My son had brand new shoes and fell apart within a month. I took them back to show them they were falling apart. They refused to take them back because he wore them more than once. Wow! Never shopping there again!
I am absolutely furious with Carter's online! I ordered an item for in store pickup. I paid for said item. We live 30 minutes from the store. My husband went to pick up the item and was informed it had been shipped back because it was not picked up within 14 days. No where in any pick-up email was it stated that my item was to be picked up within 14 days. Worse yet they didn't automatically refund my purchase. I had to call customer service, and my item is now sold out. Meaning they sold an item that had been bought and paid for and had no intention of refunding me!
We just started on the kiddo journey and I loved Carters & Oshkosh. We recently signed up for their frequent shopper program. I went on the website and placed and order through PayPal (which is under hubby's name and an email we don't use very often). This messed up the order and the total. I had used my $10 credit. I didn't get credit for the points, couldn't see anything but my paypal receipt (which doesn't show the $10 credit), so it didn't take my frequent shopper info into consideration. My response from customer service was I checked and the $10 credit was processed. No showing me where it was. I will never order or shop there again. There are too many good kid clothes companies to deal with that kind of customer service. It's only $10, but it was the way I was treated. While everything is nicely worded, it was still basically saying to pound sand.
Ever since the carters closed near me. I ordered online 3 times. Within those 3 times it after the items shipped my expected delivery date changed. 1st time it changed 5 times the 2nd time it changed 3 and currently i received another email stating my item been rescheduled again this is the 4th time. What makes me mad is i paid for 3-5 day shipping each time. So why do i get my items 3 or 4 weeks later? Customer service seems not to have any answers nor will they refund my shipping. Im so done with carters.
Like a lot of other people who have written reviews, my order never made it to me for Christmas. It was supposed to be delivered by December 17th. Lasership customer service people are incredibly rude and not helpful. It appears that they 'receive' the package and mark it as undeliverable a minute later (multiple times). They blamed Carter's saying that they needed a different address. Carter's had met mobile number but I never heard that from them.
I contacted Carter's and they had to be told 3 times that I wanted the order shipped to my physical address. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I have done business with Carter's previously and was always very satisfied. They need to get rid of that bargain basement shipping company and improve their own service.
I requested gift receipts with my order of 3 items. One of the items I wasn't in the package so I had to go online and report the missing item. Even though they ask for your order number and I described the item they still asked me to send another message with the item number- which is on the invoice which they can see, so just making the customer do their job. Never got my gift receipts. Requested again and they just sent me a pdf of my invoice. How hard is it to understand that someone needs a gift receipt? I am about ready to return everything and just buy somewhere else for my nieces and nephews for xmas. I like the design and quality of their items but their website and customer service are ridiculous. I should be able to print gift receipts from my account orders page like you can at Target etc. but it isn't an option. I have wasted a lot of time going back and forth for three items and gift receipts. Never again.
Why do you push credit cards? I hate when I come in to purchase clothes for my kids and the only question that I am asked is if I want a credit card. The answer is NO! I feel so bad for the employees because when I say no it seems like they are in trouble. Why would I want a credit card that is for one store that only carries children's clothing?
Do the employees get in trouble? A very young girl acted like she was going to be fired when I said no. I felt so bad for her. I told her to get a new job instead of working somewhere like this. I will never purchase anything from Carter's again.

Spent $150 and did ship to store. Waited 2 weeks and heard nothing. Called n they couldnt find the order even though it said it was delivered to the store. Customer service couldn't give a crap at all, no apologies. NEVER again.
I tried to contact Customer support guy "Miller" regarding Carters mobile app issue.
Instead of resolving an issue, he started asking go with alternative. Since I dont have laptop right now, I was asking to resolve this issue and he started behaving rudely.
They state that you can cancel an order within the first 45 min. That is not true, since I called carters right away to cancel an order and I was on hold for 30+ minutes. I also left my phone for call back, tried the robochat and sent a message to customer service. I did all that within the 45 min after placing the order, without being contacted with carters.
Customer service answer my email the next day, saying that it was too late to cancel. So, the cancellation policy is a lie, because you wont be able to contact them in the first hour after making a purchase.
Update: Carters customer service contacted me and solved the issue. Since my order had shipped by the moment they contacted me, they offered a partial refund.
Waste of time - don't order from them!
I ordered a few things for my 3-year-old granddaughter, who has had a growth spurt and needs some summer clothes. I received a shipping notification with a UPS tracking number, but UPS never received the package. The first time I called customer service, they said to contact UPS, but UPS said the label was created but they never received the package, so it would still be at Carter's. They offered to reship, but most of the items I had ordered are now out of stock. Not only that, but it took too much of my time - 2 calls to customer service, & contacting UPS - to get the correct answers and get a refund.
I placed an order two weeks ago and received an email it would arrive today. Package states it is still in GA. I have never experienced this before, this is just the worst. Never ordering from this store online again.
I should have looked on these reviews before ordering. I loved the clothing from this store that's why I order. Why have customer service and not answering the phone? It took forever and for my package not to even arrive.
Received my Carter's Credit Card at 28.99%. I watch my CC's closely on the percentage interest due to my credit rating. This is unacceptable! This should have never been offered! I will not pay this kind of interest and will shop at our local store to support them instead. Just paid our bill in full and will not use this credit card.
Worst customer service EVER! If you shop in store, it's alright, and the products are decent for the price when they're on sale. But stay away from online ordering! I finally took the parts of the order I did manage to receive to the store to return the whole order, hoping to recoup some of the money I spent--hopefully they'll actually issue the refund.
Unlike many other reviews here, my online shopping experience with Carter's was good.
I got a nice good Friday promotional offer, and the package was shipped in 2 days, and I received it 4 days after placing the order.
I was a little apprehensive after reading many negative reviews, but in the end, everything went smooth.
Like others I placed an order on Cyber Monday, but I've yet to receive anything. In fact "Lasership," the delivery service, claimed that they delivered to my back door on the 13th. I have not received anything. I also have cameras around my property that can confirm this. I've contacted Carter's and Lasership multiple times, but have yet to hear back. They've essentially stolen my money. This is the second time Carter's couldn't get it right. Last time back in May they took money off my gift card, but I never received a confirmation email and/or delivery. I ended up talking to someone above the regular customer service and they resolved the issue but at that point many of the items I ordered were out of stock.
I'm filing a dispute with the current charges, and it's highly unlikely I'll be purchasing from them again. For being one of the largest suppliers of baby and kids clothes, what a terribly operated company it is.
Be forewarned that Carters only offers store credit. In this day and age where customer service is King, Carters sticks it to its customers by NOT offering a refund. I wanted to return a tagged, new itemmy son received for his birthday and was REFUSED a refund! The associate could not mask her delight at giving me store credit. Now my son cannot get the brand bame shirt hw did want. NOT a nice surprise. Guess what store I'll boycott from now on? What an archaic policy and a way to repel customers. Good luck with that policy Carters!
I am super upset at the fact that I have gotten charged for a return fee of 29.00 wh e the whole problem started with the Carter's app, I tried to enter my banking info on the app and it took it and then I get a bill for a different amount so I called Carter's and explained the situation and I paid the whole bill in full, i asked if I would be responsible she said she doesn't know until the next billing cycle well I looked in like and I had a charge of 29.00 for return fee from the 1st time I tried to pay the bill. I talked with Matt the manger and he refused to waive the 29.00 fee that I feel is their fault since the app would not take my Info. I closed my account
I am only giving 1 star because negative 20 is not an option on here. Wishing I would have read reviews on them before ordering. Ordered almost 2 weeks ago... charged my paypal immediately and they still have not shipped my order. I ordered things for my grandchildren's birthdays 2 weeks early and still not shipped! You call and email and get a 30 min wait time or they will call you back... ha! That doesn't happen. Instead you get a generic "covid" excuse for delay. Apparently, after reading just a few reviews this is how they operate ALL the time! Sorriest customer service ever! First and LAST time to order anything from these rip offs! Disputing my paypal since reading reviews where people cannot get refunds! Ridiculous!

Answer: I have found better online. Sometimes just 2.99 for shirt, shorts or pj. I always buy off season and get Hugh discounts. The only problem is variety but I'm not picky. I just buy what I like and check again later. Good luck
