I ordered a part 5 months ago... I waited one month and never received it so I ordered it elsewhere and received it in 5 days from the second vendor... The truth is that I had forgotten who I ordered it from the first time but figured they did not charge my credit card but I was wrong! Here we are 5 months later and I receive a package... Now I can look up by name my order, and it says on the email that they charge right away for your order "even if they don't have it or ship it..." I would think there would be some kind of policy in place with some kind of a time period or an email that your parts are here after five months did you still want them? Nope! I would have to pay shipping both ways "which is more that the part that I ordered" to return it, so if I throw it away it will cost me less than returning it.
On December 29,2020 I ordered a power head for my central vacuum system. I was told that the supplier had it in stock and after the first of the year it would be shipped out. Several voice mails left at option 4 were never returned. Finally an email was returned and said that the vendor in Charlotte would drop ship it. This was January 28,2021. Today I once again went through the order line and was told that he saw in the system where this should have been processed to the vendor in Charlotte but he saw that nothing had happened. Supposedly he has it printed and will walk it through the system.
The one thing that that central vacuum stores were very quick on was taking the money. That came out as soon as i placed the order. We will see if it gets here by Thursday as I was promised. Not too hopeful because I was told "if it is not there by Saturday give me a call back as I have to work this Saturday."
If there is any way to get want you need from another vendor DO IT!

Their website says items should be shipped within 1-2 weeks. They charged the credit card immediately. Finally, 8 weeks after ordering they emailed to say the entire order was shipped minus the main power unit which would be shipped from the manufacturer. Only about 1/3 of the order showed up and I have been emailing them for 2 weeks with absolutely no response. I have three different phone numbers for them and I have called dozens of times and they will not answer.
I wrote and asked what the diameter of a specific seal was so I could see if it would possibly fit my very old and discontinued vacuum. Please note that the seal I was asking about was in stock and could have easily been pulled from the shelf and measured.
"Roger" with Central Vacuum Stores replied to my email telling me what I already knew that my vacuum was out of production and parts not available. He then suggests I purchase a new vacuum.
I replied telling him that all I want to know is the diameter of the seal that he has in stock... I never got an answer. It seems that pulling a seal off the shelf and measuring it was a bit too much work for "Roger".
I would NOT suggest buying anything at all from this company because it is very clear that customer service is not their strong point.
The company takes payment up front by immediately billing credit card, but does not provide products in gives no shipping information. Fails to respond to emails, calls and voice mails. This smells of scam. VMs state that they are having supply chain issues, yet they market full boar without any regards to stock availability. At Christmastime this is a recipe for horrible customer experiences. Next week I will look at filing a BBB complaint.
Charged for a full order but only received about 2/3's of it. I have called three times over a two day period, left my number and email and still have not heard a word as to where the rest of my $1700 order is. All I want to know is did you short me or is it back ordered?
Next step is to return the entire order and cancel the charge.
After our housekeeper pointed out that wand was cracked Tuesday at 2:00 i got online looking for a replacement. I order one from Central Vacuum Store only to be surprised when it was delivered at 1:00 Wednesday, Today less than 24 hours after ordering the wand and with no expedited shipping. This is really fast service and I got just what I needed are a really good price.
I placed an order for a Wessel-Werk power head and hose kit back January. 3 months later, it still hasn't shipped. When I placed the order, Roger, the owner told me it would ship in about a week. Several phone calls and excuses later, still no shipment. Most recently I pretended to be a new customer and asked about availability on the product I had ordered. He told me product was in stock and if I placed an order today, it would ship by the end of the week. After he realized who he was speaking to, he said he would personally walk the order through to ensure shipment, which of course, never happened. Now he will not answer or return my calls.
Extremely poor customer service, they charge you and then stall and lie... borderline fraud! They use your money as a loan! They tell you its backordered when the factory says no it's not... sooner or later this little game will collapse. They always do.
My old Beam central vac died. I called Central Vacuum Direct after searching the internet. The man answering the phone was very helpful and assisted me in selecting the right replacement. Price was very competitive. I bought a new Beam replacement. It was shipped the next day and arrived intact within a few days. It was a fairly easy process to install it. I highly recommend this company.
Ordered the CV 300. The accessory pieces have already arrived and my new power unit should arrive at the end of this week or first part of next week. I'm so excited! And hopefully this will be a great experience but thus far it already has been a great experience.
I have ordered a small part back at the end of October. After over 2 weeks of waiting I inquired about my order and was told to wait additional 10-15 days. Haven't heard from them ever since. Obviously my order never arrived. Fortunately I have ordered the same part from a different store after receiving that email about additional wait time.

I cannot thank the staff at Central Vacuum enough for their help and service! My emails and questions were answered promptly by a real person. When I called for help a real person, Roger, answered the phone and helped figure out what was wrong with my central vacuum system and helped me fix it over the phone. Roger also helped me order the correct parts. The the only thing that was difficult was waiting on delivery, which took almost 3 months. They were having order delays and then covid19 delayed it further but they kept me updated the whole time and were very apologetic. Great company to work with! Thank you!
I am so impressed with the knowledgeable and helpful people here. I will do business here because of the level of excellence and experience. They believe you should love your vac and if you don't then they know how to fix it.
Bought a $90 part. Paid for it and shipping. A few days later got an email that they cancelled my order. When I inquired they told me I'm Canadian and need to spend $500USD and can only pay with a US credit card. They wasted my time and money as I lost out on foreign exchange on cc charges buying and refund. The system should have told me during the order this info. They told me it's in the FAQ. Who reads the $#*!en FAQ? I then proceeded to write the 3 lines of programming code required to give the warning online to Canadians and sent it to them. (If you view source in your browser you can see all the code... I gave them exactly what they needed to embed). Not even a god damn thank you from them. Go elsewhere... Not nice people.
Got a voice mail saying it would be fixed and an apology from the owner, Roger who I have spoke to before. I have since received my tracking info. I'll update again after I receive my order.
Was charged in full weeks ago after placing an order. I have been promised it would ship on four different occasions. Spoke to a lady today who was down right rude and refused to respond to my questions. I still have no idea when it will get here. I have no idea when they will know or who will know when it will ship or from where. I was informed "their matriarch" had broken her back... but no other information. Hundred of dollars and weeks later and still no info at all.
Will never ever go to this company again. This is also the first bad review I have ever given anyone.
Roger took the time to educate me and was very patient. I had read a great deal about central vacs and Hide-a-Hose, in particular, before calling and I had some very specific and in-depth questions. I could not stump him; he is full of good advice. He even advised me that some things I thought might be needed actually weren't. I was on the fence about where to order from, but now I'll definitely order from them for my upcoming order and in the future.
I ordered 3 replacement bathroom ceiling exhaust fans on July 12,2020. They have not arrived and I have not heard a word from Central Vacuum about my order. I emailed the *******@centralvacuumstores site a week ago and I still have not received a response. The saddest part is the fans are paid for and I saw today I could get these fans in 2 days on Amazon.
I ordered a complete system within a week I received the pipe and fittings after that I waited five weeks and never received the rest of my order. Got tired of waiting so I canceled the rest and requested a refund, I was told I would get it in 5 to 7 business days well here we are 10 business days later NO money but they sure took it right away. During this five week saga the response from C.V. S. to phone messages or E-mails was almost none responsive. This company should be closed it is the worst place to do business, after I canceled went to another company got my system in 3 DAYS.

Ordered an item 8/8. Checked over week later to see status is still in processing. Called and left detailed voicemail with requested reason for call, order number, name, phone and email address. No one returned the call nor responded via email. I had to check order status only to find out they left a comment in the order say the item was no longer in stock and would not arrive to their facility for another 10-15 business days. Requested cancellation and refund. If they ask for your email and phone number hwen leaving a voicemail, they should proactively reach out to provide an update, not just leave a comment in your order status that you only see if you go back to your online order information and hope there's an update.
Would be zero stars if it was an option.
Hide-A-Hose told us to order a replacement door from Central Vacuum Stores. We placed an order on August 14,2020 and received confirmation immediately after placing the order. Weeks went by and nothing, not a peep. Finally called Central Vacuum Stortes on September 3,2020 and could only leave a message. We got a voicemail a few days later that the item wasn't in stock and would be ordered and shipped out to us shortly. I'm not sure what shortly means to them but we figured 7 days from say the 5/6th of September would be reasonable. Needless to say its the September 22,2020. The best of this is we were changed on August 14. We'll be letting Hide-A-Hose know about this. NEVER AGAIN!
While the website is impressive, this is a small company that doesn't have a large warehouse with stocked items ready for quick shipment. I found this out after I placed my online order and was charged immediately, and then after a week, no email about shipment. I called and they said the part needed to be ordered and I would get an email when it shipped. It's now almost 1 month and NO email about shipment. No email about status. I called again inquiring and they said they had to order the part (which I knew). I just didn't think it'd take this long (in 2019) to get something delivered. While they were nice and all, if you want something quickly, you might want to call first to inquire about whether or not they have the item you want in stock because if they don't, then you might not get it in what most would consider reasonable. I could've gone to a our local vacuum cleaner store and get it faster for the same price. I thought I would save me the drive and time by ordering from here. I also asked why my card was charged at order placement rather than at shipment (if the item had to be ordered by them first). They said it was (again) because they are a small company and don't maintain credit card info in their system to charge a card later. This is my first experience with them, but I would not use them again based on this experience as there are other companies that offer better communication about orders that don't ship out immediately. My order was to reportedly arrive to them from wherever they ordered it in 2 more days (26 days from order placement). It would ship then ship from them to me. So, it would've been about 30 days from order placement to me receiving. In today's market, there are other companies that offer faster service and better communication about orders.
We are so sorry that your experience with our company was disappointing. We ARE a small company. The choice not to store credit cards has nothing to do with our size, but with security. Our customers don't have to worry about a breach of their credit card information. No one who stores your information can really keep it safe... ask Capital One. Our company does specialize in hard to locate parts. With over 30,000 skus on our website we cannot always guarantee quick delivery, but we can guarantee that we will get you the right part, even if they are hard to locate, the first time. Broan Nutone parts are particularly problematic and we notify customers immediately on their order confirmation and on their credit card receipt that there could be a 3-4 week wait before we get the parts in our warehouse. Again, I am so sorry to have disappointed you.
I order in October 2021 after months of emailing and calling I finally received my replacement vacuum in January, it works great but... unfortunately I ordered a new sock also, I was tired of contacting and had my husband call he left a message of course they never called back, so I guess they made an additional small bonus off of us of $61 because they sure didn't offer any compensation for this mishap. In the future if I need replacement parts I will try to go thru someone else.

I am so sorry for your disappointment. Roger answers phone calls from a remote location. He cannot just walk out to the warehouse. In addition the gasket he was asked to measure was not in stock at the time. He gave the best answer he could. Also. It is against our policy to sell parts that are not designed by the manufacturer for that model. That part has not been available from Vacuflo for 10 years. If we sell someone an incorrect part and there are problems it could jeopardize our authorized dealer status. Roger replied with the very best answer... the vacuum was out of production for years and years, no parts are available, which means it is time to buy a new central vacuum.
