So Chemung Canal wants my opinion and a rating. Probably not. I would say that branch staff, and bookkeeping can be nice, but they are not cooperative. Ask them to do anything outside of standing there and smiling, and you will feel the antagonism. Me, I get antagonistic right back. I did do a bit of screaming, but I rather think the bank personnel earned it.
There is a federal law that obligates banking institutions to guarantee their depositors a current statement, and you have agreements with MasterCard to handle disputes. These two items have been in constant question. When I call you lazy and stupid it is a fact you worked very hard to earn those accolades.
I would recommend that you need work, a lot of work in these areas.
Three times now, I have butted heads with banking staff over connectivity and reporting. The major dispute was in the area of frauds, and they refused to help when I discovered a scam in my charges. Having money in your bank entitles me to certain things. The banking code allows me to collect damages here for certain defects,, and yet the account was closed without notification. I had to actually threaten the punk you call a manager at the Slingerlands office in order to get my funds and a printed statement, which he did not do with any integrity.
Do you have a goal here of seeing how hard to push David. You do know that is called Schadenfreude, and that it is considered a disease. I would recommend not getting contanimated.
Tip for consumers:
A list of instruction would have been helpful. You know, like "We do not do disputes."
