I entered into a multi car transaction with the Mosley's whereby I sold to them 4 high quality classic cars in outstanding condition and in return they traded to me 2 late model sports coupes and cash. David had the opportunity to have his agent inspect my cars at my residence prior to any transaction, which he did. The first transaction was an even trade for 2 of my classics for a 2004 Corvette ZO6. To be completely fair and honest this Corvette had less than 20k miles, was almost immaculate, It was a striking car to say the least. David represented the car has "Stock, with the exception of a Cat Back exhaust." It was during a visit with my mechanic for an an initial inspection after purchasing the car that I was advised the Corvette was not "stock", not even close. The car had a stage 2 head\cam set up from SLP plus a performance intake manifold and bigger injectors, full length headers, racing clutch, modified ECM tune...etc. This car was represented as stock and no modifications were made known to me at the time of purchase. The second transaction was a straight up purchase of a car he wanted from me and that transaction went well with no issues or complaints. The last transaction involved a car I had that he wanted. I accepted a SLP Camaro from his inventory plus cash for my car. The Camaro was represented as in very good condition with no known issues other than a weak battery and a small A\C refrigerant leak that they had "fixed". The Camaro had numerous engine, cooling, A\C and suspension issues that would all be discovered by the time I got the car home from immediately following the purchase. There were several engine codes that illuminated the check engine light within the first 50 miles of my trip home. These turned out to be a fuel pump and a Secondary Air Injection Pump and hoses. The A\C was no longer cooling by the time I got home and that turned out to be a condenser, drier and several seals. Alarmingly, both lower control arm bushings were bad with one busing rubbing metal to metal on the drive home. Fortunately, the bushings held up and I experienced only vibrations and a metal grinding sound and was not involved in a crash as a result of a front suspension failure. To be fair to David, the Camaro's appearance both on top and underneath was very nice and the interior was in great condition with the exception of a cracked top dash cover which was easily replaced by me later. The car did start hard but otherwise drove reasonably well. My issue with both of these transactions is not the cars themselves or any faults that they had but with the "Misrepresentation" of the cars. I trusted David to be as honest and forthcoming with me as I was with him. To be certain that I gave David what I represented to him it was necessary for me to spend several thousand dollars on one car in particular to replace the transmission and a few other parts that were in need of attention to make certain I did right by them, my reputation is important to me. He did not do the same for me. I also gave David a couple thousand dollars worth of spare parts and old stock items for the classic cars for no charge. It became obvious to me that those engine codes on the Camaro were cleared before my test drive. He has a Mechanic on staff and certainly would have known what the issues were present with the car and should have told me. The other faults with the car such as the hard start condition and the weak A\C were "minimized" by David or outright misrepresented as my repair receipts will clearly testify. The battery was indeed weak and there was an A\C leak but the repair costs involved much more than a simple battery swap and some A\C freon. The repairs to the car were extensive at the beginning to correct all of the faults. I gave David's business a one star because of the misrepresentations and lack of honesty and transparency not because of the quality of the cars I purchased from him.
