For over 400 years the Maasai have had early marriage, sometimes with girls at 12 years old. The father sells the daughter usually for several cows. Kenya has passed a law forbidding early marriage but the Maasai continue to follow there old tradition. Coins For Change is working with the only female Chief in Kenya to stop early marriage. To help, Coins For Change just built a new SafeHouse. Now, they are requesting funds to feed the girls staying at the SafeHouse. The best part is that Coins For Change send every coin donated to the girls. They have no management costs.
