What kind of scam is this?
They took my cash and have not delivered my card!
Best Buy was no use to me.
Now they are forcing me to write 100 freaking characters to say how horrible they are.

I live on the other side of the world and my cc was used by this company for a gift card purchase. I notified my bank of the fraudulent transaction for a refund. Be aware!
Took my money for digital Roblox gift card and sent email stating they were unable to process digital gift card. Unbelievable! It was supposed to be an Easter present for my son.
My account was recently suspended by PlayStation due to a charge that I disputed. Customer service contacted me via email that until I pay a $120 balance my account will remain suspended. They gave me a link to cashstar where they said I can purchase PlayStation gift cards to load money back on my account to pay the balance. I thought this was sketchy that I couldn't just pay directly to Sony with a credit card but after speaking to numerous customer service reps I realized that this is their policy. So back to cash star. I didn't even realize it was a 3rd party vendor at first because the website was "PlayStation.cashstar.com." It was easy to purchase the cards, but it's been over a week and I haven't received an email with the promised gift codes to use to pay off my PlayStation balance. Then I read these reviews and found out that I've been scammed. It is ridiculous that reputable companies like Sony and Best Buy are redirecting their customers to purchase from a fraudulent website. And I can't dispute the charge from my bank because even a week later it say it's "pending."
CASHSTAR TOOK MY CREDIT CARD INFO -charged my account then did NOT AND WOULD NOT provide the gift card... when i called they are RUDE AND SAID THEY WONT TELL ME WHY they didn't provide the gift card... i called my credit card COMPANY and THEY said its an approved transaction so no reason why they're not providing the gift card... BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!
Beware of this merchant. They will put this through--without warning--as a cash advance. You will then have to pay a transaction fee as well as interest on the cash advance.
This is a fraudulent company. I lost $50 uber eats gift card by receiving an egift card through this company. The 844 no didn't go through and I sent an email and the $50 in my gift card was stolen
I bought a $50 DUNKIN gift card and it came with $10 Prom Gift Card.
When I received the $10 Prom Gift Card, there was not PIN.
When I contacted CashStar, they said I had to contact dunkin. When I contacted dunkin, they refused to give me the $10.
DO NOT BUY GIFT CARD FROM CASHSTAR.
Bought a AMC gift card for a birthday gift; recipient says she never received the email card. Will open a complaint with Cash Star via my credit card company and see what happens.

I used Cashstar for Ulta gift cards twice before and they came via email promptly. So I was surprised when I continued to refresh my cart at Ulta for an hour and a half waiting for the egiftcard. Ulta is offering a $20 ereward with $100 giftcards. That was ny motivation for ordering a $100 gift card for myself. See below, another hour later and my order is still "in process." Cashstar says, 'Oops, sorry, our system is down. We don't know when it will be up. We can process your refund after we take 48 hours for coffee breaks & lunches. Oops, sorry, we understand how you feel.' I told them not to start the refund as I wanted to contact PayPal for a dispute. Even though my transaction is still "pending," PayPal bot says I can't dispute 'This kind of transaction. Customer service will contact you in a few hours.' Gosh, Cashstar really feels bad about us. As they earn interest on our hijacked funds. My item sold out. My entire shopping schedule is spoiled. This company needs the state AGs to take action. Horrible customer service too. I spoke with two agents. They really don't care, utterly bored repeating their scripts. I hold little hope that my two prior erewards will be redeemable.
Bad business! I ordered $500 home depot giftcard and when I used it. It doesnt work its INVALID. And you cant talk to anybody to take care of it. Home depot said call cashstar and cash star said call homedepot. ICANT BELIEVED THEY SENT ME AN INVALID GIFTCARD WORTH $500.AND I CANT GET A HOLD OF ANYBODY TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
Bought a Sephora e-gift card charged me and said i need additional verification. Called them told me they couldn't process the order after verifying and still charged me.
I bought a gift card for IHOP. IHOP does not accept the gift card. It looks like, from what I have read here, that it is going to be pretty hopeless trying to get a refund.
Had to contact my bank they took my money but I never got the ikea gift card purchased Nov 29 took my money Nov 30th as of Dec 16 no card. I contacted my bank this place is fraud.

I work for a major entertainment company and we placed a very larger order of gift cards for 50K. Once the order was placed I needed to change a few things like the shipping from 2 day to 1 day and a couple other little things, mind you the order hadn't even been processed yet on their end. I called customer service numerous times and they were very rude to me and wouldn't help me change the order. They were basically like maybe you'll know for next time. I also routed the money to them so they could at least start processing my order, but ACH takes a couple of days and they won't start the order until the funds have reached the account. Even if you show them the money has been sent. We were are such a tight deadline for this and of course that's 50K out the window because they don't want to meet you in the middle and work with you on this. They don't even give you a rep to work with for corporate accounts / large orders. You simply have to work with whoever you're able to reach on customer care. I plan to never work with cashstar / grubhub again for any upcoming movie premieres, press events, anything.
Ordered 2 gift cards for QVC 11/30/20. Was advised they shipped 12/2/20, First Class mailing, to allow 7-10 business days for delivery. Now 12/16 and still now cards, cannot reach by phone and email supplies only a ticket number, no further response. USPS says First Class is 2-3 days for delivery, NOT 7-10 days. Am filing complaint with BBB and possibly Atty. General. Will also file dispute with credit card company. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Since posting this review, I recv'd an email from CashStar stating my charge card would be credited the $50.00, minus any money spent. Doesn't say much if somebody else stole the card and used it, however, was surprised at receiving the email. Not sure who is responsible for the refund... BBB, QVC Corporate Headquarters or my charge card company. The case remains open with my card company until the refund is credited which may take up to 7 days per CashStar. I have not yet notified the BBB; will do so when I get my refund. In the meantime, ordered cards from Amazon; delivery tomorrow!
Update: After filing a complaint early morning with the BBB (and QVC Corp. as CashStar was acting as their agent and my credit card company) I received a response from CashStar that very afternoon that a credit would be issued for the $50.00. My credit card company notified me the next day of the credit received and would be cancelling their investigation. The BBB contacted me a 2 days later to see if they could close the case. A big thanks to the BBB and my credit card company who also joined the fight.
They stole $50 digital gift card. Effing robbed me. How is this legal? I hope they rot in a shallow grave.
