I sent a catalin radio to him to be restored and then sold on eBay, he sold it and refuses to pay me, photo is of my radio and zero dollars sent to me. He also sent a radio back to me with the box empty, yet my radio is on his website for sale, hard to explain that one. He claimed I had insurance to cover the loss, apparently he lied and their is no insurance and has become unresponsive. He will also offer you a deal on a radio he doesn't even own but its for sale on eBay, not his listing, trying to weasel money out of you. I could go on...BEWARE!

I received my "restored" radio cabinet in 4 BROKEN PIECES. My original cabinet was solid. I was excited to find out that the brownish green cabinet was acutally blue but had oxidized and The Catalin Store assured me they would do an amazing restoration to bring back the blue color. Prior to beginning the restoration process, the Catalin Store inspected the radio and reported: "A physical review of the Catalin cabinet confirms there are no defects to report...Full payment is required before the project commences."
Some time after sending the payment, I received an email with this message: "The polishing wheel caught on the Catalin and within an instant a crack occurred...We do not accept any liability for damage from restoration projects."
Prior to hiring the Catalin Store to restore my radio, I asked about the risk of damaging the radio cabinet during the restoration process, Bill Whelen from The Catalin Store laughed and said that may have happened 20 years ago but not now.
