First I paid for 2-3 days shipping. Ordered on October 21, just received today 10/29. There was no way to track my purchase - contacted customer service - no help. I purchased a cross to wear. It came with a piece of string that was so tiny it was ridiculous. I couldn't even tie it in a knot. Their return policy is that you can't return it unless you haven't opened it. I will NEVER order anything from this place again. I find it offensive that they actually call themselves the Christian book. Items are overpriced and not worth the money. Find a Christian store near you instead.

I ordered on 9/1 a workbook for my son's homeschool education. The item was on backorder unknown to me. No where did it say that on the site, on my receipt OR confirmation email. I contacted them after 2 weeks with no word on my order. They let me know it was on backorder then but back in stock 2 days later so I decided to wait. Still no order. I've now been waiting OVER a month for my order. They provided a shipping number 5 days ago that still shows just a label being created and no tracking information. I will NOT be ordering from this company again... Good Luck if you choose otherwise!

Quick shipping service and I received my products within a week. They are all nicely packed, making sure no products are damaged during shipping and delivery. And the prices of the books, Bibles, DVDs, CDs are cheaper than the bookstores.
Next time when I have to purchase some resources for my church, I will buy from this website.

I purchased several books - once I received them, I realized I bought the wrong ones so I resealed the box, paid for shipping and shipped them back expecting a full refund. Well, that's not what I got. Instead I get charged a 20% restocking fee! That's absurd - last time I will ever use this company.

I've ordered from this site a few times. I had to call customer service only once. When I called I also spoke to a woman named Cathy/Kathy, I thought she was sweet. Maybe some of the employees have been reprimanded for thwireless customer service and are doing better, I don't know. I called to tell them I received everything in my order except one thing but, there was one thing in my box I didn't order. She told me to keep or give it as a gift free of charge and that they would get the cd I ordered in the mail and I received it in less than a week. Side note: make sure you do read side notes about the Bibles, there are some on their page that they sell super cheap because of a scratch or it might be slightly damaged for whatever reason.

Ordered a lot of homeschool products for upcoming year from Christianbooks.com. Got an email that certain items have shipped. The rest are listed as in process. All of the items where suppose to be in stock! I called customer service and they are guessing that their where 2 boxes and one of them wasn't scanned before shipping. So now I am waiting to see if all the in process items have shipped. Need these books for a certain date and do not have time for guessing that they have been shipped. Will not be ordering from this site again. Very sloppy shipping system and policies.

I am a long-time customer of this site and am very pleased with the products and service I have received. Only once has my order been wrong... I called customer service and they sent me the missing part of my order with 2 day shipping at no extra charge. It's my favorite place to shop for Christian music and books, especially when I can't get the same items locally.

I've been buying on line from ChristianBook going on three years and never had a problem with this company I did a lot of my Christmas shopping on line last year with them and saved me a lot of time and money, I got free shipping and packages were mailed to my love ones so I didn't have to deal with the stores and post office

They debited my bank account several times and cause an over charge over 300 dollars. Very bad place. They got upset at me over 27 dollar when they owe me over 300 dollar. They cause me over 135 dollars of NSF fees and all they can do is divert it to Paypal. This is why people stop being christian because of this kind of BS. A non christian organization would help out more than this christian organization. Never buy books from them unless you want to be over charge and treated rudely.

I was looking for LEGO ® Icons Botanical Bonsai Tree, which was sold out everywhere, but this site had it available for $5.00 less than MSRP, but for preorder. I had never ordered from here before, but decided to try it out. Sure enough, the item came through on time, about 1 month after I had ordered it. They even sent me periodic updates -- i ordered the item on 4/17, I received an update (just confirming the order is still in) on 5/2 and 5/12, then a shipping notification on 5/17. It arrived on 5/23.

I ordered a nice high end Bible, that had a small problem. I emailed my complaint and received a response almost immediately from a real live person. I submitted a photo of the problem yesterday, and this morning the representative very nicely, resolved the problem.
Very impressive!

Tip for consumers:
Customer service was with a real live person. Price of product was great.

I ordered a compact bible because it was on sale to take with me on a mission trip. Ordered on Feb 11 and not due to arrive until March 5, too late for my trip! Should have gone with Amazon where I would have got free and quick shipping. The extra cost would have been worth it.

Disappointed placed order 15 day ago and still no merchandise. Called and each time was told delivery is on its way and each time merchandise did not arrive. Starting to think this company is a scam. Planning on reporting to better business bureau. Don't purchase from this company - most unchristian!

Really bad imprinting your name on the Bible.
Order an imprint, the Bible came defective (dent on the edge near the imprinted name).
Request a replacement, the Bible also came with a similar dent as before.
It looks like whoever did the imprint didn't care at all.

Asked for return, only gave me one label when I have 2 Bibles in 2 boxes to ship back.
Had to ask for another label.

God wants us all to be runners in this Christian life. God has a plan for each one of us and we need to follow that plan. Do not be afraid to step out and even run if you need to. Its never to late to fulfil you destiny. Start where you are. You may think you wasted a lot of time but you can always start over. Its never to late as long as you are still living. God always has a way of working things out even when you do not think he does. Run the race that is set before you. Do not look back. Keep going forward.

I have been seriously disappointed with this company since "Covid-19"! My first order this year was placed in March and I didn't receive my order until July! Now I placed an order in September and have only received 1 out of three items. The other 2 are on back order, but it didn't state they were when I ordered! I am so frustrated that I can't start all of my school at once.

I placed my order on 9/19 with 1-2 weeks shipping. I tracked my items and it was going from states to states. Items left NJ on 9/20. It went from NJ to LA California on 9/24, then to AZ on 9/25. On 10/2 item was supposed to come to its destination in Nevada but it skipped me and went back to LA. 10/3 will make it 2 weeks since order was placed. I am yet to receive my items. Very bad shipping plan for customers. I won't be ordering again from ChristianBook again. The little difference between buying from a different site does not worth this useless shipping.

I was reading the reviews and noticed the one about the rude customer service rep named Kathy. I also recently had a problem with an order and ending up speaking with Kathy, or Cathy. Not sure about the spelling. She was very rude and abrupt. She was adamant about my item not being damaged and yet I was looking at it and describing the damage to her. Terribly rude person. Will not order from there again.

Item was backordered- never contacted about that. Paid extra for 2 day air shipping and tracking was not updated. Regardless it's still not here and tracking says it would take 4 days total. When contacted, I would have expected a refund on the shipping - but nothing.

I am very unhappy with this bookseller. I recently bought a very expensive Cambridge Bible. When it came it was scratched. I returned it and they sent me another one and it had stamping problems on the front. I have bought alot of Bibles in my life and this is the first time I have purchased two Bibles damaged. I wondered if they were seconds. Christianbook says they are not! I have my doubts. At any rate I will not use them again.

I have used this company many times over the years and have always had great experiences. I recently placed a order and had an issue when it arrived. I emailed customer service and they addressed it within 24 hours. Incredible!

I have been purchasing items at christianbook.com for over 10 years. In the past I have been completely satisfied. However this year I placed two orders with christianbook.com and both times I had missing items. The first time I had a missing item I was completely understanding and super nice about it. The second time I was very frustrated and wanted to be compensated for my time. They offered me free shipping on a future order, which is a total joke since they give free shipping all the time on orders. Another frustrating part was one of the items which was missing was now on backorder and they did not know when it would be sent to me. They acted like they did not care that both my orders had missing items and that it was a total waste of my time to call them. I will not be purchasing from them again - just use Rainbow Resource and Amazon in the future.

I ordered books a month ago. Sent me emails that they would arrive paperback books not arrived yet but they are already out and in Walmart. Bought them at Walmart they can get them faster going to start buying them at Walmart won't have to pay shipping the books are out i just cannot get them to send them to me. My last time to order. If they are in my local Walmart why cant they ship what I ordered? Karen Smith Alabama

Advertised as "large print" when it absolutely wasn't. Then they gave me a hassle about shipping costs when returning the item. They also initially taxed the shipping cost but then only refunded me tax WITHOUT shipping costs. Scam?! I'm contending some of the charges with my credit card since "christian books" wouldn't do the right thing and give me my full refund. I highly recommend you find another company to purchase your books from.

I ordered college books from them for my husband. They said they shipped them on the 3rd found out this was a lie. They had tracking for one and not the other orders. And my husband has still not received them 3 weeks later. I called to find out about it they said it takes 4-6 weeks to receive the items once shipped. I do not know what postal service they use but it only takes a week for my packages to get to him. When I complained the guy on the phone told me I could go through a different company next time and was very rude. Not very Christ like attitude. I will not be ordering through them again.
