This site was extremely helpful for my fundraiser! It kept the fundraiser organized and always let me know whenever someone donated, or anything else that happened. I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a fundraising website.
My organisation used this service and have yet to receive check. Its been two months, they route you through several different companies, such as Network for Good that sound great but don't deliver. I am now on hold waiting for 10+ minutes trying to speak with someone.

Quintas, our service representative has been a great help. Via conference call in two locations, Quintas guided us through the details of the Claim Your Nonprofit process with attention and skilled listening. He even provided responses via e-mail on the weekend. Kudos to Crowdrise for choosing talented and knowledgeable individuals like Quintas to provide Excellent No Nonsense Friendly Customer Service. We are new at this, but with Quintas we have every expectation we will find success. The motivated students for whom we are raising money deserve no less. Thank you for this transformative platform.

So I was recently diagnosed with MS, bummer. I decided to do a joint birthday/announcement to all of my friends and family to receive a donation rather than buying me a gift or drink. Was thinking if I worked hard I could get to $2,000. I hit $1,000 in an hour with final amount being over $8,000.
CrowdRise team was great. I reached out to them for advice and they not only recommended me a few MS organizations to choose (I wanted an org where most the money would go to research, not administration), they even helped and created a Custom Template for my page to have a feel more appropriate to me. Also nice not having to handle all of the cash and donations myself using their system.
I will definitely use them for my next fundraiser.
I know the above is not a true word, but no words can truly embody my experience with crowdrise. They have been more than helpful. I feel I am working with family who care about my needs and silly questions. Their response have been fast, their generosity is incredible, and their consideration is comforting. They helped me obtain much needed goals for my cat who was sick and are continuing to do so with my son who literally is half way around the world out of my arms. They are taking a huge load off my mind in knowing they are there. Thank you Crowdrise Team!
Is any companies' customer service team better or more efficient than Crowdrise's? Seems hard to believe. Response time is unbelievable, they always respond quickly, efficiently and with help for whatever your problem may be and never seem annoyed by the simplicity or complicated nature of your request. I've worked with a couple of the different fundraising platforms and always like working with this one the best!
I made an account on CrowdRise with very little expectations, and they really blew me out of the water. Aside from fundraising, they do so many other cool things as part of their site. They are hilarious and I honestly laugh out loud everytime I get an email or look on the site. They have excellent customer service, which I feel is hard to find these days. They always promote sending thank you's and donating to other's fundraisers. I had the most enjoyable experience with them and would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.
Honest to God, I emailed a random email, which is usually sent to some bull$#*! third party, but they fixed my problems... off bat. They didn't send me anywhere else, and I actually had 2 issues... they solved both... then they asked if they could do more. Amazing... I love these guys.
Outstanding product and second to none in customer service. I love chatting with their team. They have never NOT helped me and ALWAYS go above and beyond what you ask of them. This company should be a model for others, without a doubt. Love love love Crowdrise - as a race director, we've been using them for 4 years.
My experience with Crowdrise has been amazing. It was really easy to setup a fundraiser for my favorite charity and get my friends/family to make donations rather than give me birthday gifts this year. Really great all around.
This is one of the most needlessly confusing products I have ever used. They make you set up teams within fundraisers within fundraisers within teams, like this were the plot of Inception. Add onto that the complete lack of user support I reached out multiple times and did not receive a single email reply and CrowdRise was an absolute nightmare. Stay away!
I committed some money to a very good cause (a child's dangerous heath condition) via this bad service, and paid a most obnoxious fee ($13.00) to make the donation. I had to commit as a matter of honor and duty to my family, but I find this sort of venture reprehensible. I am also struck by the irony, the only amusing aspect of this experience, of Ed Norton and his liberal sorts making a fortune off the group efforts, need, and pain of others with this incredibly capitalistic enterprise.
CrowdRise has one of the most responsive and personable support teams I've ever encountered. Their platform is very easy to use and the promotions that they offer are a great incentive to entice people to donate to your cause. I have been very pleased with my experience on CrowdRise.
I used to work at a marketing company where I was in charge of making sure that our client's crowd funding campaigns were successful. When I learned about Crowdrise, I was floored about the customer service that I would receive from this platform compared to other, well known, options. The community that is on Crowdrise is so supportive. When I launched my first Crowdrise campaign, I created a relationship with my assigned person and could not have had a better experience on any other platform. I support Crowdrise 100%.
I wanted to love crowdrise, it seems awesome, but then... you go to donate and unless you read every detail on that donate page an extra 10% "tip" will be tacked onto your donation. This is WRONG! Of course, I should read every detail, and I did, but what if I didn't? This just screams deceptive. How many people are they tricking?
My friend and I started a CrowdRise page to help find a cure for her daughters illness. We are not computer savvy and this was our first time at this kind of stuff--and we messed it up big time. Not only on the CrowdRise site but on the WePay site. Falco was able to understand the problem and took the initiative to coordinate with WePay to get things sorted out--all the while maintaining a sense of humor and with a great deal of patience. I would recommend to his boss that he gets some recognition/reward for his commitment to great customer service! Lisa Jones
The Crowdrise platform has dramatically increased our ability to fund raise! Our support contact at Crowdrise has been an active and engaged team partner throughout the process. I was surprised at how involved she was and interested in helping us succeed. What a breath of fresh air!
What a fantastic company. I can't say enough good things about them. They do amazing charity work and make donating easy and safe. Also I had a fantastic customer service chat with Falco today. He was super friendly and responsive and help me so much. He went above and beyond to get me the help and info I needed. I totally recommend these guys
This is one of the biggest nightmare sites. It doesn't get worse than this site. It took 3 days and 5 emails to get the donation site working. I think customer support has one person working 9-5. Good luck. There is no way to change change or edit photos or texts. Even pull up your site is difficult. Yuk, why did I not read reviews first.
My review for you is just what I told them:
"Thank you so much for your awesome, epic, spectacular help over the last month. I will highly recommend Crowdrise to anyone and everyone. You all exceeded my expectations and hopes. Thanks a million."
Just used Crowdrise. They now have the lowest, simplest pricing of any crowdfunding website. I raised money for my sister's medical expenses. Their service is better than Zappos. And, they now guarantee 3% pricing. I actually kept over $98 of every $100 donated. Ignore the negative reviews. Crowdrise is the real deal.
When I found out they charged almost 9% to give to the charity of my choice, I decided to send a check. I can understand a $2 to $5 processing fee, but this is disgusting especially since they are supposed to serve non-profits.
You can donate to most non profits through PayPal for a lot less money.
I'm trying to donate $100 to a friend running in the Chicago marathon and Crowdrise are charging me over 10% in fees. Surely there are regulations around how much they get to take away from a charity? I really want to donate but I don't want to support these kind of unethical business practices.
Hey Gus, we definitely want you to have the best experience on CrowdRise. The additional fees are completely optional for you to add to your $100 donation. They allow you to give 100% of your donation to charity so the organization benefits the most. We can definitely help with everything so if you have any questions or would like additional information please contact me at Quintas@CrowdRise.com and I'll be able to answer anything and everything. Thanks so much, Quintas
Once you donate. Or create a cause. Can't get the money out of your account until you provide your bank account information and social security number. They don't tell you that in the beginning. However, after i complained, they did credit my credit card without having to provide extra information.
I understand that there's often a ~3% fee for credit card transactions (although I would like to hear that crowdrise has negotiated with credit card companies to reduce these fees for charitable donations), but where exactly is the additional 5-6% going? That seems like a very high fee for simply "processing" a donation. I'd like to see a clear explanation of what you guys are doing with your fees. People making donations on your side aren't doing it to enrich the middle man.
Hey Eiling,
Thanks for the comment and I can definitely help explain all of our fee structure details for ya.
We offer fundraisers, charities and events on CrowdRise a pricing structure that allows their donors to cover their processing fees so 100% of the donation goes to their cause. The estimated 9% you're inquiring about represents the fees to get 100% of your donation to your cause. If you didn’t cover the fees, your fees would be 0% and your charity would see 5.9% (CrowdRise fees) + 2.9% + $0.30 (credit card fees) less go to their cause.
All charitable platforms charge fees to fundraise on their site plus standard credit card fees. CrowdRise is the ONLY platform that has built functionality so the donors can cover those fees. Right now 93% of donors choose to cover the fees, which is pretty amazing. And, that means, on average, over 98% of money raised is going directly to the cause. That's less than credit card fees. So, while this may have been slightly confusing, please know that this pricing structure is awesome for the benefiting causes and Charities.
We really want to help and hope this explained everything. If you have any more questions, please email us at Quintas@CrowdRise.com and we’ll be ready to dig in.

Hey Tony,
Thanks so much for your feedback.
Network for Good, the payment processor for the charity, sends checks to the beneficiary on the 15th of each month for any funds raised in the previous month. The checks are sent to the address on file with the IRS.
If the address is out of date the check may not make it to the intended recipient. In that case, the charity would need to update their address and then request a check reissue from Network for Good at no cost.
Super sorry for any delay.
