Cato fashion has really fallen off of the deep end, the store clothing is very limited a small collection and very old fashioned clothing that look like something you'd find at a good will hammy down store, but back in the 1990's and early 2000's Cato was really booming with all of the latest fashion and very unique clothes it use to be one of the best & popular women clothing store to shop at for all of the latest stylish fashion, but now the stores has ran there course and should just go ahead and shut down permanently...

Cato has fun, economical clothes and accessories. Ive never had any issues returning an item and Ive always been greeted when entering the store. I shop 3 different locations, always a pleasant experience.
I found this store when I lived in TN and fell in love! Their clothes are very reasonably priced, adorable, great quality and usually pretty unique. Having moved to NV, I now order online. I get compliments on my clothes all the time. Good job Cato, keep up the great work!

This is where I buy the majority of my clothes. They're always coming up with something different. I always gets my money worth. Great customer service. They have the best clearances. I highly recommend all my friends and coworkers to shop there.

I bought a skirt from Cato's and I didn't like how it look so I returned it and they charged me $14.40 just for trying on a skirt so if you like throwing away your money this is the place you need to shop. I wouldn't buy my dog an outfit from them! Totally dishonest company!
I was the only customer and was there for about 10 minutes. 2 ladies working. Never greeted me or acknowledged my presence. Not one word or even eye contact. They never spoke to each other either. Decided I wouldn't spend my money there. Very disappointing! Never had this experience with any of their stores.
Cato corporation is a horrible company to work for. They do not care about their employees and the salary sucks. Their clothes are satisfactory but some things are over priced, my main reason that I would not patronize this company is because they do not treat their employees good at all a perfect example of overworked and underpaid!
Cato double dips your account when you place a order on line. I used my debit card and charged $22,98 and Cato's debited addition charge of $23.01 not even the prices of my order it was more. I called cato and ask why they debited my bank account more then what i bought! They call it a pre authorization charge. It has been 3 days and it still pending. Well when you have something pending on your checking account the bank has a hold on your funds and you can not spent that 23.01 until cato release there one time authorization charge. They are playing with your banking account they could cause someone to have bounced checks if you placed a big order or even a small order. Hope this keep you from not having a over drawn bank account.
Went to the Thibodeaux location in louisiana on 7/23/23 and wanted to try on an outfit was told that the dressing rooms had been sprayed and mopped so they could not comply There was still a 40 minute window before the store closed. In the meantime lost a great sale because of lack of great customer service. The way they conduct themselves at this location is making it a sure thing this location will be closing in the near future
I was totally shocked when the sales rep told me that Cato does not offer any type of discounts to its customers since majority of their sales are with seniors and a lot of veterans. This did not sit well with me and I will be letting all of the people that I know who spends their money shopping in these stores about this disapointment.
Raynal helped me out from head to toe. She had me buying things I hadn't come in there for, but at the end of the day it was worth it I was complemented all night long. And my entire wardrobe was cost efficient and so stylish
I'm extremely disappointed in Marissa at Catos, South Main, Nicholasville, who refused to give my mother, who has feet and leg impairments and I, a requested handicap dressing room so I could assist her with trying on clothes. We have never been refused this accommodation anywhere to include Catos and even by this particular sales clerk before. So, for her to refuse this time, was completely unreasonable and honestly, confusing. She was rude and handled herself unprofessionally. What bothered me most was her lack of empathy and compassion for someone who has obvious physical impairments and struggles with mobility. In my disbelief of this blatant refusal to accommodate and lack of basic customer service skills, I dropped the clothes right where we were standing and told her we no longer wanted them and we will never spend our hard earned money in this establishment, let alone Catos again. I hope after reading this, you will do the same.
Went to Cato in Guntersville 2 days ago.Could hear employees at back of the store laughing and talking but no one every came out into the store to ask if I needed help or anythingI was in there for 35 minutes looking for a dress. I finally walked out without seeing or speaking to any employee. This is not good business and I want be back
2 days straight I've been here and this store isn't open. Cato 1097 Ironton Ohio? This isn't a good thing. Take it over the river to Ashland, Ky Over 14 people have came to those doors and had to leave.

I have been shopping at Cato's for at least 10 years. I love their different fashions and their quality is fantastic I'm still wearing a lot of my Catos from years ago. I have several closets full of Cato's clothes.
I have spent most of the day trying to place an order with Catos from early morning til around 5 in the afternoon. Finally called them_ explained that I've had the SAME debit card number for 28 years_ have never been declined or never not been able to use it before until now. Shouldn't be any problem whatsoever so after explaining this to customer service rep she then says I needed to contact my bank! I said for what, it's not the banks problem at all it's y'all's. It's just not worth arguing with unqualified employees. I just hung up, deleted getting any more emails from them & will be telling my family members & friends so they can delete also. Be careful!
When you order online it can be a hit or miss. I have ordered clothes that has been good quality and some that has been very cheap. Read the reviews before purchasing on each item.

It's a big ordeal to get a refund from shopping online I spent 30 minutes on a call and still called again and the purchase was about $34 I got about $19 back after a couple of weeks and two phone calls, the regular stores usually have cute clothes and so I do like to buy Cato's clothes usually finding a great fit on cute clothes. But online returns is terrible, I don't think I'll shop online Catos again, I've tried twice to do returns and both times have been very unpleasant

My name is Tasha Thomas I was in Cato fashion today on Atlanta Hwy I brought this outfit an a pair of white sandals wit buttons on them I only pick 1 outfit went to the counter to check out no problem but soon as I went back out the door alarm went off now I gave her my bag to check there was nothing I told her too check my purse due to the fact I don't have to steel that mess in there we went back an forth arguing she said it's ok I said naw check my purse she already check my bag I was so uncomfortable made me think the lady at the fest set the alarm off I never stole nothing in my life but like I told her if u have any doubt I have anything in my purse call the police so I can get a lawyer going

I have always loved how friendly the staff in Cato's LEWISBURG WV is. Until yesterday. I have always loved how they speak when you enter the store. Yesterday I was sad as one spoke or asked if you needed help. Until I checked out. Please don't let this store lose its friendly service.
Good evening it was very disheartening for myself today I stopped by a Cato's in Columbia South Carolina to inquire about a job opportunity. I spoke to the manager and asked were they hiring she inform it that they were not I asked a few more questions and proceeded to leave the store. As leaving the store I happen to look up in the window and see and now hiring side after being told that they weren't hiring it made me feel very disrespected being as though I am somebody that has a disability and has use of a wheelchair I really felt discriminated against and felt that I was treated unfairly. I really believe that I deserve equal opportunity but unfortunately they will never get to know how great I really am.

I walked in started looking around (yall need a new buyer) and not 1 employee greeted me. Was in the store at least 5 mins. Turned around and will never step in that store again
I recently wrote a review about the Cato Prattville AL store noting how I often encountered the workers treating me like I wanted to steal. As a result, I hadn't been in that store in years. I bragged on the Montgomery, AL Ann Street store that I didn't feel uncomfortable there. At least not until today. I just left there and from the moment I walked in the Staff started searching the racks around me. Again, I felt that uncomfortableness. I am a hardworking IT Professional who wouldn't steal a hot dog. I'm starting to think that the Cata stores train their employees to behave in such a way. I shop online and at the stores and even though I still like the clothes I need to leave Cata alone for a while. Probably a long while.
