I joined after seeing an ad on TV because I wanted to see what sorts of people were on there.
I discovered that there are few to no real people at all.
I get one message per day, at about the same time, from a person who usually has no photo, and a profile with zero to 10 words in it. Obvious fakes.
I can't read the messages because I haven't paid for a subscription. I'm sure they are nearly empty, just sent to make me pay to see them.
Just to add, I have been on multiple free dating sites and usually get one message every few months. It is beyond obvious that one message a day is total BS.
No ability to filter your matches, what they call matches is enough to not want to date ever again.
Technically an ill devised website,
Talk about false and deceptive advertising
Recently signed up as a female user. Looking to meet nice young men that had time to travel. Delete about 90 % of the inquiries since men don't have anything nice to say but show me your pictures!
But for those who have been creative, and had something to say and wrote a profile, we have gone on trips, dinners, had lots of fun etc! Guys! Get creative!
Much like with most dating sites, they send spam that you can't read until you pay them. I had figured "Hey, maybe a site with this big of a name is on the up & up because of a large user base," but it seems that is not the case. Don't believe any of the high rated reviews, this site is garbage and full of bots.
I signed up and then my accout was deleted with no explanation, I am guessing it's because I said I don't like curry which in fact is the $#*!ING TRUTH! They can go ahead and delete it cause I'd never date anyone who smells like that $#*!. What a LAME website where u cant even be honest cause it might offend someone F that $#*!!
No review, really... I just saw it advertised on TV so went on-line out of curiosity (I guess you'd call me "one of them cougars"). Didn't like the reviews I've seen so far. It's pathetic... it's hard enough to meet someone the "old school" way, then folks rely on the information highway to help them along, and you run into sites like this one. If you want an absolutely FREE *the "no frills" version, of course - you can pay for the "premium" one, but why would you?) check out PlentyOfFish.com. It's not specifically for cougars, but it's a good site you can trust. Happy hunting!
I got several e-mails in my GMail for this site. It's a scam. I've never even heard of this site (plus I'm married). Just like every other Nigerian or eastern European scam, they send mass e-mails and set up fake accounts for each of the SPAM e-mails.
I am a young male that at times has been enticed by the made up "cougar" type. That said i still cant believe how offensive their commercial is towards younger women who are not wealthy, and also towards vegans (im not a vegan but have friends who are). What a waste of time and money from these criminals who bend the truth for profit. Just like our American Government :)
Saw commercial, gave it a try. Can't believe the majority of active profiles in Canada's largest city are "video chat" girls from USA/Europe with extensive contact info in profile.
Cancelled recurring subscription, same day. CL's Terms of service employ "Cougar C's", virtual profiles. All female profiles with "... has not filled in 'About Me' or 'Looking For' yet. Send a message to find out more about them." are all FAKE profiles.
Not worth time or money.
Do not pay for this site it is a scam you pay $50 for the initial subscription. They make fake profiles and send you of messages when u reply to these messages (from fake profiles) you use "credits" which you only have a limited amount of. Well when those "credits" are all used up you can't message anyone untill you purchase more credits. Every womens profile says the same bio! Everyone who payed like me dispute the charge with apple and let people know its a scam! Its robbery without a gun
I'm not too sure if its good or bad because the only other site ive used is justcougars.com, but I feel like one good experience in three months isn't really good enough. The hookup happened in my fourth week on the site, so its been AGES now since ive had any action from this site and im now not sure if I should renew. Maybe I got lucky on justcougars but I know I had a lot more fun during my first three months there, so don't really understand whats going wrong here. The site clearly has real women and ive not changed the way I act (if anything Ive been sending more messages since the hookup) so im a bit discouraged. As a guy who likes older women there aren't that many good dating sites for me to use, so I do hope I have more luck if I decide to renew.
IMHO this site could be better. Sure it gets a lot of good reviews n may be im going against the grain here but for me its still not as good as justcougars.com yet. Just my honest opinion. Dave fi Belfast
I am finding this site to be interesting, no doubt. Have I been laid yet? No, not exactly. But im finding the site similar to the other one I use (justcougars.com) and ive been lucky there a few times over the last six months, so im sure it will happen for me on CL soon. Ive found real women to talk to, horny older ladies just as the site promised so cant complain at that. But for me im having to search a bit far from my local area to be bothered actually arranging a meet up. My fault for living out in the sticks I suppose. The chats are keeping me going so far and are worth the money.
It seems like cougars using this site are searching for a long term relationship. Unlike on Cougars69 you will most likely not find a fast and easy hook up. Nothing wrong with that, just saying. If you want a serious relationship with an older woman it may be the best site to use. But I was searching for some casual action and obviously other sites are way better to find "naughty cougars".
Cougarlife is an okay site I guess. Some women in my area so cant really complain. Not sure if it will be any where near as good as justcougars.com has been for me but if it is then ill be one happy aussie...
I don't give a damns what y'all say: CL rocks! Other sites don't come close. Only great alternative I see is Cougars69.com but it will only hook you up with cougars looking for no strings attached dating. If you want a serious relationship CL is the site to use!
Yes there is fake profiles, don't be fooled by it a little bit of common sense goes a long way sometimes. And yes there is real women though on there. I met some women in person and had some fun so it can work. But due to their auto subscription that's what irritates me about the site and lack of customer service willing to work with you. Bottom line: it can work, but just not a good company to do business with!
I started out with the free membership. Then I kept getting flirts and messages that I could not read unless I paid for it. The messages were fake. I took the bait like an idiot. I just was eager to meet someone. Most of the woman are fake too good to be true $#*!es. I HATE Cougarlife and myself for wasting $45. If you wanna meet cougars try talking to real woman in your town
I guess when it comes to finding women to shag youre never gonna be satisfied but I still feel cougarlife could do better. I was more impressed by justcougars.com and that's more of an 'under the radar' site so I thought JC would blow my mind. Not quite happened but still enjoying some naughty chats with a few filthy ladies in desperate need of some slap n tickle;-) Not all bad!
As a forty year old woman, Im very much in the cougar bracket so figure I should be able to add my two cents on CougarLife. This is the first specific site ive tried, aside from the more general ones like OK Cupid and eHarmony. Much prefer this as I dont have to deal with loads of messages from older men trying to get me to meet them and also dont have to spend time trying to contact guys I fancy and not get a reply due to my age. I like younger guys, have done for years, so joining a site that lets them come to me is exactly what I need. Not had any dates yet but definitely think it will happen soon. If not ill try one of the others (Ive read a lot of good things about JustCougars.com so thats next on the list). But for the moment im just happy that these options are out there to help us hot cougars!
Answer: No the site is a scam
Answer: No, there are real people on that site BUT: 1. You're "annual membership" is actually a set number of credits you can use toward emails, once they are gone, so is your membership. 2. To encourage you to spend you're credits, the site will bombard you with fake profiles to reply to. A little research, and you can easily tell who's real or not. Unfortunately they won't tell you when the persons last login was, why? Nobody ever logs on. So you're in essence wasting your time emailing to real people unless they reach out to you first.
CougarLife has a rating of 1.6 stars from 258 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with CougarLife most frequently mention fake profiles, credit card and customer service. CougarLife ranks 656th among Dating sites.
