Keep in mind that the prices listed are per person based on a double occupancy cabin, in your case you selected 2 different cabins for one guest in each cabin. I recently wrote a review about a $100 coupon that was promised to me by cruise direct when I booked a cruise for me and my son on the Cunard flagship. I had tried for months to get the coupon with no success and finally gave up and wrote the review. It was a poor review and soon after I was contacted by a cruise direct staff member offering to resolve my problem if I retracted my review and that I would be compensated additionally for all the time Id spent going back and forth. I received another email with yet another link to a coupon and surprise, surprise after choosing an Amazon gift card this one did not work as well but I spent over an hour trying to get it to work all the Amazon site said was that the code given had already been redeemed. Of course I complained again and once again I've received no reply. It would seem that cruise direct has no intention of treating its customers correctly and I would advise anyone considering to book a cruise to reconsider using cruise direct.

UPDATE

I booked the cruise and the site says guaranteed low price. Well 2 days after my booking the price dropped by almost $200. I called back and they said because it's past 24 hours they can't honor it.

I booked a cruise with them 2 days ago. So far so good. They registered my on-board ship credit within a day. Their offers were slightly better than Expedia, Priceline, cruisecritic, etc. What I'm most impress so far is the customer service. It is so quick and friendly. I am dealing with Eugene Marc-Henry through on-line chat and he's very helpful. So far so good, I'll update after my cruise, hopefully 5 stars remain!

I try to ask some basic questions about the group discount. The CSR keep asking my person info such as email and phone number. Even I told him I am not ready to order and I am not comfortable to give that. He just keep going around your question but don't want to answer. I never see this kind of customer service before. How can I trust them and place the order if it is so tricky from the inquiry at the beginning?

Hello Sean, I do apologize that you felt our service was not up to par. For group rates there is not a set discount amount, every ship and sail date differs so the agent was not able to give you an estimated discount. Most groups have a lower rate, a lower deposit amount, an onboard credit and a free cruise fare for one guest if you book 8 or more staterooms. I would be happy to check some sailings for you and help you set up the group so you can share the information with your friends. If you need any assistance please don't hesitate to ask!

First, they charged me more than the published rate and then it took almost an hour on chat to get it straightened out. Booked ocean view with Cruise Direct and they gave us the worst room EVER and then declined to help us with another room. Book through them and expect the rooms the cruise line won't book. The customer service rep was very rude and told me if not happy I could just cancel for $440! Never again.

Hello Sherry, I am sorry to hear you did not have a good experience with our chat room. When you book a guarantee cabin it is assigned by the cruise line closer to sailing. Cruise Direct does not have the ability to select the cabin or change it once it is assigned. We do explain this at the time of booking but I am sorry that you were unhappy with the cabin assignment. I wish there was more I could to to assist you with this issue, but I will keep my eye on the sailing and if anything opens up I will reach out to you.

Booked a great fare with CruiseDirect.com. After a couple of months they claim it was a glitch in there system. If you look on the internet you see that this has happened before with cruise direct. There are other options out there. There customer service is just as bad. Never get back to you. Never send you a invoice. Very unreliable.

One of the worst online service. Customer service is like dealing with children. Have no answer to your question. I do not recommend this site to anyone. Very poor service and the people are not knowledgeable about what is going on. Go directly to the cruise line website for your booking.

I've been on 2 cruises booked with CruiseDirect, the experience had been superb both time!
Impeccable ships with plenty of food and entertainment, beautiful cities...
But the best part must be the CruiseDirect customer support, they are extremely fast and professional!

Texted with Hans Vega on the site about how I couldn't make my cruise and he helped me every step of the way. Could not have asked for better customer support. This guy seriously deserves a raise for the amount of effort he put in to helping me out. 10/10

Jeremae Doon was so helpful today with booking a honeymoon experience for my Fiance' and I. She had amazing communication on chat and over the phone. She also looked for the best rate and explained in specific detail all what we would get with our services!

Cruise direct had great pricing and customer service. Chat was available at 11:00 est. Nice to know you can get someone when you need help.

I was very worried I would not be able to get a room on the Carnival Sensation for the date I needed and because we needed a cabin for 5 people. Kyle was very helpful and not only found us a great price but also got Carnival to put a hold on it until the next day when I was able to pay. Thank you so much Kyle! What a nice young man he is. I booked my cruise so fast I chose the wrong date and used the chat service and not only that, but i had forgotten my past passenger information also and customer service changed my booking and was able to request an upgrade for me. They even helped choose a better room with the knowledge they had of the ship. Amazing service! Not my first time reserving with Cruisedirect.com, and certainly not my last!

It's my second time reserving through cruise direct and it's so easy and user friendly site, in addition to the great feature of online chatting. The agents are very cooperative. Sam Schofield is one of the agents I was glad to deal with.

So we booked a cruise with cruise direct this year. Once they had our money they were not interested in communicating with us much anymore. We had several problems booking into the cruise company only to find out the cruise company also had misinformation. This was not the fault of cruise direct.

But I can assure you that between the two of them persistently passing the buck neither company attempted to contact me directly I even posted on Facebook pages complaints trying to contact these companies numerous phone calls numerous live chat with promises repeated promises to contact me in 48 hours. Meantime I initiated almost all contacts. Still they pass the buck to the other company

Very very poor customer service on the part of both companies.

I have booked several cruises through CruiseDirect and I have nothing bad to say about the booking process, prices, or customer service. I had an issue with a booking once (because I clicked the wrong date like an idiot) and I called them right away and everything was fixed with no questions. My most recent discussion with an employee was exceptional! Jorge Rodriguez was my representative and he was polite, prompt, and knowledgeable with the questions I asked. Do not shy away from booking with CruiseDirect - you will not regret it.

My wife and I arranged a cruise though CruiseDirect.com and a week later we were informed our information was stolen. They refused to elaborate and will not tell us what all was stolen, how many people were affected, nothing. They wanted to offer money, while in the meantime we began receiving phishing emails, phone calls and our email, phone number and credit cards were hacked. We found our information was sold on the dark web and they refused to respond. I would NEVER, EVER recommend these people as they are ignorant A-Holes. Now the criminals also know when we will not be home! We had to contact security, police, Department of State as our passports were stolen, credit card and credit reporting. We just wanted our money back. We have to now replace our passports and my wife has a passport from a foreign country, so we have to fly there to get it replaced and it is in Europe. They people are despicable.

Jorge Rodriguez was absolutely amazing... With much reluctance I "chatted" a question on line. To my surprise, I ended up chatting and emailing Mr. Rodriguez until I got what I was looking for. Cruise Direct has so many more options than most sites I was on and their client care was untouched in my opinion. I am grateful for Mr. Rodriguez.

I had never been to the cruise direct website and I clicked on the chat option. I had the pleasure of interacting/chatting with Hans Vega who not only answered my questions as I was trying to book 2 rooms at a time for 4 people. Hans was so nice to offer to help me with the booking as I needed the rooms either next to each other or across the hallway. He really made a difference and I appreciated his honesty and transparency. I am referring other friends to him to help with their booking.

I have done many vacation reservations on-line, but this has been the best so far. I was hosted by Jeramae Doon and it has been such a delight to be advised and pampered as if we have been in touch for years. Took care of all details, had patience to resolve all my questions (many of them) and help me book my reservation in the most safe way. I loved the experience and I would recommend it to all.

I booked a cruise to Cuba with this company in April 2017. We had until June 2017 to pay this trip off. My travel buddy and I called repeatedly to make a payment on our cruise and they would not accept any payments stating that our cruise was paid in full. We communicated to them that that was not possible as my travel buddy had not paid her portion. They along with Norwegian communicated that no payments were needed because it was paid in full. On July 13th I happened to check my account and the amount for the cruise had been refunded and our cruise was cancelled with no communications from them on their end. I called them repeatedly to understand why this took place and they stated that their was a glitch in their system that didn't show the payment. They did not accept fault for this we were required to pay $400 more in order to book with Norwegian directly. NEVER will I ever use their services again!

There was a bug happened in the cruise company. $190 disappeared from the deposit I paid. Hans was so patient to help me. He called the cruise company and settled a very considerate solution. Would like to book again because of you, Hans.
