY AWAY from CarJet! They will take your money even when you don't rent the car. Apparently, the managers don't take phone calls. The only way to get them on the phone is if you press "1" to rent a car. I filled out 4 "After Rental" reports and they don't even have the decency to return a phone call. I was left stranded in Orly airport with my brother who is in a wheelchair. They don't deserve any stars. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just a woman telling me there isn't anything she can do and there is not one else to speak with. Thieves!

Bait-and-switch scam.
I booked a car while in Athens.
They get your money (a third of the total rent value) in three easy steps online, none of which warn against debit cards. They accepted a payment from debit card without any warning.
Later they rejected that same debit card.
No company representative waited for me in the airport. (They advertise the airport as pickup and drop off area for their cars). There was no information at the airport as how to get to the shuttle. When I managed to find the shuttle area there was no shuttle towards their "office".
Thus I arrived at the so called "airport" office/barracks too late for a cancellation.
The pieces of it get to keep my money and not only I get nothing in return, I get negative value from it.
Avoid them like the plague.

Turned up to secure a car at Stansted airport booked via Car Jet, we were unable to secure the car from Green Motion as we were not prepared to accept the repayment of a £1,500 deposit after 5 weeks, we declined the car and requested refund. We were directed back to Car Jet who have refused to accept any responsibility…the issue is ongoing – do not use either business.
