This is the worst site I have ever used. I tried to send them a wire and they could not give me the instructions of how to get a wire there. Their chat help transfers you endlessly and uselessly to other expert who do not read the chat history so you have to endlessly repeat the issue. I have been in the finance world for almost 50 years and sending a wire is a simple process and I can get the instructions from any decent institution in a few minutes but not coinbase. Their security verification process is hopeless, I used the same id pictures that got me approved at IRS the VA and DOD but coinbase couldn't verify after 20 attempts. By the way they lie about things and their default answer is to refer you to some article which does not help. The only good thing is that the phone support doesn't keep you on hold forever.

Extraordinary high trade charge fee, and various of high charge, it is very easy and fast transfer your money to coinbase account, but if you don't want trade, it is more longer you think to cash out as trap. It's nightmare for new digital trader. Believe it or not? You will lost huge money in trade and charge fee!

I was hacked 2-19-21 and lost 14,500 worth of Ether on coinbase exchange. My bad for being hacked (trust nobody). I still had ******* in my coinbase cold wallet. I called and had my account frozen. Over a year it's still frozen. I filed with the police, fbi, sec, bbb, attorney general, consumer product protection, 3 attorneys and no one could help me, no one! I just filed my 2021 taxes and claimed my initial investment as a loss! The last year I have learned how to trade stocks and guess what? Coinbase is on the American stock exchange, ticket symbol coin. Oh boy what an answered prayer! I have been shorting coinbase! I have studied and have mastered coinbase's chart and understand the technical analysis concerning when to short this evil! Nothing has been more gratifying than seeing multiple red candles leading down, down and down and my profits going up, up and up! And recently with the market dropping it has never been easier to short this evil. So if you are down in the dumps because of coinbase don't be! Let's all gang up on coinbase and short them! Now is the PERFECT time to short and strike BACK. Pay back is a b_tch coinbase!

Have used coinbase for a couple of years now and it's been mostly fine and there website is easy to navigate. However, I went to sell some bitcoin the other week and they said they needed my ID again. Everytime I took a photo of it they said an error occurred. It took me weeks to get into my account and their support is useless. By the time I got in the price of bitcoin has dropped significantly and it cost me thousands, not impressed.

My money was held for over 2 weeks. Absolutely useless! Don't waste your time! Customer care was a joke IF u could manage to get to it.

With anything online you have to be careful. Coinbase is an absolute joke. You do the two-step verification you do the identity you do the picture of your face everything for verification and they still hold you like you are a criminal for 6 days to be able to buy and sell crypto coin. You cannot Place everybody in one lump people trying to commit fraud and that's exactly what coinbase does it is a joke. Somebody suggested that I tried to use it to buy crypto coin after 1 hour of talking with the technical support and sending them my ID verification on more than one occasion and on top of that trying to open up prior coinbase account it has been an unbelievable joke if I were c e o of coinbase I take myself outside and kick my own a#@. Pull your heads out of your Collective a@#es

Falling just short of being an outright scam, this service will take your money and 'lose' it. There are no avenues to recover lost funds and customer service is non-existent.

Expect hidden fees, unreliable transactions and general ineptitude. My money was lost during a simple deposit of crypto, would never reccomend using coinbase's exchange, wallet or even their news app as all are unreliable and seem to be set up to cycle through new customers and steal their crypto through "errors".

Don't be surprised if you use coinbase to transfer crypto and it simply disappears. Coinbase site showed no transaction history and changed the addresses of all of my wallets. After providing evidemce of this via email, the blamed me for the "mistake" and said it was "irreversible" despite me having proof that the funds were in a coinbase owned wallet.

"Never attribute malice to what can be explained by stupidity" is the only reason I won't declare this an outright scam.

Beware positive reviews as coinbase is known to pay reviewers and bribe customers with false promises of crypto rewards for positive ratings.

Though Coinbase makes it sound easy and quick, the reality is that you have to wait a long time before doing anything with the funds. The funds have already been withdrawn from my bank account but Coinbase wants to wait another 11 days for the transaction to complete, or so it says. If you want to transfer the funds to a friend from reimbursement, it's another 11 days. Really?! This does not work well... not sure why people would use it when you have to wait at every turn!

If I can give less than Zero I will. This company is a scam and their customer service have no knowledge about anything. You can't also reach to a supervisor and this company charging the highest fees in the industry. For what? When you need help they let you scammed and lose money. Please stay away if you want to keep your money safe.

Coinbase will not help at all if your account was hacked. No customer service help at all! Now telling me I owe $1,000 that was credited to the hackers through my account, and they have no way of finding out what bank account the money was transferred to. What a complete scam!

I was a long time customer that joined back in 2014 when I was a crypto miner. Then Coinbase was the easiest way to convert crypto to cash. Since then it has tried to expand to offer other financial services. Part of this expansion involved adopting the KYC (know your customer) guidelines that banks and other financial institutions use. In my case, it was the verification feature where you send in identification documents. New requirements meant that to perform all of the functions that I had been able to perform previously, I would need to verify my identity... FINE. I did.

The problem was that they had a bug in the process and it didn't work. After that my account was rendered unusable because any transaction of value required a verification which would not work.
I fought with them for 3 days talking to support staff and so-called administrators. They were all very friendly, but all totally worthless. When I finally asked them to liquidate my assets and make them available to transfer back to my bank account, one support tech actually offered me the opportunity to forfeit them (to Coinbase) to make a clean break.

For me, only a trivial amount of money was at stake but for them to handle my situation so terribly, I cannot imagine trusting them with any substantial sum of money. As of this writing, my account is still unusable and I am still working on ways to send my assets elsewhere to empty the account before I close it. The bottom line is that their "support" is completely worthless even when the error is theirs. I wish that I could give them zero stars.

Today there are other players in the industry. You would do well to investigate alternatives to Coinbase's services... at least until they 1) fix their verification software and 2) drastically improve the effectiveness of their customer support.

I purchased bitcoins 12/10/17 and decided to sell Nov 2021and my nightmare began. Since 2017 I changed my email address that was associated with bitcoin account. Coinbase asked me to verify my ID which I did by uploading very clear pictures front and back of my drivers license and my face. Since I don't own a web cam I drove 3 hours at night to my brother's home who owns a webcam. After uploading very clear photos coinbase said they would contact 24 hours later with a decision. Well they denied me 24 hours later without any specific explanation. As of today 2/18/2022 and uploading Liscense, union cards, bank statements (they requested recently) mortage statements, social security card, union pipefitter card, veteran ID they still deny me my bitcoins. Still without any explanation. They allowed me to open a new account transferring myect old email(*******@yahoo.com) to my new email (*******@yahoo.com)but these thieves won't return my bitcoins. When I file a formal complaint they ask for all kinds of Bank statements, ect. I provide but they refuse to return my bitcoins. They feel they can steal and no one can hold them accountable. Again my formal complaint #******* was closed again(without any explanation). This company employees are like the employees in the movie (The wolf of Wall street). Bitcoin needs to be regulated to prevent systems from stealing hard working American veterans money.

This is the most horrible app I've ever used for anything customer service is horrible they overcharge you for everything there Hass to be a better place to deal with bitcoin or cryptocurrency than this place this place is a rip off

Wish I could give it zero stars have already spent 3 hours going back in fourth with customer service through email and phone and have gotten nowhere at all. Would go into detail but coinbase has wasted enough of my time and money already.

It has taken weeks for them to respond to my request for help, they, I mean whomever writes back take no time to address the issues and gtive some kind of directions. No customer support at all and to tghink that they managte billions of dollars. Coinbase customer service is a disgrace to the company and perhaps does not care about the wellbeingt of tghe company, or is a representation of COINBASE policies. It is sad to be honest.

I have been using Coinbase for several months and at first things were fine. However someone changed the password on my account and it's been over two weeks and I still don't have access to my account. I'm in a horrible loop of resetting and waiting for them to follow up. I call repeatedly and they say the same thing—wait 24-48 hours and you'll have access. Two weeks later, hours on the phone with inept representatives and no way to escalate. Once I get access to money I'm closing my account.

I had $10,000 staked in Ethereum. Hackers got into my account so I had my account locked the same day. Their customer service reps end with knowing how to lock your account. Everything else is "escalated" to the fraud department that you can't take to but through generic emails. I was able to talk to one rep who told me that he can see that in my account I have $0 and actually a balance left owing.? How the f*** so I owe money? The only activity I've had on my account was when I staked that money MONTHS ago! Now it's gone, I owe them, and nobody knows how to help or cares to.

You want a job doing nothing at all? Apply for Coinbase. You don't have to do much and I'm convinced you bonus when they successfully empty a clients account.
The photo shown is a screen shot of the last email I received from them. Did you resolve my issue? Are you f****** kidding me?! You have access to my account? You tell me it's the issue is fixed. I have explained the situation again and again and again. I'm going in circles.
