“Change.org doesn't tolerate racism”

Even though an open platform change.org acted IMMEDIATELY to remove parts from a petition that was created to harass a black family, in East Toronto, Canada thus making it useless. We thank all of the team at change. Org. As their message is clear: 0 tolerance.

So basically they are a bunch of shady companies out there trying to trick people into investing in candle trading schemes. They promise high returns on investment but end up taking your money and they act like they never knew you. But thanks to SPE C T R UM - CR E ST for helping me get back my funds from these brokers They scam people by making them believe they are an investment scheme that gives profit after investing which i i also decided to invest in just for me to place a withdrawal after making profit and they declined me telling me all sort of excuse. But luckily for me i got back my money with help of SP E C T R UM - C R E ST. Reach out to them if you need assistance on how to get back your money

NEVER give these people any money. These people are crooks. I lost $25 after trying to promote my petition and then they pulled it with no explanation. These people masquerade as idealists. They must have corporate owners with an agenda.

Tip for consumers:
This website is not what it appears to be. NEVER send these people any money.

Looking for a great website that supports the causes of what is most important to people and their passions? Then Change.org is not the place you want to go. With their biased views and hatred for freedom of speech, they will take down any petition they deem 'inappropriate', and without notice or an explanation why! Would your petition for a cause you care about be with good intentions, no insults nor harsh language? Oh well! Change.org doesn't care! They only care about what money they can rake in from people with good intentions and silence those whom they do not agree with. It doesn't matter to them! Any petition! Any cause! They will shut you down if you do not share the same beliefs. Find a better credible source for your passions and skip the hate dribbling idiots from Change.org

Like other people in this site I am very disappointed with this "organization". Like many of you I signed up for a petition and did my contribution for that particular petition, I ended with a monthly payment charge. Canadian MasterCard refuse to help me because in their opinion this a " reputable institution" and what are they doing is consider a legal action. If you decide to help be aware it is so difficult to get rid of them. If they are legal they should change this fraudulent way to get peoples money.

Basically, anyone say whatever they like about whoever they like. They do not verify any of the information that people petition for! A site that allows themselves to be used this way, well, whats the difference in change.org & facebook?

Stay far, far away. I intended to contribute a set amount to sign a petition. As I hit the "submit" button, all of a sudden the terms were changed. They increased the payment I authorized by $10 and signed me up for a continuing monthly withdrawal through my PayPal account. Be forewarned. This site needs to be shut down.

I just found out this is a private "for profit" site. It appears that many of their so-called victims are professionals.
What brought this to my attention was a supposed victim of the actions of Wells Fargo here in Oakland. A quick online search showed the "victim" was a "professional" borrower and not a victim. That made me delve more deeply into this web site. Not sure where the site got my email.

Two times I have been "sucked in" to signing a petition at Change.org because I cared deeply about the issue involved. Both times I regretted it. They require your personal information and then use it to pester you. When you try to unsubscribe you get a fake "server misbehaving - try again!" message, indefinitely. I do not trust this site at all.

I made a payment of $30 to contribute to Kate McKenzie
I believed this would go to her assisting in medication she requires. Unfortunately my contribution went directly to Change.org. Not as expected or wanted
Have asked to be refunded and have had no response at all to my emails or requests.
This is a scam please be aware.

They support stupid things like giving Florida inmates fans and Gatorade. Weapons can be made from both. They are criminals. They abused someone. They have to pay for their crimes. Support honest people who cant afford fans or A/cs.

Whatever money you 'donate", goes to change.org itself. Also you end up subscribing for monthly payments and its very hard to unsubscribe.
They pretend to be a no-profit, but they actually harvest money by making you think you're donating to a cause, while everything goes to them. You do not only pay for them to advertise these petitions, they also sell your data to companies which will start sending campaigns based on your political believes. It's a fraud!

Payments for promotion of campaign actually resulted in a decrease in signatures. Emails suggesting that they want to back your campaign just to a ploy for more cash for ever decreasing returns. Really... the total number of signatures stayed static then actually fell-how can that be? Being profit-making is one thing but a blatant scam is another-very disillusioned by the cynical attitude of an organisation that purports to be ideals driven.

I agreed to a single 10 $ payment for a cause and a double confirmation PayPal page added a monthly donation of 10$ without any warning or any request from their website. Change.org is a total scam! Avoid them by any mean.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Change.org censors the important petitions of those who fight against the dangerous and irresponsible pro-pitbull activists.
They literally don't give a $#*! about bully breed type of dogs maiming, harming and potentially killing innocent people; adults, handicapped people and elderly people alike.

They also scam customers an masse, specifically those whom are giving Change.org one-time donations. People are basically charged monthly without their consent.

I was tricked into monthly payment plan without my consent after paying a one-time donation. However, this was a long time ago, and it's good to know I am not alone, but I hope change pays people back their money!

Tip for consumers:
Please choose another petition website

I signed a petition for a grieving widow who couldn't access her husband's face book account and regretted it within minutes. I've since received multiple scam emails, donation requests, and requesting personal info from me. Signer Beware! The more signatures, the more profit goes to uncharitable affiliations... not cool. What a big mistake and nightmare! Now I cannot unsubscribe.

I just realized how dangerous, not just buggy, this site is, seeing today a case of a lynch mob victory. You can easily fire somebody from a job and destroy their life based on pure allegations you put on change.org, anonymously, just because media are going to spread it. What kind of "social change" is that? I wish there were negative stars here.

I also always google the case before signing any petitions. A number of times important facts in petitions on change.org are distorted or omitted. Anybody can post anything, manipulate people to sign, and manipulate media to spread rumors, no facts are verified. Those whose petitions are valid and scream for help don't benefit from it at all. The site should be renamed into "libel.org" or "lynchyourenemy.org".

As so many others have found, having donated £10 to supposedly move a petition up their listings I noticed a further £10 taken out of my paypal account this month. Have unsubscribed and received confirmation from Change.org to that effect but will be checking monthly because I now don't trust them. Don't even want to give one star!

Well, I've learned a few things today about Change.org's practises. I did not know it was a for self profit company and I am appalled by money being taken without consent. I've have been signing petitions on there for ages and like everyone else I became a 'member' and I don't how. I always make comments when invited to. Now, I find that some of my comments have been removed - no warning, no email, just gone. It's no biggie in the grand scale of things just extremely rude. I don't want to waste any more time ploughing through emails, reading and signing petitions only to find my input removed. I will cancel my 'membership' and stick to 38degrees.org.uk who are an upright, not for profit outfit with scruples.

After you sign a petition, you're offered the chance to pay Change.org to advertise the petition to a wider audience. I have only ever used this "chip in" feature but was billed for a monthly membership program. Disputing this charge with PayPal had no effect. The change.org website allows you to cancel the membership program, so be sure to check if you were enrolled in the program after chipping in and cancel if you didn't intend to do so.

Beware of this company! I signed a petition and next thing I knew they were charging to my credit card. They then tried to show that I was signing petitions that I did NOT agree with. I tried to contact them several times for an explanation and a refund. No response and you cannot find a phone number to follow up. Your only means of following up is email and they ignore you!
Beware in signing ANY of their petitions!

Do not I repeat do NOT spend any kind of money on here they'll just charge you after you pay your money once. This place needs to be taken down for charging when the people aren't even aware they're being charged!

I signed up to donate for a one time only. It is every month now, and I can't get anyone at this Change.org to help me get this resolved at all. I finally contacted my credit card they were withdrawing this from, and they are going to investigate this situation, as well stop any further withdrawals. It's too bad it had to come to this, as I donated with good intention to help a cause..

No real way to opt out of a subscription, nor contact them? Whoever THEY ARE? You can try all the methods they suggest, but I notice the wording keeps changing on each sight and the methods don't work. Yes, you can can cancel your email, but they still have your card, some how they have 2 of my card?

It's like a spam?

I donated to a cause I believed in. Did not sign up for recurring monthly payments. Followed instructions on how to cancel. Went to settings + membership. Membership tab says I need to contribute to join. I'm already a "member!" I emailed several times, first time I got a "catch all" do not repy another time they emailed me back the original email they sent me thanking me for donation. I even called the Change.org telephone number that was listed on my credit card statement. Of course a voicemail saying you can't leave a message. I ended up contacting my credit card company to put a stop to unauthorized monthly recurring payments.

I did not break any community guidelines with my change org petition. It was up over a month with promoters paying to promote it. Yet after 7,000 signatures suddenly, and with no explanation the petition was removed by Change.org. This is unfair and in essence taking money from promoters and then turning around and removing my petition is stealing money. How is it allowed to receive promotion money's and then be removed?
