It's seems like they just hire random tutors that don't know what the $#*! their talking about. I'm taking stats and probability and every question I post is first answered 4 hours late then completely $#*!ing wrong. Dropped from a 95% to a 78% in 2 weeks using this trash. I still do have time make back though thank for listening to my rant.
People will just randomly answer your questions, usually not filling the things you pointed out as important and there's no way to report them. The only way to contact support is using some phone number in UK. Like, really?
I recently got a subscription to what I thought would be a data bank of useful information. It turned out to be a whole lot of students like myself asking and answering questions. Once in a while you could receive an "Expert Opinion" if you can believe it. It was extremely confusing trying to sift through all the guesses. I subscribed to get help on an exam that I had previously taken with very little studying and I received a 60, I only scored a 72 using Chegg. I immediately contacted Chegg who immediately agreed to issue me a refund. The best thing I can say about Chegg is they do have prompt customer service through their Chat option. I am supposed to receive a refund within 5 business days. If I don't I will be updating my review
Got pop-ups saying "60/70% off subscription!" only to get to checkout and see no coupons applied. Called up and was told it was an issue on my end, so I grabbed my partner's computer, and using a different browser/internet connection, replicated the results that caused the pop-ups to offer a discount that doesn't get applied. Their only solutions after I pointed out the misleading advertising was to either pay the full price and trust they'd reimburse me or buy text-books which came with a free trial. Looking at the reviews in aggregate, these guys are extremely, extremely dodgy. Avoid at all costs.
Most answers on the platform are wrong. Out of 10 questions I checked on the site, 8 were incorrect. You used to get correct answers or links in the comments, but they disabled that section. Can't wait to cancel my subscription as their business model does not care about clients getting correct answers.
PS: Marking an answer as incorrect doesn't trigger any response from the company eg they still deduct the question from your monthly quota
The Good
It may give you some answer support sometimes.
The Bad
Sh*t service that half the time provides outright wrong and/or no actual explanation of process.
Expensive service that charges a lot for what it is; more expensive than competitors.
Incompetent safeguard system that will almost 100% guarantee suspend your account under false allegations of being a 'shared account.' Complaints are disregarded and while you wait days for your account to be re-enabled, you won't get credited back for the days stolen.
Final verdict; Sh*t company. Avoid at all costs.
It's not 2006 anymore. We have more than one way we access the internet. I've been locked out of my own account twice because they suspect I'm sharing my account. Are you guys that stingy for another $20? I have like 5 different devices i use for school, sorry if i had to move from my PC to my laptop to my phone or ipad etc. I have to wait at least 24 hours for them to get back to me now. This is ridiculous I hope there's another site with better support than this.
I always get at least 3 of my questions unsolved or solved in the wrong way. This issue has happened several times in my recent subscriptions and i tend to find the answers using similar websites like Chegg. I tried to contact Chegg through their e-mail but there's no response. Moreover, whenever i tend to give a low rated answer, someone will negotiate me until i prove them wrong. I have attached screenshots of some of my closed questions & wrong answers for evidence (one of them has not been answered since 11/23/2019). It has become a waste of money & time.
I had kept forgetting to cancel the account and finally did on the same day that they charged me, but they refused to refund me for even one month of services despite several months of payments. Not all of their answers are accurate, either, and using them violates most colleges academic honesty policies
These people steal your money. When an unknown transaction is debited from my account by Chegg.com they cannot find the order, amount, or transaction in their records to verify and refund. They are not interested to help you and will rather keep your money for no reason.
Answer: Half real half scam wil work for a day or 2 then lock you out
Answer: The monthly money is for an additional service. You can opt out of it at the time of your order. Supposedly. Check other reviews. Many of them say they were still charged after canceling the service. My best suggestion is to stay away from Chegg if at all possible.
Chegg has a rating of 1.2 stars from 450 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Chegg most frequently mention customer service, credit card and free trial. Chegg ranks 106th among Textbooks sites.
